This is a well written informative guide. The authors describe social skills coaching as helping someone feel more comfortable in creating meaningful interactions and helping someone become more successful in creating positive social situations. The authors provide a practical approach grounded in extensive research. Although it is written primarily for practitioners, parents, teachers, supervisors, introverts and readers with a general interest in self-improvement can all benefit from the concepts and information in this book.

I was interested in reading this book since I worked as a personal and professional development coach for five years. A rather surprising thread had emerged among my clients. Whether they were seeing me for self-efficacy issues, small business consultation or career reboots, nearly all of my clients needed some form of social skills coaching. Most simply didn’t realize that their verbal and nonverbal skills played a great role in holding them back from achieving certain goals.

I highly recommend, 5 Things You Need to Know About Social Skills Coaching: Your Guide to Better Communication Skills in the Modern World. It is a concise and powerful professional guide.
