This book was funny and sweet and steamy and amazing. This was my first time reading from this author but I am sold and eager for the next!

Please read this book if you are interested in a story that will take you on a ride and leave you smiling after!

I tried to read this book. I really did, unfortunately, I found it to be rather dull and couldn't get through the first chapter.

Thinking her brand new car has been stolen, Ness runs into Josh, in a panic, trying to find her beloved BMW. Knight in shining armor he is, he helps the shrill, off-kilter, whiney woman. Something pulls him to her; he’s not quite sure what though.

This book is a calamity of errors for poor Ness. What can go wrong, will and does. And around every turn, her knight is there to pick her up and take care of her…in every way possible.

Ms. Holt has a way of pulling you into a story and make you want more. These two characters are POLAR opposite and to see them come together is comical. However, it is also BEYOND hot!! The chemistry between them is off the charts from the beginning and seeing them combust is oh so sweet. I love that this is the beginning of a series and I can see more to come!

Vanessa or Ness as she is called is a mess being a executive in a large corporation she is used to having control but when she meets Josh while screaming and crying like a crazy person she wants to get a handle on it. Josh can’t resist helping a beautiful woman but Ness just keeps getting into trouble and he can’t help but help her. When Ness and Josh spend some time together they can feel the attraction brewing but they both have so many hang ups about the opposite sex I can’t see this working. Ness does get herself in some messy situations and it’s so entertaining to see how flustered she gets, and Josh is beyond a gentleman. Short story but it really kept you entertained.

I did not finish this book. While I appreciate the offer to have the novel., I have stopped reading any romance novels that stray more into erotica.

This book was ok but I just couldn't really connect to the characters and I found some of the writing repetitive. I wouldn't be in a hurry to read more from this author

A steamy read that features Nessa and Josh. Both these characters have been hurt before and have the emotional scars and baggage to prove it. It was fun to see them work through their issues. These two do generate a good level of steam. I have to say to me Nessa seemed a bit shrewish. A pretty good read though.

A great introduction to this author for me. Loved the storyline and the characters. Relatable characters that will make you fall in love with their stories.

Vanessa and Josh were a couple that you couldn't help but wonder how they met and would they connect. This story made me laugh and parts made me swoon. I love everything that is written by Desiree Holt and this book is definitely added to that list. It is probably one of my top 10 books of hers and top twenty of all books I have read in the last five months. Thank you for allowing me to read this book.

I enjoyed reading about the romance between Ness and Josh. Both of them has felt the burn of bad relationship so they had their wall up but along the way, they were able to overcome their insecurity. Two alpha personalities with insecurity coming together. I will definitely recommend this book.

Constructing a Relationship

There were a few jerky moments (and not with the characters), but this story of two previously-burned people, learning to trust, is good. The steamy scenes didn't register as particularly hot, but weren't bad, and did drive the connection between the people in the relationship, forward.

Erected, written by Desiree Holt and published under Totally Entwined, Totally Bound Publishing brand is the first book in D. Holt’s Erector Set series. This would be my first book by this author, so I can’t really tell you much about her writing style. Except I found Erected grossly entertaining.

The first meeting between this couple was hilarious when Vanessa Bowen though someone stole her car, just to find out it had been towed. In comes Josh McMann a gentleman who offered to assist Vanessa in claiming her car. One thing leads to another and Erected becomes erotic.

Though mild compared to some of the spicier stories out. D. Holt still shows you she got what it takes to compete with authors such as Maya Banks, Lauren Dane, Lori Leigh and Shayla Black.
Erected very quick and sexy read. With believable characters. Because after several chapters I was starting to dislike Vanessa and her wishy-washy was.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this great novel. I found it quite intriguing and the fact it keeps you engaged with the contents is excellent. Definitely a must read and I would highly recommend it. I would like to thank the author and publisher for affording me the opportunity to read this novel as it was a pleasing read. You should be proud.

Ness runs into Josh all in a panic thinking her new car has been stolen. Josh sees she is clearly having a bad day so he offers his help. He feels a certain pull towards her that he can't quite explain.

Unfortunately for Ness, her bout of bad luck continues. Everything that could go wrong-does, but Josh seems to be there to help pick up the pieces every time!

I loved how this relationship developed! It was quick and oh so hot!! They definitely ignited the sheets with their chemistry! A fun opposites attract book!

Desiree Holt does a great job with a lot of story and spiciness packed into a fast read! The Erector series is bound to be a good one! This is great start!!

My first Desiree Holt story and I am delighted that I have a new author to explore. Romance, mystery, emotion and action throughout the narrative. Just when I thought one thing would happen, something else did. Love the interaction between the main characters.

She did need to give that humble pie! It was a good book but she was a little annoying with her insecurities.

There is a lot of story in between the good bits, but those good bits are so darn good they're worth it.
Solidly written. A story that's been seen before, yes, but the authors personality comes through (no pun intended) and makes a difference.
A must read.

Hot romance. Nice sexy, humorous, feel good strong story, with a happy ever after.

I enjoyed this. It may be the fact that I picked it up on a day when I could have used a “white knight” to rescue me. Guys just don’t offer to give you a hand such as she receives when her car is missing - but a girl can dream...right?
