As soon as I seen the cover for The Windmill Café I had to read it! I haven't read anything by this author before so I was excited. I was very impressed and I really enjoyed the storyline with the big mystery to it and finding out who done it! There was a big bunch of characters and it was really easy to get to know them all and know who was who.
The Café itself sounded absolutely gorgeous - a place I would love to visit!
This is book 1 in the series so I can't wait to read the next one and find out whats next!

A different type of book for me because it's by an author I do t recognise or one I have read before so this is all new to me and what more do we need than a cafe book to cheer us up??
It's set in the summer months in idyllic Norfolk and everyone is melting away in the heat. ROSIE has just left her current life as a florist from the capital, London and opens up a cafe....
On opening night everyone turns out and famous singer and her boyfriend open it up. It's in the full swim g of things until a big misery occurs. Suki the singer is found dead..... but Rosie has OCD with manliness that.no smidgen of dirt would have been around whilst cooking in the cafe...
There's a mystery to this along with the usual genre of my reading. Although it's a bit different it's good and readers who enjoy Emma Davies will like this book.

The Windmill Cafe: Summer Breeze by Poppy Blake is a delightful contemporary light hearted fun super sleuthing read. It is just perfect for a cold winter's day to remind the reader that warm summer days are ahead.
The book is a mixture of Midsomer Murders meets Agatha Christie meets Death In Paradise. Whilst a real crime has been committed, the amateur sleuthing has a casual, fun element to it. Want to know what I mean? Have a read of the book.
Summer days, good friends, delicious home baking - what more could the reader want? With comprehensive descriptions such as "The aroma of freshly mown grass and crushed lavender", all the reader's senses really come alive.
The characters are unique, well drawn and likable with their fears and insecurities', the reader really warms to them.
This Windmill Cafe series really promises to be a fun read. I am looking forward to the autumn and winter novels.
For a light hearted read to warm you on a dark winters evening, look no further than The Windmill Cafe: Summer Breeze. It's a wonderful read.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
