What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.

This was an interesting read and a quick but decent story. I found myself enjoying it and interested in other books she wrote in this world.

3.5 stars

When Carlos' pack council kidnaps Sedona while in her mating heat, and locks him up with her, there can only be one outcome. He is furious with them. He tried to stay away, and give her time, but the pull is too much. The mating takes place.

Dismayed that Sedona had no free will in the mating, he decides to let her go. They do decide to make a go of it for the good of the pack. Carlos knew his pack was in trouble before this and hopefully Sedona will help stabilize it. He just doesn't like what the council is pulling.

I like the book and got why Carlos didn't want to make Sedona stay. There were a lot of pack politics and I liked understanding why they did certain things. The characters were flawed, but likeable, and their sexy scenes were steamy!

My captive. My mate. My prize. I didn’t order the capture of the beautiful American she-wolf. I didn’t buy her from the traffickers. I didn’t even plan to claim her. But no male shifter could have withstood the test of a full moon and a locked room with Sedona, naked and shackled to the bed. I lost control, not only claiming her, but also marking her, and leaving her pregnant with my wolfpup. I won’t keep her prisoner, as much as I’d like to. I allow her to escape to the safety of her brother’s pack. But once marked, no she-wolf is ever really free. I will follow her to the ends of the Earth, if I must. Sedona belongs to me.
The book was really good. I loved both main characters as they went through the story. Both characters were well written. I really enjoyed the plot. I highly recommend.

I unfortunately had to DNF this book as it wasn’t to my reading taste. I felt uncomfortable with the main female lead being kidnapped and offered up as a piece of meat. The author did try to make it less non-consensual by adding in the male lead characters’ point of and how, he too was held against his will. But overall it was just not a nice way to start a book so I put it down.

This was an okay read for me. Typical shifter story. Sedona was kidnapped, dumped into a cell in his dungeon, with Carlos who had no idea that his pack had done such a thing until it was too late. They ended up mating and he ended up letting her go, to live her her life, while she is pregnant with his child. They get back together after Sedona does a TSTL moment, and then have their HEA. 3 stars...

I had to dnf at 34%. I find that a lot of these characters seemed similar especially in the "alpha males." Also a lot of the intimate scenes are similar with the other book that I've read in the series. I'm not against spanking, but theres just a lot of it in this series which became redundant. I just wasn't really feeling this story to continue. A lot of the plot line from what I read seems mediocre and also rushed.

I really enjoyed this book. Sedona and Carlos are put into a situation that changes their lives forever. Sedona, the she-wolf, is an independent woman who wants Carlo's to love her for her and not because of the pull. Carlos has to show her he really loves her. I recommend not only reading this book, but the rest of the series. Thank you NetGalley & the publisher for sending me a copy to review!

“My eyes crack open, gritty and sore. I’d rub them if I weren’t in wolf form. Where am I? I rise and knock against metal bars. Oh fates. I’m in a cage—a fucking cage.”
That early sentence says a lot, though from the title you probably didn’t need the wolf mention. A female werewolf on vacation in Mexico gets imprisoned by the local pack to breed with their young alpha; seems inbreeding’s a thing. But because this is a romance. . . well, you can figure it out.
There are a lot of viewpoints used, especially at the start. I get the need to introduce all the main characters, but it was a little confusing. But more than anything, I really wish this book had been more FUN. Everyone’s miserable, even when the story shifts to Paris.
I’m more used to Ms. Rose’s sci-fi, which I like a lot more than this werewolf stuff. The main male character started out as a douche but redeemed himself, so that’s a good point. I liked her from the start. There’s some interesting cultural stuff amid different locales, but despite the good writing, I didn’t enjoy this nearly as much.as I feel I should have.

I didn’t realize that this was the third book in a series, but once I started it was pretty easy to read and get into the story! The story was a little fast-paced at times but not too much to throw you off. I liked that Carlos went after her even though it seemed like an impossible mission and their relationship seemed real and genuine.

All in all, I enjoyed it and it was a nice quick read.

College student Sedona is kidnapped while on vacation. A vacation she did not get permission to go on. As an Alpha’s daughter and a shewolf she is a hot commodity.

Carlos Montelobo is the Alpha of his pack but he’s not exactly in charge. Carlos’s pack has an independent council. This council takes it upon themselves to lock him in a room with Sedona…while she is in heat.

The council is determined to bring new blood into their pack. Carlos’s pack suffers from dwindling numbers due to inbreeding. The council have their plan and it doesn’t necessarily include Carlos’ opinion.

Carlos and Sedona are thrust into an intangible situation. They try to fight their intense attraction but it’s futile because their wolves have decided what they want. Is it possible for Carlos and Sedona to have any kind of relationship under these circumstances? Will they have the opportunity to find out or will the council’s plan interfere?

Alpha’s Prize is a hot paranormal erotic novel. Things get heated quickly as you can imagine. While the sex is sizzling, I enjoyed Carlos and Sedona’s relationship outside of the sex. The pack politics were interesting but became derivative at times. I found myself getting tired of hearing what the council was thinking. The secondary characters were quite fascinating. I wish I had read the earlier books in the series first.

Alpha’s Prize is a scintillating read. If you love Alpha’s this is the book for you!

Alpha’s prize starts off with Sedona being kidnapped by some unknown wolves then locked into a cell with a hot but stranger Carlos during the full moon. Essentially the people that kidnapped her want to have pure bloodlines even though Carlos himself is against this. I liked that Carlos in the book made clear to Sedona that he in know way supported what happened even though the people who kidnapped her were from his pack. I also like that after everything has happened he lets her choose what she wants. I found Carlo’s character a bit annoying I that he was supposedly alpha yet he really let everyone walk all over him in this book. There were some steamy scenes and overall it was a good HEA ending. I’m interested to see what happens next and will probably read the next installment.

In exchange for my honest review, I received an ARC edition from NetGalley

A paranormal scorcher! Carlos is one sexy dominant wolf who commands the pages as well as his pack. He meets Sedona under the most dire of circumstances, as they are imprisoned together. This is highly erotic and perfectly fits this setting. Given everything that's going on, Carlos and Sedona remain strong. There is much at stake here. I loved every minute, and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I've never had the privilege of reading these authors before, but I'm definitely going to read the others.

This was a strong shifter book. Sedona was on vacation and is kidnapped to be given to an Alpha wolf whose council wants her to mate. The Alpha is furious that he is also locked up and tries his hardest to resist her even though he thinks she is his mate. She is laid out naked attached to a bed and he wants her. He manages to get her loose and takes her place in manacles to protect her. There is wild attraction between them and she decides she wants him. She's a shifter wolf also, but wants out of her overprotective family. Lots of drama in this book, misunderstandings, and bad guys. Carlos and Sedona separate but miss each other horribly. They slowly work their way back together. Worth the read. I'll look for the other books in the series. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review

This book was a little dark, a lot alpha, and pretty smutty. As my first intro to the Bad Boy Alphas series, I think it gave me a good flavor of what to expect. I read it as a standalone, but I’m sure there is a lot of backstory given in other books.

Sedona is the daughter of an alpha shifter, away on holiday, when she is kidnapped, stripped, and sold to another wolf clan. She’s chained in a dungeon, naked, and introduced to the current alpha of the pack. Said alpha is just returning from a long hiatus when he’s led to a cell and locked in with a female captive. Some biological imperatives take over throughout the night and these two end up having consensual sex and he ends up marking her.

Sedona is obviously not in the best of places. She’d been kidnapped, found herself attracted to someone who might be in league with the kidnappers, and she is now conflicted about some mating that may or may not have been ok with her at the time. Throw in a very backwards pack structure, her family showing up to rescue her, and a possible pregnancy and you’ve got oodles of drama enough to set even the most calm wolf running. Don’t worry, though, because her alpha mate is willing to chase her to the ends of the earth. If you’re looking for a very alpha heavy, dirty read, this is definitely worth checking out.

To be noted:

I was given a copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for a review. This book was free, and my review is not biased towards that fact in any way. These are my opinions only, (as everyone is entitled to them) and should only be taken as an idea for whether or not you would like to read the book yourself. In the end, no matter what review I give, props to the author for writing what they love, and actually publishing a book.

Well...this book was a long shot to say the least.

I stepped out of my comfort zone majorly, and wasn't disappointed too much!

For starters, I think this is a little strong to be considered a "beginners" book for people interested in reading romance books that contains BDSM...but not too strong. This is just just my opinion. Take it as you will.

Review-(WARNING: This review contains some spoilers or quotes from the book)

Honestly I give this book four stars. The length of the book is one that I could have finished in a day, but when one has work full time, a two-year old, and demanding college professors you read when you can.. but I digress. I will give my cons followed with the pros of this little gem.

Cons:

I really, really, wish the plot line had been given more edge. It had some great potential. The fight between Carlos and the Council could have been choreographed a little better. It seemed thrown together to me, and hastened in order to kill off the others. There were a few times I was OVERLY frustrated with the way Carlos and Sedona seemed to think, but I guess that may get better with character development over time. Saying that, Sedona is a spoiled little alpha wolf who needs her arse kicked a few times. Apparently she likes that though, as she is clearly not the Dom in this sexual relationship. There were a few things that increased my dislike for her, like taking off after your family is trying to help you now that you're pregnant, and this little comment; "If I need something, I can buy it. That's if my dad doesn't shut down my credit card to force me home." Okay...we get it, your pack has money, no need to act like a brat about it. Not everyone gets to take off across the world with only a test message letting one family member know you need some "time to process."
I'm no grammar natzi by any means, as I myself have a long way to go, and a lot to learn; but this book definitely has a lot of grammar issues. However, I feel it's important to note that since this was not actually a published book when I requested the copy to read, that is wholly understandable.

Pros:
I found myself really interested in how this book was going to end. It was fast paced to start, but then started slowing down. Carlos and Sedona's time together away from their packs was sweet and sexy. They finally started getting to know each other and however brief, it was a nice change. This book introduced me to a little bit more intense sexual side, and I had to jump right into it head first to catch up. It was a great ride and I'm sure this I will explore this genre more now.

I like that Carlos cares so much for his mother. It speaks volumes of his true character, no matter what goes on in the bedroom. Even though he seems rough around the edges to start, Carlos clearly cares for Sedona, and she for him in their own ways. Amidst the steamy sex scenes and spankings, there is a little love blooming there. Despite the circumstances they were thrust into, it was made into something to enjoy reading. I feel I would like to know what happens next, so I will request the second book to this particular story when it comes around. Hopefully Rose will continue with a stronger, more descriptive plotline in the next story, as I know Ill be looking forward to what happens with Carlos's pack.
