What an absolutely fantastic book

Historical fiction with a bit of romance chucked in

I was hooked from the first couple of pages

This is this author’s debut novel and she is definitely one to look out for in the future

The second world war told via three POVs from a perspective I hadn’t considered before. I love intertwined character journeys and I love rich historical detail so this was a perfect read for me. It also examined important themes such as social mobility and the difference in mindset before and after the war. This one really stayed with me a long time after I’d finished. Highly recommend.
