In this sci-fi novel, we follow Lex who joins the elite force, Omni Corpse after losing his family in an alien invasion. Lex and his fellow fighters are given the technology to live indefinitely. But after a while, Lex starts to question his choice to join Omni Corpse.

I read just over half of this book. The parts that I did read, were exciting and I really loved the concept. It felt like a trope-y book at first but I did end up enjoying it. One day I stopped reading and I could never bring myself to carry on with the book. I really liked Lex and some of the side characters were interesting and I always enjoyed when they entered a scene.

It was exciting and good (for the first half at least) and although I didn't finish it, I do think this is probably not in my preferred genre. At the time I requested this I thought I would venture out of my comfort zone and read some sci-fi alien books.

This is definitely a book for lovers of the dystopian alien type books.
My rating for the first half of this book is 3.5 / 5 stars.

This is a good story with great characters.
Unfortunately it is spoilt by a really weak ending which just made me wonder why I had spent my time with the rest of the book.
Really disappointing due to the ending.

Century Run follows Lex, who is orphaned after earth is over run by an alien invasion. Taken in and raised by the soldier who saved him, Lex eventually joins Omni Corps, in the fight to keep the survivors safe, who have pushed out into the universe. The catch being that between missions, he goes into a stasis existence. After 400 years, he begins to question his role and the missions his team are given. This is a good book, but the end does seem rushed.
