Roxie and Kian were characters that I had to get used to, sadly it took me most of the book to connect but by then I lost interest and only kept reading for the storyline way back to who you really are and finding your soul mate. I would recommend this book but only if you have time to spare.

Kian Forbes, a surgeon, a billionaire thought Roxie was his better half until she vanished couple years back. He would have done everything to keep her but she left without words. Now, in emergency room, Roxie's sister, his one night stand comes in with severe injuries, almost at death bed and revealing her daughter is also his daughter. Now, he would do everything to take care of his daughter.
Roxie moved away from Kian thinking she could start over in new town except she is back. Now she is losing her only sister and she has to take care of her niece on behalf of her sister. She loved her sister and she has no problem taking care of her niece until she finds out father of her niece was her ex-boyfriend Kian.
Kian and Roxie will need to put aside their feelings and raise a child together. They have enough history but will it become an issue for both.
I did enjoy second chance except I am not a big fan of Kian and Roxie's sister having a kid. Roxie's sister knew who Kian was and she was okay with spending one night and having his baby didn't sit well. Other than that issue, their second chance was pretty solid.
Thanks to net galley and Montlake romance for ARC.

I love books with billionaires in them. KIAN, the first book in the UNDERCOVER BILLIONAIRE SERIES, didn’t disappoint. I was sucked right into the action from the first page to the last and ended up reading the book in less than twenty-four hours!
Roxie and Kian have a history, and it’s getting in the way of the present, especially since they haven’t seen each other in four years. Roxie ran away from the love of her life, and now that she’s back due to circumstances beyond her control, neither she nor Kian are happy about it. They both have only loved each other, but while she lived her life after running away, she didn’t date and didn’t form any close relationships or friendships.
Kian became a lady’s man, but no one touched him like Roxie. As the chemistry is still there and continues to build, neither one of them knows what to do about their feelings. Everyone around them sees how they feel about the other, but Kian and Roxie are just having “moments” and feel they can disassociate whenever they want. But since a precious someone is holding them together, that’s not likely to happen.
I loved learning the history of Kian and Roxie while also getting to know their families. Kian is one of the good guys even though he’s rich. His family is always there for one another and puts their wealth to good use. The relationships and family connections seemed real and had me wanting to learn more about Kian’s family. Roxie came from the poor side of the tracks and had an alcoholic father and a sister from whom she was estranged.
The characters had a depth to them, and we learned about them a little at a time. We also get to know about some of the community members and things they are involved in. There were both happy and sad moments mixed in with an emotional and loving story. There is nice closure with a happily ever after, but there are a lot more stories to tell since Kian has three brothers and a sister, and their father and grandfathers seem to be into matchmaking. I can’t wait to read more!
Melody Anne is a new-to-me author, only having read the first book in her BILLIONAIRE BACHELORS SERIES. I need to rectify that and have added a few of her books to my always growing TBR pile!

This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine. Kian and Roxie were both well-written characters. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.

I am new to Melody Ann. Kian is my first book by her but definitely not my last. I found myself sneaking time to read a few more pages, another chapter, and sometimes just a paragraph or two. The characters were realistic and mostly likeable. There were times that I wanted to shake both Kian an d Roxie to get them to open their eyes and see what they were missing out of.
Kian knew what love was and when that love walked away he changed his ways becoming player but he never forgot what love looked like. Then love walked back into his life in the form of Roxie. Immediately life would change for him. There was no doubt that when Roxie returned home things would be shaken up, stirred, and changed in Kian’s world.
The storyline was one I wasn’t sure I could accept at first. Kian and Roxie were sweethearts, true loves, and soul mates. She broke his heart and he slept with her sister. Then Roxie returned to town and he wants her back. Is that wrong? Is that disgusting? I wasn’t sure. Melody Ann was able to take a difficult situation and turn into something that didn’t feel wrong, that just felt like love finding itself again. It was sweet, it was hot, and it was perfect.
Pick up your copy. Meet Kian and Roxie. Fall in love with sweet, innocent, lovely Lily.
Thank you Montlake for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored this book. Kian and Roxy had a rocky start, but they were able to work together for Lilly's sake. Their road to love wasn't easy, especially with them fighting it, but they eventually became what they were meant to. Melody Ann has a way of writing that sucks a reader in and this story is a fantastic example of that writing. I loved this book and this author continues to be a must read for me.

I try to like this book, but Roxie put me off, she was so immature, or by polar I don't know which one. I like the other characters. Thanks to Netgalley for this free copy.

I did not finish this book. While I appreciate the offer to have the novel., I have stopped reading any romance novels that stray more into erotica.

This is part of the "Undercover Billionaire" series, and that tells you pretty much everything you need to know - it is a classic billionaire romance, and although you don't need to think too much about the plot, it's a nice light read to get lost in for a day.

I have chosen not to read and review this tile. While the blurb drew me to the story, I was not engaged with the characters or the way the story was written.
I appreciate the opportunity to review this early title and am looking forward to the next title through your company.
Thanks,
Laura

This was a great second chance at love book. Kian and Roxie were great together. A tragedy brings them back together, and its a struggle for them to work everything out. Lots of angst in this story. A great start to a series. Can't wait to read the rest of them!

This is a sweet Second Chance romance, but ultimately I never really felt a connection to the main characters. I wanted to love Kian and I did love that he wanted to be a Dad so much, but his overbearing nature put me off instead of being sexy. The story was fine, I just didn't connect with the characters.

I really wanted to like this book. I have enjoyed Melodys other books and this one just fell below the expectations. You get hooked in the first chapter then it falls. Rosie was just annoying and immature. Left for four years and left everyone and anyone behind. Kian was a better character even though he was a man whore and constantly drunk for a surgeon. Learning you have a daughter with the love of your life sister was a lot. The secondary characters were great. I hope the second book gets better and holds my attention like many of Melodys books do!

I really wanted to like this book. I have read this author before, so I was looking forward to it. The problem I had is that it just didn’t work for me. I did finish the book and there are moments that the two main characters Kian who is a surgeon, and Roxie who is a former girlfriend from four years ago. Are now put together again because after she left Kian her sister had a one night stand with Kian and became pregnant. Now four years later as she is dying in the hospital that Kian works in he is finding this out, and later Roxie finds out that Kian the man she walked away from is her niece’s father. Now there are problems but for me I cannot see a HEA. Well I am a guy so there you have it. Besides at times Kian is an arrogant jerk to put it mildly. They do have bedroom scenes which are hot and steamy, but overall I just felt off with the story. the characters surrounding everyone were good though.

Absolutely loved this book, I couldn't put it down, everyone needs to read this book. Kian is HOT. I love Melody books and this did not disappoint.

I really enjoy Melody Anne's books but this one started off good and then it got boring. Roxie was doubting herself just a little too much and i just couldn't take to her at all..
She was depressing immature and sometimes just flat out dumb, her life was depressing and I was disappointed with her.

This is my first novel by Melody Anne, and unfortunately, “Kian” was not my cup of tea. I found Roxie and her baggage to be extremely annoying. She didn't seem to have a plausible reason for leaving just like her sister didn't seem to have plausible reason to keep her child secret from her rich doctor baby daddy.

A well-written story that I enjoyed reading looking forward to reading the next book. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

Good first book in this new series. Kian and Roxie must come to terms with their love and past to raise a precious child .
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Awesome contemporary romance. Kian is an excellent Emergency Room doctor and surgeon. He does his best to save anyone possible. Suddenly, a familiar looking woman and her child are brought in with life threatening injuries and his world is knocked off its axis. Roxie received a call from the ER an hour or so away but they won't give her anymore information except that her sister and niece were brought in. Being a nurse herself, Roxie knows the news isn't going to be good but what she and Kian are about to deal with changes both their lives. Roxie and Kian were in love years ago, but Roxie left suddenly sending both their lives on different paths. Now they're reunited but nothing good is in store. The author writes a story that brings you to tears yet she shows how and what made the characters into who they are now. I haven't read a book by this author that didn't deserve high praise and she did it again in "Kian". I look forward to reading future books by her especially in this series. I received a complementary copy via Net Galley and chose to write a review.
