Have you ever not remembered how much you loved a character until you held the next instalment in your hands? It's like meeting up with an old friend and all the memories rush at you until you feel quite dizzy? No, just me then. Dramatic as it might sound i loved having the company of Louisa Clarke, however brief. She's in New York ready to conquer a new quest and it sounds fantastic, right up her street, she is to become the personal assistant to the wife of an uber rich businessman.
She is ready to reinvent herself yet again and where better than the big apple.
This will be the 3rd in the brilliant Louisa Clarke series and if it is a shadow of the success of the previous two then it will be a fantastic read.

This book has hope, sadness, and longing all mixed in. There's this almost whimsical quality in the writing too.
This book was imaginative and very well written. I did love how it flowed together and made me want to keep on reading. ! I loved reading it and I loved the characters connections with each other. A definite winner for me.

In Me Before You, Louisa Clark became a companion and carer for Will who was paraplegic and he ended up changing her world. In After You, Lou recovers from the most passionate and intense love of her life and learning to live without him by her side, and finding ways to love again. Now in Still Me, Louisa is on a new adventure to New York but has to learn how to handle a long-distance relationship, and discover what she really wants to do with her life.

I adored Me Before You and I really enjoyed After You. But I feel we get the proper old Louisa we all fell in love with in Still Me. In After You, we grieved with her and had to learn what life was like after Will. It was a learning process, and we like Louisa had to learn how to handle her in a new relationship with Sam (who I am a big fan of).

Louisa really comes into her own in Still Me. I feel like she grew so much. She’s alone but content in her own company, she’s going out exploring and learning what she wants to do in her future and all the things she’s capable of (without Will having to tell her all the time). She’s really taking her lessons she learned from him and applying them to her life everyday.

I thought her relationship with Josh was an interesting turn. While he wasn’t my favourite, because obviously Sam is endgame, I do feel like it was something Louisa needed. It was probably one of the closest things she could have that would be like a relationship with Will - the Will she should have had. I think it was something she needed to experience because the truth is if Will and Louisa hadn’t met the way they had they may not have ever been together or fallen in love. He may have been a lot more like Joshua, who knows.

I loved Louisa’s relationship with Mrs De Witt. It was so heartwarming and I’m glad she ended up getting ownership of Dean Martin in the end.

I laughed so many times during this book at Louisa just being Louisa and was smiling more or less the entire time I was reading it. This book just feels so lovely and comfortable and Louisa is one of those characters that feels like home.

Also, I LOVE that Treena came out, and how the family reacted. It was so lovely and honestly, it felt really right for the character.

This book definitely won’t make anyone thinking of getting into a long-distance relationship hopeful. Louisa and Sam are only apart three months when everything falls apart but a lot of talk that happens at the end, the way they rushed into things and still had a lot to learn about one another made sense. I loved the end, and honestly I still want more from Louisa. I can’t get enough.

It was good to read the first chapter of the new book. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this series and Jojo Moyes. I’m looking forward to reading the full thing when it’s released soon.

'Still Me' is the perfect welcome back to the world of zany but extremely loveable Louisa Clark. I first fell in love with the character of Lou in the deeply moving 'Me Before You' and have been an avid follower since.

In this the 3rd in the series, Louisa has landed a job in New York and her arrival at the airport and journey through immigration is amusing and well written; Louisa at her best, telling a bemused immigration officer her life story and talking far too much. Not only is it great writing that flows well, its also a very clever introduction to the background for readers who might not have read the previous novels.

Employed by the Gopnik's as a companion/PA to the insecure Mrs Gopnik has its challenges. The second Mrs Gopnik is out of her depth amongst the Matrons of New York Society and Lou has to be confidante, friend and employee all rolled into one. Settling into her new role, Lou meets and make friends with a whole host of new characters (including a dog called Dean Martin), all of them well written and fitting into the storyline effortlessly.

Long distance relationships aren't easy; snatched weekends together don't go quite as planned, misunderstandings arise from jealousy and uncertainty and Lou finds herself struggling to cope with it all.

This book has its hilarious moments but it also has deeply moving ones that really touched me. I loved it!

A great read and totally recommended for readers of the previous books in the series. If you haven't read the previous novels there is sufficient background given that you could read this as a standalone but you'd be missing out on a lot so I'd definitely recommend reading the previous ones first.

*Review updated - original was the first chapter only

I have to admit I was a little dubious when I saw a third book in the series - do we really need one?

However the first chapter sampler was a good solid start which already had me smiling (even chuckling a little) and more importantly interested in reading the rest. I look forward to reading the book.

This book was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed it, didn't want it to end. Loved the characters and descriptions of the New York scene. Author has clearly experienced America
first hand.
Doing this the wrong way round but will now read the prequels
Highly recommended

I loved this first chapter and I cannot wait to read the rest of the book, I'm so excited for it to be released! It was wonderful getting to be back in Louisa's crazy world and brain again, even if just for a few pages. She's mad and brilliant and I cannot wait to follow her next story through New York and find out what she had coming. The story has been set up brilliantly and I just want to read the rest!

Looking forward to reading more of this. I enjoyed the first two books, and this one is off to a promising start (though I'm missing Sam more that Lou is!)

Whilst this was an easy to read sample I found it difficult to relate to as I have not read the preceding 2 books. I'm sure that if I had been familiar with the characters and their preceding stories I would have been hooked into this third novel. I enjoyed the writing style

I loved Me Before You and I've got After You ready to read and this just made me want to dive straight into After You, then Still Me when it's released! I loved seeing Lou and Will's develop in the first book and I know for a lot of people that's where the story should've ended. I myself wondered how Lou's solo story would be as captivating as the first book, but this peek into the third book has just reminded me how much I adore Lou's story. I love Lou and can't wait to follow her journey.

Loved this sample chapter. It was great to meet Lou again, but in a much more upbeat mood compared to After You. This sample had me laughing out and smiling, making it a great opening chapter.

I am so so excited to read the entire book! Honestly, this felt like a tease and I am looking forward to reading more about the peculiarities of Louisa Clark. And I know many people point out that it is the success of the movie (which I also loved) that is prompting the author to write more books about Lou, I am actually quite thankful that she is. I love Lou's voice and the way she navigates mundane situations with just a little bit of logic and a bucket of charm. I think she's a refreshing character in a situation that I hadn't considered previously to reading the first book.
