This isn’t strictly limited to publishing a text book, most of it is applicable to any self publishing.
It starts right from the basics. I really like the screen shots and technical sections on how to go about physically publishing. It assumes absolutely no prior knowledge so you may be able skip the intro to Facebook or Twitter sections, but there is lots of useful info.
