As always, a fun read especially for early readers or those learning to read aloud. I find the Geronimo Stilton books are engaging, entertaining and instructive. My kiddo is well past the age of reading these, and yet he will still clamour for the latest in the collection. There are certain ones he loves, and others he picks up and reads as independent stories. I will definitely be buying this one for him.

Things are about to get cheesy!

When his cousin calls in the middle of the night from Transratania, Geronimo is certain that Trap is in danger and he’s Goats to go save him. With no time to waste, Geronimo, his sister Thea and his nine year old nephew Benjamin travel to Transratania the next day.

The locals seem to be overly fond of garlic and aren’t keen on talking about Ratoff Castle, home of Count Vlad von Ratoff. It appears there’s something a bit Off Kilter about the rodents that live at the Castle.

Things aren’t what they seem and this story becomes a Blenda mystery, humour and the possibility of romance.

There’s a ball, which everyone seems to enjoy. Well, with the possible exception of the Count, who’s Moody Blue for much of the story.

After a food disaster, an Impromptu decision means that pizza saves the day, but it’s definitely not as cheesy as I would have liked.

With his aversion to blood, Geronimo isn’t impressed with the Aboundance of references to blood in this book.

While this was a Gouda book, it wasn’t my favourite of the Geronimo Stilton books I’ve read so far. I probably would have thought this series was the best thing since sliced cheese if I’d read it as a kid.

I love that Geronimo is reading a collection of ghost stories called The Haunted Cheese Shop and Other Tales to Make You Squeak!

I need the Count’s clock.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Sweet Cherry Publishing for the opportunity to read this book. I’m rounding up from 3.5 stars.

Geronimo receives a distress call from his cousin, Trap, who says that he is trapped in the Castle at Transratania. Geronimo, his sister Thea and nephew Benjamin head to Transratania, only to find Trap perfectly well and in love with Countess Snobella, the niece of the Count.
When Trap goes missing, the three decide to take up jobs in the Castle as a butler, a personal maid to Snobella and a footman respectively in order to find and rescue Trap. Very soon they realise that the royals are averse to garlic.
They are now in a very sticky situation, but is there any hope for escape?

The illustrations are cute and whimsical and guaranteed to hook little ones into reading.
The names of the characters are mousified as per the theme of the book. For instance, here we have Ray, Count von Ratoff etc. Also, because mice are the dominant species of animals here, the vocabulary is attuned to their habits. So Geronimo has mousebumps, not goosebumps.

The scare quotient has been suitably lowered, given that this is a childish audience.

'Fangs and Feasts in Transratania' by Geronimo Stilton is a chapter book in a series I'd only ever read in graphic novel format previously.

This time around, Geronimo Stilton gets a mysterious phone call from his cousin Trap and set off for Ratoff. What he finds is a creepy castle full of cobwebs and spooky secrets. He finds his cousin Trap cooking dinner for the mysterious Count and his guests.

This was a fun, spooky read with funny, spooky content. The illustrations were fun as well.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Sweet Cherry Press and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

Another fun and quality story from Geronimo Stilton. Every story from him is awesome and this is no different. It is full of adventure and wonderful characters. I look forward to the next! What will be the next adventure?

A reasonable read this, and part of a large ten-book collection, which promises good value (although I'd suggest a trial read of one or two first). This adventure, where three mice have to smuggle themselves into a creepy castle to rescue a fourth, acts as a 'my first vampire story' in the end. I couldn't work out why half the puns were rat- and half mice-related, and can only assume both species get along fine in this world. Which is proof if you needed it that I was more distracted by the franchise rules than the story, and I think you may need an introduction to the world that is better than this book. Average - two and a half stars.

I've read a few from this series and I admit it, I enjoy them. They are cute and funny and fun. As a former librarian, I know that kids love them too, and no wonder! This one I liked more than others I've read, probably because I've always liked the spooky stuff, especially vampires. If I had one complaint with the books it'd be that they're geared towards kids who are learning to read and they might not always understand that the puns are actually puns and not the way the words are actually spelled. I can't fault them though because they are cute puns. If you or your child is a fan of the series, or just looking fir a new easy reader to enjoy, I would definitely recommend the series and this book in particular.

I would like to thank the publisher, author, and Netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Okay, I love these Geronimo Stilton books! I first stumbled upon them a few months ago when looking for a book gift for my niece.

I love the illustrations in all of the Geronimo books. I love how they say things like "on my rodent's honor" and TransRatania! (It reminds me of the smurfs and their language.😄 )
I adored this book! I can't wait to pick up a copy for my niece.
