With their only being two chapters to read I couldn't really get a feel for the characters or the novel sure if will be interesting if you read the full book sounds like a nice setting for a novel but not sure where or what it's leading to jury's out on this one

These first two chapters have me hooked already. I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the book. I am looking forward to learning more about all the characters and getting to know them. Jenny Colgan always writes books that you can curl up and get lost in. It is brilliant, beautiful escapism for a few hours. This book feels like it will be able to do the same.

A sequel to the wonderful "The Summer Seaside Kitchen", The Endless Beach transports you to the beautiful Scottish Isle of Mure with its cast of colourful characters and tales of love and heartache.
It takes you on a truly emotional journey (i needed a bit of a lie down when it ended and ate lots of fresh bread and home made cakes whilst reading it..) I cannot wait for the next instalment and the testament to a good book is when the characters are with you even after the book has closed and these people, well they are unforgettable!

Loved reading the 1st two chapters of this book and look forward to being able to read the rest. A lovely story so far.

I only read the first couple of chapters of this book via net galley, but it seemed like it would be a good read!

This was a sweet undemanding read, perfect for a wet day or for a beach on holiday - but it could have been more. I enjoyed the interplay between the characters and I loved the scene setting to the point where I was wondering about weekends away. But. I felt there was a more serious book inside this one and that the author didn't have the courage to go for it.. The immigrant family story was very engaging and I felt the author could have done far more with it but chose not to.. Why was there so little about the missing mother of the family?

This is an excerpt from the beginning of Jenny Colgan's latest book. Set in remote Scotland and although only a few chapters long, this sample was enough to whet my appetite to want to read the rest of the book. It's been a while since I have read one of Colgan's books and that is about to change.

This sample of 2 chapters has certainly whetted my appetite to find out more.
It’s the sort of book that draws you in from the first page and you just know that it’s going to be good
Having read most of Jenny’s books before I was looking forward to this little treat and I wasn’t disappointed!
The island of Mure sounds wonderful it makes you want to visit this little fictional place and look around and meet the locals
As soon as I had finished the two chapters I ordered the full copy for my kindle which I am now off to read

I can't believe have only got two chapters I need more I need to know what happens to everyone and the giant whale like creature
This book has you hooked from the first sentence. It has a softness about it and when reading it it just has a natural flow
Please can we have rest of book

Jenny Colgan does a wonderful job of describing the fictional island of Mure and it's varied inhabitants with their quirky personalities. The writing flows beautifully and conjures up a perfect visual of her characters' surroundings, from the Seaside Kitchen, the cottages and the town, to standing on the beach watching a whale rise from the sea. Delightful. A promising start.

So looking forward to reading the full book. Already left on a knife edge.
Already meeting Jenny's usual high writing standard.

An tantalising taster of a book. Having lived for many years in the Highlands it took me right back - cant wait to finish reading the book!

A very easy reading book. Having only read the first two chapters I am not sure what the story is. I am sure that will become clearer as I read more of the book

Loved the sample chapter.... I'm really looking forward to Lorna and Saif's story... Saif is honestly my favourite character... full of heart-breaking truth.... looing forward!
Thanks Netgalley for my ARC!

Really enjoyed The Summer Seaside Kitchen and was thrilled to see this Sampler! It didn't disappoint and has reacquainted me with Flora and the other characters on the Scottish island. Jenny Colgans writing draws you in and this looks set to be a warm and cosy read. Looking forward to reading the rest of the book.

Reading this made me realise how behind I've got with some of the authors that I like - because I hadn't read the book that this is the sequel to! This seems like a really nice setting and set up to the book (I read a sampler of the first few chapters) which prompted me to go and buy Little Summer Kitchen so that I can catch up on the Jenny-verse.

A tantalising peep at what is to come. I have read a few Jenny Colgan books, some which I get on with better than others but this taster certainly whets my appetite for what is to come. I realise that it is part of a series with the same characters, whom I'm not familiar with, so whilst waiting for this book to be published, I may well catch up with these before publication. It is well written with atmospheric descriptions to enable the reader to visualise the setting even if they are not familiar with the surroundings. I feel I already like the characters we have met so far and look forward to reading the rest of their story as I think I will enjoy the whole book.

I love Jenny Colgan's books. They transport you somewhere remote and make you wish you had the confidence to uproot and start again somewhere fresh. This time we're back in Mure with Flora as she establishes her cafe and resettles back into her life on the island she grew up on. However, things are not going to be plain sailing - will the cafe be a success, will Joel be able to commit to her and what does the sighting of a whale so close to shore foretell? I, for one, cannot wait to find out

I very much enjoyed this taster, and will read the book, for sure. Flora was born and raised on the island of Mure, which I assume is somewhere off the Scottish mainland. She went away to work in London as a paralegal, and her boss, Joel, had been sent with her to work on some legal business for Colton Rogers, a billionaire who owned half of the island of Mure. Joel is now her boyfriend, and they live together, and Joel works exclusively for Colton Rogers, whereas Flora has opened a small shop/ cafeteria, Seaside Kitchen, which is doing quite well.
Joel is a difficult man, a bit of a mystery, he doesn't relax very much, doesn't talk about his work, and is away working a great deal. He always wear the same colours, like a uniform, because he is terrified that otherwise he might get it wrong. He seems to worship Flora sometimes, and it worries her that one day he will find her faults and be disappointed with her.
This is well written, setting the scene for what appears to be a tense mystery or even thriller. In just the short sample you feel a connection with place and people. I cannot wait to read the rest of the story.

I love Jenny's books and although this is only the first two chapters, I wanted a taster.... This is part of a series set up from a distant shore short read and the summer seaside kitchen set in Mure high in the highlands. You may need to read the last book for the background information of the characters but these two chapters do that and end on a beautiful scene on the beach watching a whale beaching. Can't wait for the whole book
