I wanted to like this book. I liked the concept of this book. The cover is also very appealing.
However, I couldn’t make it past chapter 2. I tried, I really did. I tried on two separate occasions. I just could not get into this story. It has nothing to do with the writing since I didn’t find any major typos or anything like that.
Unfortunately, I do not recommend this book.

Great short story! Let's see... Things I liked... I love undercover cops, I love Russian mafia men even more lmao. I love how protective he is over Lucy and his alpha personality.
Things I didn't like... her brother and how he never really learns his lesson to my satisfaction, how quickly things went down... I wish there was a bit more to it. I also didn't like how his work ended but didn't?
Overall a cute book!

I was excited to read this, I love mafia books, but this one needed help in the execution of the story to hold my attention. It got way too graphic way too fast in my opinion. I took a pass on finishing this book because of that reason.

The Russian was a highly intense novella that I couldn't get enough of. Looking forward to what Renee Rose comes out with next.

I loved reading the amazing Bad Boy Mafia Romance. I voluntarily reviewed a copy through NetGalley. Even though Yuri has been working for three years undercover as the Mafia's Enforcer, Yuri's cover is blown while protecting Lucy. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of mystery, intrigue, and romance, and a must read love story of Yuri and Lucy.

Quick, steaming hot, wildly sexy, emotionally gripping mafia romantic adventure filled with passion, danger and just a twist of intrigue.

Yuri and Lucy are an explosive, thrilling and exciting couple to read about. He is a FBI agent undercover with am mob as an enforcer. She is a DJ working in her brothers night club. Yuri is ordered to kidnap her since the brother owes them and unexpected sparks fly. His protective alpha male instants kick into overdrive and the rest of the world falls away.. Highly entertaining reading experience.

I genuinely liked this book. It's definitely a quick read but compelling, and the authenticity is heightened by the use of Russian throughout the novel. That DJ is a badass lady, to boot!

This was a steamy and quick read. I wasn't sure how I liked the portrayal of the characters themselves (there seemed to be a few stereotypes and I didn't see too much depth in their personalities), but it was still enjoyable.

Fast paced passionate creative read that I enjoyed reading.

Holy moly Yuri! This short steamy mafia romance was just what I needed in between longer books. I loved the storyline and Renee Rose did an amazing job getting me to want a mafia bad boy of my own. My only complaint would be that while I loved it being a shorter book I was left wishing for more. Hopefully, I will find the time to sit down with another of Renee's books again soon.

This book is short and mostly about sex. The story is pretty thin and uninteresting.

Originally, I was drawn to this because I enjoy mafia series and was intrigued by this one however, I found it quite rushed and the plot didn't always make sense to me so I only gave it two stars although, having said this it was quite a quick and easy read so I'm not complaining too much and whilst the plot was and still is enticing I feel as though the portrayal of the plot wasn't the best.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend this just because I personally think there are better mafia books out there however, for a short novella type story I really can't complain that much.

This is the fourth book in the world of “The Bossman” series, though the series is now named “Dark Mafia romance” as stated in this book. This story is about Yuri and Lucy. Yuri is an undercover FBI agent working for the mafia family of Don Diego as enforcer. It’s been so long that he feels like he really is mafia, reminding him of the days when he was part of a Russian mafia. Lucy is DJ on a club her brother Jake owns. Jake has gotten himself into owing Don Diego a huge amount of money and when the time for the mob to collect will come, Lucy will be the center of it. Yuri is assigned to kidnap Lucy so that she is used as a mean to put pressure on her brother. But Yuri has been fantasizing Lucy for so long that quickly things get hot and they get sexually involved through trying to make it look like they are doing some king of love scene.

Renee has once again written a hot spanking romance, but this time she has really delved into the mafia world and she managed to put together some erotic scenes without repeating scenes we’ve seen in the other books of this series. I really enjoyed the fast-pace of this book and I would be interested in reading more books of this mafia world.

This is the first book by this author that I've read. OMG !!! what a well written, gripping story. I just couldn't put this book down till I'd finished it. This is a quick read book but the author has definitely packed a lot into the pages. This is a very hot and steamy mafia romance. This book has lots of suspense, action and plenty of chemistry between the characters. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

This' story was exactly what I have come to expect from Renee Rose, a quick sex/fetish filled story and she delivered. I wish this would have been a tad bit longer to see the relationship develope. At least there was a little back story with Yuri having noticed Lucy a long time ago. It didn't give me the "insta love" feeling because of their mutual attraction.
This was quite direct and to the point, Yuri wanted Lucy so he took her, it really is that simple . Renee Rose has a place in this fetish market and I will look forward to her books to come.

Mob enforcer-undercover FBI agent falls in love. This is different than a previous book I read from Rose, and it’s much better. Fans of Feehan’s “Shadow Rider” series or Kresley Cole’s “Game Maker” series will likely enjoy this one. After all, Who can resist a tough guy who is hopelessly smitten?

Renee Rose is by far my favourite romance author.

With a sexy Russian mobster turned FBI agent, and a funky, sassy DJ and Yoga instructor the pair could not be a stranger fit. Yet the fit is so great it exudes perfection.

Yuri just wants to keep Lucy safe and his protective side was something I really enjoyed. His affection for Lucy has been there since the first time he saw her, and finally they get pushed together by fate. I loved Yuri's love for Lucy, he was the perfect hero, doing everything in his capacity to keep Lucy safe. Lucy was fun, sassy and the perfect fit for Yuri, although his brooding self might not think he deserves her.

This was a really quick read jam packed with action, romance, a couple of steamy scenes and a perfect Happily Ever After. There's nothing better than a short, steamy and cute romance novel to fill your spare time.

Yuri is an enforcer now for the mob. He has a dark background but there is something that gives him hope for more....Lucy.

Lucy is a DJ at her brothers club and she is aware of the darkness surrounding the Russian who always watches her. When she is taken by the mob to get her brothers attention. Girl will do whatever possible to protect her.

This is a quick read filled with heat and well happily ever after. I enjoyed it.

The Russian is a plot that in my opinion is common. But the characters is different as well as the scenes and the climax. Which for me made this a worthwhile read short read.

A Dark Mafia Romance. With an element of BDSM in it.

Yuri and Lucy, both are very different and opposite until you zoom in on the attraction they have towards each other. Both of them come from a different backgrounds. What brought both of them together was a bad decision by Lucy's brother.

This is Erotic Romance, however one thing worth mentioning is Lucy is Yuri's Prisoner. There are scenes that may not be completely consensual.

For Lucy being kidnapped and held by Yuri brought about desires and wants that she did not even know she had. This book introduced her to BDSM. If it was a series it continue on to her finding out what else she likes.


For me this was a great short story to just unwind in.
