I was looking forward to this second book in this series and it didn't let me down at all still full of mystery and wonder and friendship pulling together to solve the mystery. Full of wonderful food and beautiful countryside you just want to be there to enjoy.
Summer has gone and Autumn is coming Rosie is still working at the windmill cafe but she offers to help Matt with his outdoor expedition and they will all camp under the stars and enjoy watching the sunset. She thinks it will be a great way to wind down but also she will be with Matt just what she wants. Problem is one person goes out on there own on the camping trip and gets shot with an arrow and they need to find out who it is. There are many possible people but can Rosie find out who it was in time to save matts place of work or not and she really wants to stay working at the windmill cafe but can she find the killer in time or not.
A great simple read.

Another cover pick! It was a cute and quick read. I would recommend this one to any other fans of contemporary novels.

I was attracted to this book on the strength of the cover and the title without reading the description. I’m a sucker for anything café, shop or beach related but this was not my usual read at all. This is not your typical chick lit but a fictional rom-com with a little mystery added in to the mix. I feel it is suited to a younger reader, from a teen to someone in their early twenties. Having no sex or bad language in it, which is rather refreshing, there is an innocence that reminded me of being curled up on the sofa my parents watching Sunday evening tv in a bygone era when life was simpler. It made me think of Angela Lansbury mixed with Darling Buds of May.

While I liked the mystery side of the story, there was a lot of the story that also dealt with the relationship among the central characters, especially Matt and Rosie. This is the second book in the series, so might explain why I felt a little lost at times on the meaning of things. A fair book, but would suggest you read the first book before this one, and know that it ends with a hanger. Would still recommend, but personally prefer more stand alones.

This book was well written and very fun to read. The characters were great and I enjoyed the world building. The author does a great job at introducing the characters and moving the plot along. There were a few things that I didn't like, but it wasn't enough to really sway me one way or the other. It's definitely a story that I can get lost in and both feel for the characters. It is definitely a go-to novel that I highly recommend to anyone who loves a great read. Definitely a highly recommended read that I think everyone will enjoy.

This book was a ok read. I found the constant introspectiveness of the characters to be slow and boring. The mystery is nice, although I didn't like the reveal of the bad guy that much. The writing is a blend of british and american words and phrasing which can be a bit confusing in places. The character development is great. The description of the area and scenery is very nice.

Book 2 in this series - a short but enjoyable read.

Another mystery to solve, when a customer of the outdoor centre is injured. Matt and Rosie join forces again to find out who did it, and working together again brings them closer.

Left with a surprise at the end of the book, no need to read the next one to see what happens!
