Lucy Baudin’s self esteem has taken a dip due to her ex. She needs to regain control and rebuild her self esteem. She’s a Lawyer and at work she’s bold and confident. In the bedroom it’s a different matter and she needs to reawaken her inner seduction. She asks her friend even though it seems wrong.
This book wasn’t personally for me. It wasn’t bad just not my type of book. For those who enjoy romances this will be the book for them.
Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my reviews.

Katee Robert is fast becoming an auto-read author for me, so I was excited to read Make Me Want. I enjoyed the history and dynamics between Gideon and Lucy, as well as seeing Lucy overcoming her self-esteem issues caused by her ex-fiancé and Gideon’s ex-best friend. Make Me Want was sexy, romantic and had adorable moments. Katee Robert knows how to write steamy scenes. I also enjoyed the ease in which I was able to like both characters and root for them to share their heart’s desires.
However, I couldn’t quite get to grips with the fact that she needed a husband to get a promotion. Since Lucy is in a high-powered position, I was hoping for her to take more control of her work life and stand up to the strange workplace dynamics. There’s also not much of a plot, which I didn’t mind too much since I was more invested in the relationship between Lucy and Gideon.
Overall, Make Me Want is a steamy, enjoyable, quick read.
Thanks to Mills & Boon and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

SUPER-SEXY story. Gideon is employed to find his newest client a husband...and teach her a few new tricks along the way. Well-written, relatable characters and most importantly....HOT.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

Provided by NetGalley for an honest review.

I was actually really surprised by this book. It is erotic, and there is plenty of that, but it’s a story as well. I enjoyed both parts and was impressed with the writing and the characters.

I'd like to declare before saying anything else that this isn't the type of book I normally go for. But I tried to start it with an open mind.

Unfortunately, I still didn't enjoy it. It was very much a naughty book by numbers. There was very little plot and it was only there to give an excuse for the sex scenes.

The book revolves around 2 characters who used to know each other at college but lost touch due to the bad behaviour or a best friend/fiance. Then a few years later, the woman gets in touch with the man with a proposition that he should find her a husband so that she could get the promotion she deserves at work.

The fact that I can't remember the woman's name, even though I finished reading it 10 minutes ago, is not a good sign in itself.

But on the plus side, I haven't got a lot to compare it to so it may still be enjoyable if it's the sort of thing you read regularly.

Very easy read. Not your typical M&B - well i guess they've changed the formula up a bit. Lucy reaches out to her ex's best friend and asks him to find her a husband but in the meantime he has to teach her how to be good in bed so she can regain her confidence.

I found the plot a little cliche in parts. I didnt totally buy the chemistry between them or the slightly implausible story line but it was interesting enough. A little light relief between heavier books - read it in one sitting!.

I really liked the fact that there is friendship along with romance in this story and I think it made for a more rounded story. The chemistry between Gideon and Lucy is on fire, sparks definitely fly when they are together. There is heat but also feelings involved and I was hoping that they would get a happy ever after. This story has some fun moments, plenty of misunderstandings and a deal between the two characters that will change everything!

Flirty and fun! If you are looking for a friends to lovers story then look no further.

Three and a half stars (rounded up to Four)

With thanks to Mills and Boon & Netgalley for my copy.

This book was highly unbelievable, but I don't think I expected anything more. I would not want to read anymore in this genre.

Lucy and Gideon are old friends and Lucy's ex was Gideon's friend who treated her badly and put a large dent in Lucy's self confidence.. Lucy wants help from Gideon to find a husband and get her assurance back in the bedroom. There are some steamy sex scenes and tender moments. Enjoyable book.

Lucy split up with her ex a couple of years ago, and her confidence has yet to recover from the damage he did. Although she's a successful lawyer, she feels like she needs a partner to be taken seriously for further promotion at work, so she hires Gideon to help her find a husband. He's known as a good head-hunter, but finding a husband is quite different. Then there's the fact that his former best friend is Lucy's former boyfriend, and he hasn't seen her since the break up. On top of everything, Lucy doesn't just want him to find her a husband, she's also asked him to teach her how to get better with physical relationships.

The entire set up sounded fun, and the book jumps right in to the action, with Lucy negotiating with Gideon over her proposal that he find her a husband and give her sexual lessons. You can feel the tension between them straight away, and once it flips to Gideon's point of view, we learn that he has always found Lucy attractive. The main issues which the couple face over the course of the story are Gideon's guilt over how badly his former friend treated Lucy; Lucy's damaged confidence from her last relationship; and how determined each of them is to stick to their initial agreement of the rules of their interactions.

It was a fun and fast read, frustrating at times when the characters chose not to talk about certain things with each other, or jumped to (wrong) conclusions. Of course they ultimately end up together, and I enjoyed the way that was worked out. For all that there is a fair amount of sex in the book, it was actually quite a sweet romance. Which brings me to another point: although this is part of the new Mills & Boon range 'Dare', which is meant to be their sexiest books yet, it didn't stand out to me as particularly more sexy that other things I've read. It's perhaps more detailed than some of the others in the Mills & Boon stable, and it was steamy & well written, but nothing out of the ordinary really.

Overall, Make Me Want is a fun, sexy romance novel, perfect to cheer up a gloomy spring weekend. I'm giving it 7/10.

Hot & steamy erotic book. A friends to lovers story. Robert has a knack for allowing readers to live vicariously through her imagination. A short sexy read and a good addition to the publisher's new Dare collection..

Make Me Want by Katee Robert is another sexy read from the DARE range, a Mills and Boon series with a spicy kick!

In this story, we meet Lucy and Gideon who were once friends but end up back together because she needs a pretend husband and he feels guilty about letting her previous boyfriend get away with cheating on her, and subsequently ruining her self-esteem. So reluctantly, Gideon agrees to help Lucy find a new man, despite wanting for himself.

The character development was fun to read, as was the hot and engaging story-line. Great for romance lovers who like the friends turning into lovers trope! Make Me Want reveals the inner thoughts and feelings of two smart and sensual characters who each have their own reason to make you want to read on.

If you enjoy the push and pull of a "will they or won't they?" romance, you'll most probably like this easy to read, smart and seductive tale!

This book is hot. The relationship between Lucy and Gideon will light a room on fire. Its about Lucy wanting to marry a random stranger in order for her to progress at work. Gideon is her Mr fixit who ended up`in her bed because she felt like she is out of practice. I enjoyed this book very much

A very sexy book, with a storyline to boot! Sounds like that would be simple but isn’t always there in this particular genre.

I really enjoyed the first part of this book but really struggled from the halfway part that I ended up skipping parts. There plenty of steamy moments between the two lead characters as they go back and forth between being friends and lovers. The writing quality was perfectly okay I think I struggled with the story arc dragging abit.

I was provided with an ARC of this book By Netgalley of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
