Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

I read a lot of Cathy Cassidy as a child and i was thrilled to go back into this world. I loved the story of Lexie and how she wanted to find her birth mother. The way that Cassidy explores issues affecting modern day young people and it's so good to see Cassidy connecting with the next generation of readers.

When I was struggling to finish a book, and really wanted to read something I knew I would enjoy, Cathy Cassidy came instantly to mind. Her books never fail to make me feel all warm inside, and glowing with the idea of happy endings, cute boys and ridiculously named cafes. (The Leaping Llama was definitely a highlight.)

Love from Lexie includes letters and song lyrics that are the emotional core of the story, and I really wanted to see her succeed and recognise that even though her mum may have left her, she has a new family in her band, The Lost and Found.

The emphasis on going to your local library and using those resources was amazing, and I hope this encourages readers to support their library because it really is such a great service. I felt inspired to write to my council, or set up a new club to help membership! Cathy reminds us that reading is a powerful act.

I also appreciated the inclusion of a queer character, because although the representation wasn't perfect, it's the first I've noticed in her 10+ books and I think that's the diversity branch I want to see more in her future work!

Overall, this was a fun, cute read that I enjoyed from start to finish! Now, where can I buy the Lost and Found CD?

Cathy Cassidy was the author that provided me with my first glimpse into teen fiction. Her books gave me the opportunity to discover a world I was yet to live in.

10 years on, I was doubtful as to whether I’d feel the same. I can confirm I did! Still relatable, still unpredictable and still providing me with a story I was hooked on.

Love From Lexie explores the world of foster care and the life of Lexie after her Mum goes out one day and never comes back. A story of true friendship and chance follow.

Suitable for a slightly older audience than some of her early novels, Cassidy had catered for an audience that has grown with her. Very glad I have it a chance. Thanks for the ARC netgalley

Lexie is a girl whose mum left her and wandered into the wild world. Now living with a foster family and her turtle Mary Shelley Lexie is still fighting with the nightmares of the past. But things can take an unexpected turn- her support group turns into an indie band and her love of books involves her in the fight against closing local libraries. Will Lexie leave the past behind? Will her love interest like her for real? It's for you to find out!
