I enjoyed this book but it is quite intense and needs your full attention.I would have given it 5* but found the narrative a little annoying in places.

Unfortunately have not read Sirens the first in the Detective Aidan Waits series. Did find the smiling man second in the series a little confusing because of this. Nevertheless a great read and look forward to reading sirens!

I did enjoy this book, albeit I got a bit lost at times, and I think it would definitely help the reader if they read Joseph’s first book in the series, Sirens.

Having said that, it all came together nicely at the end, and i won’t spoil it for the other readers by saying what surprised me most of all, you’ll have to read it and see ....
