This book lets you go on a journey with the main character. At times you were by her side, other times you doubted her and in the end you realized that she was essentially acting like any mother would.
The story explorers not only questions surrounding her own ability to be a mother, but also that of her own mother. We see aspects of postnatal depression as well as the courage to follow what your instincts are telling you.
I enjoyed the story and felt personally attached as the themes covered some aspects of what I went through with my own child birth. Would recommend this book to others, as it is a story that stays with you emotionally for a while after finishing the last pages.

Thank you netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Sasha and Mark are having marital issues that she hope can be fixed with a baby. After an emergency c-section, Sasha wakes up alone and confused and desperate to see her baby. When she sees him she is adamant that the baby is not hers and is desperate to find her child.

I really don't want to say more as this would spoil the story for others but what a brilliant read. I devoured it over a day and really enjoyed the explosive ending. Brilliant debut novel
