Ooph! This was a fantastic but painful read. Coming off two years of lockdown, a redundancy and no job, this has renewed my love of and desire for travel and shown how it is still quite a far off goal. One day. It'll all be fine. I really loved this book and the illustrations are gorgeous. Thank you for approving me for this title even though it's taken me far too long to read it.

Baxter is a travel journalist, and with The Inspired Traveller's Guide to Spiritual Places, has compiled a gorgeous collection of spiritual locations from around the world. Rapa Nui, Kyoto, Uluru, and Devil’s Tower are among the places covered. Each of the 25 locations has a bit of history, tales of past visitors, and suggestions for a visit of your own, along with stunning watercolour sketches, and pictures. I really enjoyed this book! The only sadness was that Cahokia and Chaco Canyon were not among the places included. A great addition to any coffee table collection!

I love to travel but mostly I am a armchair tourist. I would love to visit everyone of the 25 places listed in this book. The 25 places listed in this book are from all over the world. They are all very spiritual places to visit. These are Spiritual not Religious. They open your spirit to the past. Some of the places are Crater Lake, Easter Island, and The Devil's Tower. There are amazing pictures of each site as well as a description and some history.

This is a short book but packed full of beauty and information. hopefully some day I will be able to see at least some of these places in person.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.

Now, more than ever, we are looking for answers in a world seemingly gone mad. Baxter puts together 25 trips to destinations of special spiritual significance around the world, places imbued with religious significance and natural beauty. No need to be concerned that these trips are about conventional religion, readers not be religious, just looking for answers in things and places bigger than themselves. If you can’t actually travel, this makes a lovely “mental” getaway from the stresses of the modern world
