I am rating this book 3.5 stars but have rounded up.

When I read the blurb I wasn't completely drawn into the storyline however I decided to read it because I do like a story about ice queens so I decided to give it a go. I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed the storyline a lot where I was looking forward to picking up the book again whenever I could. I liked the characters found they all worked well and found them all likable. Erin was a bit of a debbie downer but found myself still liking her and enjoying following her journey.

For me it was the romance that just struggled to fully connect. I just didn't feel the emotion and pull between the two. This book leaves out the sex scenes which I am ok with but think that normally does add a level of emotion so when it is omitted you need to ensure the interactions bring in enough emotion between the two. The ending was probably the most disappointing in their reunion was a flop for me. There was a lot that needed to be said between the two as throughout the book their relationship was more physical with not a lot of talking about them as a couple so when you get to the end and acknowledge they want to be together for me that is where you would say everything that they had left out before.

Overall I did really enjoy the read and think I feel strongly about the romance lacking aspect because I enjoyed every other aspect of the book and felt it could have been great instead of good! This is my first book by Charlotte Greene's and will look into picking up more of her work!
