Having thoroughly enjoyed The Dry I was keen to read Jane Harper’s next book and I wasn’t disappointed. I felt as if I was part of the group as the characters were portrayed so well.. With vivid descriptions of the outback, the reader is certainly transported to the Australian bush for this gripping tale.

Aaron Falk is fast becoming my favourite literary detective, so it's no surprise that I really enjoyed this book. The two different viewpoints took a while to get used to but was really well done in the end. And the unfolding crime was brilliantly written - with enough clues for you to be able to piece parts of it together. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Just as page turning as Jane Harper's previous book, The Dry. The character of Aaron Falk is explored a little further but I liked the fact you wouldn't have had to read the previous book to understand the story as a whole. The women depicted are all interesting, intriguing characters in their own right, which makes piecing together the puzzle all the most exciting... I read the book in two nights and couldn't put it down - already looking forward to Jane Harper's next book!
