This book had an interesting premise. The country and society it is set against is rich and full of potential. Unfortunately, I did not find the story very compelling. While the description promised a story about war, theft & politics set against a backdrop of greed and decadence there was nothing in the book that made me very interested in the story. The story seemed to wander around and the characters are all too relaxed and feel mostly underdeveloped.

While I like the idea behind the book and feel it has potential as it currently stands it is just not a gripping story. I believe the plot and main characters both need to be radically rethought.
