Grace Fisher is a fantastic detective and I have loved her from the moment I read the first book she starred in. She is not perfect, but she recognizes this and just works with what she can. She is compassionate and just all round kick ass.
I love any good crime thriller but I adore ones with strong female leads and this is absolutely one of the best out there. Can highly recommend!
