I really enjoy this commentary series! This one by Leon Morris is no exception. While I can say that reading and rating a commentary is usually an ongoing process for me (as I continue to read other scholarly work and study to continue forming, testing, and correcting my theology. I didn't finish the whole book, but I read enough to get a good idea that this volume is certainly worth consideration when reading for opinions and work on the book of Revelation. I'm not entirely sure I agree with EVERYTHING presented in this volume, but it was certainly worth the read and a great voice in the conversation by which I could be challenged and taught alternative positions/theology.

Wow! When I selected this book, I was interested in the subject matter and did not know anything about the author. After starting this commentary, I became even more intrigued to read what he had to say and took the time to learn about this author.

Honestly, I have not finished the book because it is not that kind of book. It is a study aid that will keep you interested and digging deeper and that takes time. The writing style is by no means boring nor are things expressed in a way that will leave you wondering what the author is talking about. Be prepared to rise to a higher level in your thinking.

I have voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book that was provided by InterVarsity Press and Net Galley. However, the opinions expressed are my own.

A guide to one of the most complex and compelling books of scripture that is equally suitable for the theologian, as well as, the person trying to better understand their faith.

This is a very good and interesting commentary.

The author presents well thought-out and well researched perspective on the words/texts that are less clear, and makes solid arguments towards the perspective that he considers to be correct, as well as stating clearly whether there are multiple perspectives that could be valid.

Overall I gained a lot of understanding on the book of Revelation from reading this commentary.
