A lovely user friendly dictionary perfect for young readers to use. Lots of lovely illustrations to add interest.

This looks great, it will be very useful for children. My almost 7 year old and 10 year old will love this. Its very kid friendly.

Collins Children’s Dictionary has been revolutionised to bring us this more appealing, more attractive, even better than before version of the traditional dictionary. My students enjoyed using this and found it very easy to use. Dictionaries in modern times have a lot of competition against internet searches but this new version competed well and was definitely one my students were happy to turn to rather than typing their query into the iPad version to find the meaning. I highly recommend this dictionary for all learners.

Collins Children’s Dictionary is a fun, adorable and beautifully written and colored book that has attracted many children! Our own daughters loved this and go back to it very often! This is a sensible, no-nonsense dictionary which I would use, even as an adult, to supplement my other dictionaries.

Information about word classes such as nouns, adjectives, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, and conjunctions and so on is included. It is clearly laid out and easy to both understand and use. The dictionary is well illustrated with a good range of colours and is straightforward in its design.

This would be a great addition to any family or child's bookcase and I would highly recommend it for its simplicity.

I rated this book with five stars but as I try to use emojis other than stars let's give it a minnow.

If you are looking to buy your child a dictionary then this is the dictionary to get! It is clear and easy to understand. It uses a range of colours and has a clear layout which makes it easy for children to use. This should be a staple of any child's bookcase and I can't recommend it highly enough.

This could benefit a lot of families with a bit older children (aged 7 +). However, I must admit I was curious about checking some words too!

Unfortunately the formatting was a bit out when we were given this to read, however we found it just useful as a dictionary but for the English language knowledge it provided, for example about the verbs, adverbs, pronouns and conjections and so on. It’s certainly worth having as a reference, really very handy

This looks to be a VERY good dictionary for use in Key Stages 2 and 3 or for families with children of 7 to 14.
Among other ways, I test a dictionary by checking the words 'text' and 'mobile'. Excellent up to date definitions and example of use.
The references to history of a word, pronunciation and antonyms where appropriate are helpful and not so frequent as to confuse the page.
Definitely recommend.

A really useful book even for adults. Very nice illustrations. I will be saving this book for my now 2 year old as I know she will no doubt add more words to her ever expanding vocabulary.

Even as an adult I prefer a children’s dictionary. I still use the one my nan gave me when I was little. For those who fall in love with words, a dictionary is something you will always treasure.
This one will be the perfect gift for many. The font is accessible and the illustrations give the dictionary a charming touch.
