Another steaming hot series of beautiful men loving unbelievably beautiful women; no conflict, only a little drama along the way. The fact that this edition contains the first three books in the series is definitely a plus. The best element in this book is the (instant) romance between Sky and Park, which only started in the second part and developed more in the third. The cliffhanger with which the book concluded was so perfectly placed I feel like it's genuinely one of Audrey Carlan's strengths. I need to know what is going to happen!

At times however, I wasn't sure if I wanted to read on with this book. It was so blatantly sexist, so extremely conservative - yes, although it has some scorching hot sex scenes - that I was left wondering why this book seemed to be catering for men so much. Any girl anytime the second they saw Parker wanted to just suck his dick and rail him until he forgot his name. Instantly. Their unswerving willingness was painful to watch. The raw twilightesque protective instinct the IG guys displayed towards any pretty, petite, small, hot woman they basically felt this strange entitlement to was another unpleasant, embarrassing experience. Also, not diverse at all, rather one big lump of homogeneity.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend this series, the series I would recommend reading however is Trinity by Audrey Carlan. Just as sexy, but way less problematic!

Paris

This is the first novella in this series and it’s where we learn about the men of International Guy. Oooh boy. What a group they are. Parker, Royce and Bogart. The Dream Maker, the Moneymaker and the Lovemaker. Their company is a unique one and they helps clients any way they can.

In this story they help Sophie Rolland, an heiress who is set to take over her family’s perfume company. She’s worth A LOT of money and needs to get in CEO shape. She’s young and being thrown in the deep end of the pool thanks to her father’s early death.

This was a great introduction because we get all three guys in this story. We get to see them all in action and and how they deal with clients. Bo takes care of the clothes, Royce takes care of any business that needs to be done and Parker, well the takes care of everything else. No, really.

Gah! I love them so much! These men fiercely loyal to each other and have each other’s backs no matter what. I loved finishing knowing that we have eleven more stories to go with this crew.

New York

When movie star Skyler Paige loses her muse, International Guy, specifically Parker, is called in to help. He’ll spend some time with her and help find her love of acting again. It should be a simple job for him and on some level it is. But the catch here is that Skyler also happens to be Parker’s perfect woman. His dream girl.

Luckily for Parker, Skyler felt an instant connection to him. He has that affect on people, especially women and before she knows it, her love of acting is renewed. Along the way the two fall into an easy relationship. It’s not the first time Parker gets involved with a client, but it is the first time he wants it to turn into more.

I loved these two so much! Parker opened Skye's eyes to the things she neglected, thanks to her hectic life. The simple act of going sightseeing in a city she lives in, opened up a part of her she didn’t know was closed. It’s clear from the end of this book that Skyler will be sticking around for a while and that made me very happy. I love her. She’s perfect for Parker.

One other great thing about this book was the introduction to International Guy’s new assistant, Wendy. Wendy is AWESOME. Shes a jack of all trades who quickly proves that she can handle all that International Guy gives her. She also has an interesting personal life that I have a feeling we will get to know more about in upcoming books.

Copenhagen

Once again Parker’s help is needed and this time it is to convince a Princess to marry her Prince. What could be hard about that? A lot actually. But Parker is not one to give up and he pulls out all the stops to get the job done. He even brings in Bo for back up. It’s a sweet story that I really enjoyed, especially the fairytale ending.

And I was right about Skyler sticking around and I couldn’t be happier about that. She pops up in this story, as does Sophie.

I love Bo and I can’t wait for both him and Roy to play a bigger role in these stories. At this point we know Parker quite well and I REALLY want to know more about the other two!

International Guy Volume 1 consists of the first 3 books – Paris, New York, Copenhagen of the 12 books series. The series revolved around 3 friends and founders of International Guy Inc. which mission is to help women around the world. The concept of the book is refreshing as each novella feature a new city and new client. For this volume, it was fun to see Parker, the Dream Maker, traveled to 3 different cities to help 3 different clients with some unorthodox problems. The banter between the 3 friends – Bo, Royce and Parker were hilarious. Overall, I enjoyed this cute, sexy and quick read and would recommend it.

Three friends, Bo, Royce & Parker, consider each other family & open a company named International Guy Inc. which allows these three playboy's to travel the world helping women. Each 'International Guy' has an AKA, the Lover, the Money Maker & the Dream Maker & Volumes Book 1 mainly focuses on Parker, the Dream Maker as he travels to Paris, New York & Copenhagen 'helping' a different woman in each city with a novella length read at each stop as they guys travel the world. The best part is the banter & conversation between the men, alot of laugh out loud moments. It was a very interesting take for a book and while it may not be for everyone it is definitely a book I would recommend. Can't wait to read the other International Guy Volumes to see which, if any women can capture these playboy's heart!
I am voluntarily leaving this voluntary review, but for full disclosure I did receive an review copy, ARC, of this book from the publisher via NetGalley.

I was really looking forward to reading this book as I’ve read other books by this author and her romances are totally unputdownable!
This was not the case with International guy. The writing was spot on and her characters were well developed.
What I didn’t like, was that I just couldn’t wrap myself around what the characters were doing.
It won’t deter me from reading this author again, and my opinion is totally on me.

Ok – first of all I've got to admit that this is the first Audrey Carlan book I've read! Oh boy - I know, I know - I need a telling off right now! Why did I wait so long? I absolutely LOVED her style of writing!

International Guy - Volume 1 contains the first three books of the sexy 12 book series.

Set up my Parker Ellis (aka the Dream Maker), International Guy Inc. helps high profile clients with a variety of unorthodox problems. His partners, Bogart “Bo" Montgomery (aka Love Maker), and Royce Sterling (aka Money Maker) pitch in to make up the dynamic team.

The first book takes us to PARIS. The first client – Sophie Rolland. Sophie is heir to the Rolland Group empire and needs their help with running the business.

The second book takes us to NEW YORK. The second client – Skyler Paige. She’s lost all enthusiasm for her model/acting work and needs help getting her mojo back.

The third book takes us to COPENHAGEN. The third client - Princess Christina Kaarsberg. She's out of control and needs to be tamed for her impending marriage!

This is just a very brief description of the volume, because I don't want to spoil it for you. But, believe me when I say you're gonna find it so hard to put this down. It’s SIZZLING HOT, SEXY, and will leave you begging for more!

A definite 5 gold stars from me!

The first series I read from Audrey Carlan was the Calendar Girl series which I absolutely loved. Once I heard about her new series International Guy I needed to get my hands on it immediately. In International Guy we follow Parker, Bo and Royce who run a business by helping women reach their full potential in whatever job they may have. In Vol. 1 we see the first three stories which are Paris, New York and Copenhagen.

This was not a bad start to the series and I can see why there are some many positive reviews but for me it was as great as it could have been. Maybe my expectations were way to high from the Calendar Girl series? I think another downfall to why I felt let down was the portrayal of Parker, Bo and Royce. At times I felt like they were too cocky and were only interested in how women look which was a turn off while reading the story.

I do want to continue the series to see where it goes. I feel like the storyline is good and I want to see what happens with Parker and Skyler.
Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for my free copy!

I received an ARC copy from Netgally in exchange for my honest review.

I am in love with these stories. Not only do I love the fact that she is writing in a different place, but I love that the three guys all have different personalities and skill sets.

This gives me a little reminisce of Calendar girl in the way that it is written. It is set in a different place, with different characters but it looks like Parker has maybe fallen in love with one already. I am really excited to see how that plays out.

I love that this also speaks a bit to women empowerment (not that I think you need an agency or a man to help you) but, I think it shows that women have it in them sometimes they just need a little push.

I am hoping that in the next 3 stories you get to experience a little more of the other two guys, not just the "Dream Maker". I also hope that the assistant Wendy plays a bigger role, because I have fallen in love with her character.

These stories definitely are fueling my love for travel, and I cannot wait to find out who we are going to meet and where we are going to go in the next stories.

Let me start by saying that the writing itself was great, it was cute and hook d me right away. But having said that, I gave up after about 60 pages. It was filled with too many romance and non-romance tropes and unbearable dialogue, not to mention the most important part in a good romance seemed to be missing: chemistry. Sorry, I tried.

I came to know about Audrey Carlan from her Calendar Girl series which was AHMAZING. one of my all time favorites! So IG sounded very similar but from a man’s perspective. Without thinking I jumped right in. While I like the idea of IG and their characters, I feel like the male perspective is not on point. I forget often that the book is on Parker’s perspective. Sometimes his thoughts are much like a woman’s, not that I really know how a man thinks but I feel that maybe the author romanticized Parker’s thoughts a bit too much.
Besides that, I love the description of each place setting...and the situations of each job is quite unique. Cannot wait to read more of these characters and hopefully Parker’s voice can convince me a bit more.

I'm bummed that this book did not work for me. I've read other books by this author and loved them. I could not stand the MC of this story. He and his friends owned a company that helped businesses, but he was entirely unprofessional in his interactions with his client. It bothered me so much, I couldn't continue reading any longer.

What an amazing start to his series, the first three books were incredible. I’m kind of sad that the third book left my heart sore. If you haven’t read the books yet all I have to say is, stuff better get worked out, and someone needs to get their mind and heart right. I absolutely can’t wait for the next books.

These are small stories and three of them are in the first volume. I'll admit some aspects of IG are a bit cheesey and reading mainly from Parker's perspective took some getting used to. I like the characters for the most part and a lot of the steamy moments are incredibly steamy! I just want a bit more background on the main characters and I'm guessing that will come with the other volumes to come. Overall, not bad for a contemporary romance. 3.5 stars.

International Guy is a new series from Audrey Carlan. It features The Dream Maker, Parker Ellis; The Love Maker, Bo Montgomery & Royce Sterling, The Money Maker. Three boyhood friends who came up the idea of International Guy while at college. The premise of their company is to provide whatever support their mainly female clients need whether its regarding their personal appearance, matters of the heart or financial advice. Really their job is to give their clients the confidence to reach their full potential.

For the first section of this book they travel to Paris to help Sophie Rolland, heiress to a perfume empire who has had to take control of her family company sooner than expected after the sudden death of her father. A task that she is woefully unprepared for but with Bo working on her personal appearance, Royce giving her some business support and Parker working on building her confidence, Sophie soon comes into her own, ready to take the helm of her company.

The second part finds International Guy Inc. a little closer to home. Their next client is Skylar Payne, a New York based actress who is suffering from burnout. Trouble is, she has contracts she must fulfil or she could lose everything she has spent years working for. Matters aren’t helped any due to the fact that Parker has had a major crush on Skylar for years. Will he be able to resist temptation long enough to help Skylar rediscover her love of acting or has he bitten of more than he can handle on this particular job?

For the final part of this book the action moves to Copenhagen where their latest client is none other than the Danish Royal family. Princess Christina was due to marry Crown Prince Sven, her childhood sweetheart but for some reason she’s decided her sister would make a far better Queen than she ever could so in a desperate attempt to prove this to Sven she’s become the darling of the paparazzi in an effort to force him to marry her sister instead. It’s obvious she still loves her prince so Parker has to get to root of her sudden transformation before she does something she’ll regret.

At first I wasn’t sure about this book – Parker comes across as a bit of a dog to start with but gradually he grew on me and I love the rest of the characters especially their new PA Wendy who surely deserves her own book. I’d love to hear all about how she met ‘Sir’ Mick. And Sophie Rolland from book one who has become a recurring character in the series is another one I’d love to hear more about. I know who I’d love to see her end up with.

There are another nine countries to go in this series and I for one can’t wait to find out what’s next in store for Parker & International Guy Inc. so it’s next stop Milan for me.

Vivement.
