Well-developed characters. Interesting plot. Vivid descriptions. A good, solid read.
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
Susie and Danielle may be close in age but are certainly not close for sisters and this distance is the perfect set-up for this who is telling the truth scenario. It's a cracking short story to keep you entertained over lunch, on the bus, in a waiting room or anywhere you can grab some time to read.
With thanks to netgalley and the author
The killing type is a short story, not a full length book, but I still enjoyed it. A good little crime read
The Killing Type is a short story about two sisters, Susie and Danielle. The fact this was such a short story, only 50 pages, there was no room for character development. I felt the story was rushed yet was able to add in some twists. Overall just wish it was a full length book.
A quick read that gets your attention from the jump. I enjoyed the writing, and the pacing (and length of the book) kept me engaged with the story.

The Killing Type by Jane Corry
Sisters Susie and Danielle have never been close.
So Susie is surprised when Danielle messages her unexpectedly.
Danielle wants a favor, a big one.
A huge shocking one.
Will Susie grant the favor or not?
This was a super short, quick psychological thriller.
It was almost over before it began.
Gripping, shocking and surprising.
A lunch break read.
I recommend the book for people who like psychological suspense books and shorter quicker reads.
3.5*****
My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the complimentary e arc in exchange for an honest review.
review posted to Netgalley, Goodreads, Wordpress and amazon.
Jane Corry is one of those rare authors that is incapable of writing a bad book. The plot is fantastic and keeps you guessing about who is really guilty.
Highly recommend for anybody who enjoys a good thriller
Gutted that this was only a short story, so well written and amazed at how much detail the author was able to include in such few pages. Still have questions…. Left me wanting more!!
I would like to thank Jane Corry and Netgalley for this opportunity to read a short book.
This is told from both sisters perspectives. Who is telling the truth? Who is lying? Can both sisters be as cruel as they are being led to believe or are they sweet and innocent like they are portraying?
You will have to read The Killing Type and see who is a killer, if any of them are?????
This book is great! Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
This is a very short story but it has you gripped with its secrets and lies . It still had enough plots and characters to keep my interest going.
An interesting quick read, I would have liked more. I felt like I left this book knowing nothing about the characters so felt a bit let down. I would have liked more, I get it is more a short story but it seems to me that it is just the middle of a story.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this book and to be an early reader via NetGalley! However, I will not be writing a review for this title at this time, as my reading preferences have since changed somewhat. In the event that I decide to review the book in the future, I will make sure to purchase a copy for myself or borrow it from a library. Once again, thank you so much for providing me with early access to this title. I truly appreciate it. Please feel free to contact me with any follow-up questions or concerns.
A dark physiological thriller about two sisters who aren't close...but then a phone call happens.... a dramatic story full of twists and turns...
This was a great short story. Even though there are only 50 pages, the author packs a punch. There are several twists that will shock you and make this a pleasure to read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was a very short but suspenseful read which I enjoyed. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
Great thrilling novel which kept me turning the pages, would highly recommend to others. Brilliant writing, plot and characters.
A fun and fast paced short story about two sisters, who just don't seem the killing type?
It's a quick and easy read with a few twists thrown in. I found the fact that there was such big gaps in the story line annoying as i couldn't connect with the characters
Overall it kind of does what it says on the tin
This is a short story from one of my favourite's authors. I absolutely love Jane Corry's works and love all of her books.
It was nice to read a short story by her.
I read it in one sitting and the only downside to the book is that it was not a long book at all!
It was a great story and I really enjoyed it!
This is a short story about two sisters Danielle and Susie, Danielle thinks her sisters husband Simon is trying to kill her and tries to discuss it with her sister.
A few things have happened including Danielle’s brakes being tampered with and she crashes the car, she goes to talk to Susie but she doesn’t believe her and tells the police that her sister is a drama queen and the police close the complaint down.
Then one of the sisters is charged with murder, who and why?
It might be short but it packs a punch for sure! Loved it 5 stars!!
