I couldn't put this book down!!! I started it right after finishing Even Money as I had to know what was going to happen. The book took some twists and turns that I certainly wasn't expecting and kept me guessing till the very end. I really enjoyed this duet, but would love some more of these characters as I really liked reading about them. This book was provided to me by NetGalley for an honest review.

This was such a great story. I loved the characters and their developing relationship. This was one of the best duo of books I've read in a long time.

This is the second book in the All In Duet by Alessandra Torre and immediately follows Even Money. The first book ended on a CRAZY cliffhanger, and this book picks up exactly where Even Money left off. I don't know if I agree with the way that they were split, or even that they were split, but I'm glad there wasn't much a wait between the two titles. The twists and turns in the story line keep you reading, and the introduction to a SPOILER female villain was great! What a fun, sexy read.

Double Down is the second book in the All In Duet by Alessandra Torre and must be read after Even Money. The first book left us with a CRAZY cliffhanger, so crazy my mind was racing with different scenarios on how the cliffhanger could play out. Thankfully we didn't have to wait long to find out.

We pick up right where the first book ends and the first thing Dario does is send Bell out of town, he needs to be sure she is safe and then he can do what needs to be done....and boy oh boy does he! Bell is not happy about this but after a while she understands, I also think she gets a better picture of Dario from her time away. There love is worth fighting for, unfortunately Gwen is the one that pays the ultimate price.

There was so much going on here. I was fascinated by Claudia, this woman is bat-shit crazy and I have a feeling we may see her again somewhere down the line....and I really hope we do! Hawk, ugggghhhhh, he got what was coming to him but I was hoping for more, that man was just pure EVIL!

I was left with a book hangover from Even Money, Double Down left me feeling like I was sucker punched, between the Holy Shit and WTF moments, things were coming at you from every side. Be prepared for this thrilling ride because once you start you wont want to stop.

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good romantic suspense with great main characters that have you rooting for them right from the very beginning, and secondary characters that you hope to see get their own HEAs sometime in the future. Happy Reading!

This book picks up exactly where Even Money ( book 1 ) left off! I loved Bell and Dario in book one and this book took them to places I never even imagined. The twists and turns kept me reading !

My second book by Alessandra Torre and definitely not my last !

Double Down is the conclusion to the All In Duet and swiftly continues on from the first in this two part romantic suspense series. Bell and Dario risk everything by being together and in this second part it seems that they may pay a high price for their romance.

Double Down is fast paced and high in drama. It takes lots of twists and turns and has a conclusion that I truly did not anticipate which will certainly please those who are partial to romantic suspense stories. There are many aspects at play and I wish perhaps that I had discovered more about the motivation of certain elements of the story and would have loved more layers peeled away.

The romantic relationship between Bell and Dario continues to develop ensuring the romance levels of this story flourish with the added bonus of scorching hot scenes between the protagonists, something that this author never fails to expertly and beautifully create within the pages of her narrative.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough suspenseful romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

I've bee eagerly anticipating this conclusion after the ending to book one and it did not disappoint. on that end. It came soon after Even Money so it's still fresh. It's no doubt still full of suspense and intrigue and keeps you guessing and reading! I was on the edge of my seat still and riveted through it all. What will happen and who will come out the winner?

After how things ended now more questions abound and more secrets to be uncovered. With things happening it's a continuous race, full of u turns and road blocks and signs that things aren't what they seem. It's all a mind game to see who can outwit and outplay the other, so many players involved now though. Expect twists and turns in how it plays out. Very aptly titled as a blackjack term, a risky hand to play that could win it all or be a disaster.

I've enjoyed Alessandra Torre's romantic suspense, good build up and the right amount of romance, suspense and heat. She makes them engaging and unputdownable. The need to know what happens next, who will emerge triumphant. She makes good characters too you like a lot.

We also get to know more about Dario's past and it's just as intense as the guy now. You can understand why Bell is captivated into him despite the dangers. He was edgier for me in the first book but he was still a consummate protector and determined to keep Bell. For a book two it lost some steam, I wish a few loose ends were tied up better but it's still a riveting and sexy duet that's compelling worth a read!

Double Down is the intense conclusion to Even Money and one thing you can be guaranteed when picking up an Alessandra Torre book, is get ready for the ride of your life. Alessandra weaves a story of sex and murder; throw in the setting in Las Vegas, and you have the recipe for one heck of a book that leaves you one the edge of your recliner till the end.
Bravo again, Alessandra, another fantastic five star book.

4.5 Fabulous edge of your seat stars

WOW what a rollercoaster ride that one was. This one from start to finish there was never a dull moment to be had, was on the edge of my seat every second of it and could not put it down.

Double Down picks up immediately where we left off at the end of Even Money and I must say I had no idea where the author was going to take us with the story in this one and must say I was pleasantly shocked with where the story went. Suspenseful reads are usually not my norm and usually not a lover of them but I must say this one was such a fabulous read. I really loved the dynamic the author built up between Dario and Bell. The chemistry between these two was off the charts hot but there was so much more happening between them, Their connection was instant and you couldn't help but feel their connection.

I loved Dario at the end of Even Money but I must say I loved him even more after reading Double Down. He was your hot sexy bad boy but he was so much more. He was caring and so very protective of Bell and you couldn't help but totally swoon over him and all that he did to protect her.

I loved how strong Bell was. I loved that she didn't turn into this damsel in distress ad that the horrific event of her past made her be guarded with men and her heart but it didn't make her weak.

Overall this was a fabulous read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Although like the first book, the flipping back and forth between 1st POV for Bell and 3rd POV for Dario and other parts of the story was very distracting for me and took away for the storyline and how great it was but must say the strength of the storyline was what kept me reading and not wanting to put it down. If you love a really great suspenseful read, this is definitely one duet you must read!

This was a great conclusion to a thoroughly entertaining, fast-paced duo by Alessandra Torre. Double Down has it all: action, suspense and romance. Perhaps I would have liked to see a bit more insight into Dario ad Bell's relationship and why the fell for each other so quickly (beyond the obvious physical attraction), but otherwise I enjoyed the well-rounded plot. I loved Dario, Bell, and their friends. Torre is great at depicting strong female characters, and Bell is no exception. I also loved to see a female villain that, as terrible as she was, had a believable justification for being that way.

Double Down picks up right where Even Money left off . . . . and I could not have been more excited to be thrown back in to this story!

Readers find themselves right back at the scene of Gwen’s murder with Dario needing to figure out both how to keep Bell safe and bring down Robert Hawk for calling the hit that mistakenly killed his own daughter. From there, Alessandra Torre weaves a tale of love and suspense that takes us on a journey full of so many twists and turns, you’ll wonder how there can ever be a happy ever after for this couple!

Bell and Dario’s love and commitment is constantly put to the test in this book as they are left dealing with the aftermath of Gwen’s death, the evil Robert Hawk and his unexpected accomplice and a threat to their lives that just doesn’t seem to quit. Both wracked with guilt, Dario feels a compulsive need to keep Bell safe at any cost and Bell, while understanding of his fears also feels the need to maintain her independence (remember, she is a bit of a commitment phobe!). It’s a delicate balance emotionally, but physically the sparks continue to fly as Dario works with the LVPD and FBI to bring his father in law to justice while also protecting Bell from the world he has brought her in to.

Their love for one another is never a question, but whether or not they will both make it out of this alive and together most definitely is!

I loved that Rick and Lance were both integral parts of this book and I was completely intrigued by new character, Laurent . . . gotta love an alpha male Cajun!

I can’t say much about the plot without giving away the amazing storyline, which I refuse to do. Let’s just say it is pulse pounding suspense. Every time I thought I knew what would happen, a new little twist appeared adding to the insanity that became Bell and Dario’s very existence! I also enjoyed that the author chose to tell this book from multiple POVs as it really added to the depth, and at times, desperation of the story . . . especially when hearing things from the killer’s perspective!

5 Stars for Double Down and for the duet. All In was truly an amazing duet that gives readers a beautiful love story about two characters that never should have found one another, super steamy sex and pulse pounding suspense and intrigue! Take a gamble and snap these books up now!

Well, we were "All In" with Even Money but Double Down sounds like a chance that could make or break...and it does.

The intense ending of All In leaves you wondering what's in store for this couple. Double Down will answer almost all of them. But it's not a smooth road, there are plenty of obstacles, lots of danger, and insecurities.

You will be on edge while you try to catch up with the action. It's definitely a suspenseful ride. Questions will arise. Doubts will fog your thoughts. In the end, you have to believe...

I love this series. It is a fun and sexy read. If you've never read a Torre book this is a good one to start with!

I loved the first book, but this one did not live up to the hype of the 1st book.. it felt flat.. too much sex going on and not a lot of story.. also too many POV's going on for my taste

Alessandra Torre really knows how to capture my full attention with her suspenseful books.

If you thought Even Money was one thrilling ride, then you haven't seen nothing yet!

Dario and Bell have many obstacles they need to get through and that's still to be seen if they can even fix all the bad that revolves around them in order to be able to get their happily ever after.

I can guarantee you that this duet will definitely have you on your toes and make you keep double guessing what's going on. I love the way Alessandra Torre always weaves her suspenseful stories that will keep you completely at the tip of your toes.

You definitely want to pick up this duet

3.75 stars--DOUBLE DOWN is the second instalment in Alessandra Torre’s contemporary, adult ALL IN romantic suspense duet focusing on thirty-seven year old, Las Vegas billionaire and multiple casino owner Dario Capece, and twenty-two year old, college student /cocktail waitress Bell Hartley. DOUBLE DOWN should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately following the events and cliff hanger of book one EVEN MONEY.

Told from first person point of view (Bell Hartley), and several third person perspectives including Dario Capece DOUBLE DOWN follows in the aftermath of a tragedy that all but destroys Dario’s life. With Bell in hiding, Dario is forced to face his demons including the man he holds responsible for all that has happened, and possibly more. An ensuing investigation begins to point fingers in only one direction but a direction that could quickly bounce back to our story line hero. The relationship between Bell and Dario takes a backseat as a plan is put into motion to expose the truth, a truth that becomes more volatile with every reveal.

From murdered and missing girls, to a vendetta aimed at destroying them all, DOUBLE DOWN focuses on the take down of a man so corrupt that his remaining family vows vengeance against those perceived to be in the wrong. Just when their lives begin to settle down, the vendetta reaches another crisis point, and Bell becomes fodder for revenge against years of abuse and betrayal.

DOUBLE DOWN is a story of romance and love, and of one man who has found his happily ever after only to have it quickly pulled in the blink of an eye. The investigation and take down are quick; a number of details are behind the scenes and mostly implied; the conflict resolutions are questionable and without much fanfare or exposure. Overall, DOUBLE DOWN is an entertaining and engaging story but the rush to the finish, and open-ended conclusion left me a little unfulfilled. Alessandra Torre’s ALL IN duet is a dramatic and intense series that will captivate your attention until the very end.

I don't have a clue what just happened!!!!!! Wtf like.

I swear those books took me to a different planet for a few hours.

So without giving anything away I shall dig and try to make sense of my thoughts.

The conclusion to Even Money is nothing short of brilliance. Its not how I thought it would be but it does not disappoint. It takes a special kind of talent to keep the suspense going and the tension raw even when the ball drops and truths are told. The climactic build up sets the pace of the story keeping you on your toes, emotions are high and secrets and lies come to life. As the story unfolds the plot thickens!. Twists and turns around every corner and deceit everywhere. It's exhilarating, frustrating, tantalisingly teasing and so suspenseful.

The characters for the most part are brilliant. I really enjoyed the real rawness and vulnerability they displayed despite being pretty badass it made them more relatable. I feel like they matched perfectly and whilst both having their own shit to deal with made eachother stronger despite the events that led to their HEA. Dario is the big badass vegas king with a sweetness that'll make your ovaries sing. There was a time or two I felt he needed to reassure Bell and he didn't but I mean they can't all be perfect right?. He is pretty damn close though a despite his broken past he wasn't that typical too over bearing alpha ass who goes to far. He had enough dominance for it to be hot yet didn't push his luck with the demands. Bell was a great heroine!. A fiesty little spit fire who didn't take shit lying down and stood her ground when it came to her choices. Again she has a traumatic past but it didn't define her, she was strong and sweet. I loved her for Dario, she had the backbone to stand up to him but also loved him despite his faults and maybe her own fears. She to had moments of insecuritie that irked me a little but over all and considering the circumstances I think she handled herself well and was a pleasure to read.

The chemistry holy hell the sexual tension is out of this world. The build up will have you panting for reprieve. They just fit and made sense. They flowed well together through the story. And despite all that happened came out on top. Definitely a favourite couple of 2018 so far for me.

I won't say it's a perfect story because I do think for me personally the ending was rushed. I feel like I didn't get enough of them together and some issues in the relationship were not clearly resolved which leads me to think there would be problems down the line. I also feel like the "bad persons" conclusion was brushed over a little without answering questions that I felt needed to be known and it also leaves you with more because of what was said by that person after they were caught.
I am not sure if there is another book coming for them but a duet generally means two so I'm guessing not that's why I'm staying that^.

With that being said I did love books and think they are fantastically written. It's a rollercoaster of emotions that suck you in from the first page. I felt everything, connected to the characters and rooted for their happiness. Despite my gripe about the ending I loved it and would recommend and read these stories again!.

I kindly received this ARC from the publisher via netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

******* Spoiler Warning – Don’t read this review if you have not read Even Money ***********

"Would Dario eventually associate loving me with tragedy?"

Double Down is the conclusion of the All In Duet series. You must read Even Money first. Even Money focused on Dario and Bell’s relationship. How they got to know one another. As they both tried to deal with intense, crazy feelings for each other, otherwise known as love. Even Money left me on the edge of my seat! I was blown away when Gwenn was killed. What will happen to Bell? And Dario’s reaction… I thought, where can all of this lead?

"It was too much to take. The guilt. The insecurity. The jealousy."

Alessandra Torres takes us on a wild and thrilling ride full of suspense and sex! Danger is everywhere. Not everyone can be trusted! Bell and Dario are navigating waters that are new to both of them. Dario never gives up on Bell, even though being in love is new to him.

"It was raw. It was primal. It was punishment and a salve, all at once."

Double Down was absolutely a page turner! The mystery, intrigue and suspense was insane! Add the alpha-male sexiness that is Dario and it is explosive and sexy! The twists and turns kept me guessing.

"I wanted him. I wanted his love. His time. His attention. Nothing else."

Robert Hawk was pure evil! And then, there was the wild card – Claudia. She is a whole other kind of crazy! So focused, almost impossible to stop. Her thinking and reasoning was both evil and genius.  Was it nature or nurture…?

There are still so many possibilities with this duet. There are great secondary characters that I am sure would have amazing stories as well.

DNF @ 45%

I'm really sad that I couldn't push through. The first book was sort of rocky for me also, but the ending was great and I loved the intensity. I didn't wait long to start Double Down, but it still felt like so much of the excitement was missing when picking this one up. It started off good, but then a lot of the issues raised in the first one seemed to resolve themselves so easily in the beginning of the second one. I got really bored. And remove all of the excitement and drama, and I still didn't understand the chemistry and attraction between the main characters. I didn't feel the love at all.

I do have to say, this is a completely odd reaction for me to have to Alessandra Torre. I love her books and I normally think the emotions in her books are very palpable. I think this duet just wasn't meant for me. If you're a Torre fan, go ahead and give it a try, it may just be me.
