Before I get into my review.... let me say that I really do not understand why Even Money and Double Down were published as a duet. Neither book is very long and Double Down begins at basically what would be the halfway point of the overall story.
I should also note that this review is more for the over all tale than just the portion that is Double Down as this book does not stand in its own and I truly believe both portions would have been stronger had they been published as one work.
I enjoyed the complicated layers to this story and the intrigue element. I found myself likening Bell, Dario, and the secondary cast even as I wished for more in terms of emotional growth and a deeper dive into who they were as people.
This is well written and most of my issues/concerns with this duet probably fall under personal preference, so I don’t dive too deep into them. The Even Money/Double Down set is definitely entertaining and overall is worth reading. As I read an advanced copy, I struggle with recommending the books depending on the price point of the published editions. Both books really need to be read for either to work well, so please take that into consideration. I will say that the story here left me wanting more. Not only would I like to know where Bell and Dario finally end up, I would like to know more about several of the secondary characters.

This is the fervently awaited conclusion to EVEN MONEY.
After the cliffhanger in Even Money I couldn’t wait to read what was going to happen next. And the author didn’t disappoint at all.
Double Down was by far more suspenseful than even I could have imagined. Even though the romance took a back seat in the first half to the book, the events that were unraveling in front of me kept me turning pages with anticipation and giddiness. I was witness to a story that had twists and turns on every corner. It kept me guessing and sitting on the edge of my seat throughout the entire length of the book. More than once, I sat gobsmacked and fascinated by the events unfolding in front of me.
This was certainly one fascinating and captivating ending. With her usual signature style, the author wrapped up almost all loose ends with a very satisfying finish.
All I can say is this, if you love a great sexy tale of a forbidden romance, with an amazingly complex and suspenseful plot, you need to give this duet a chance. The author’s superb writing, and storytelling should not to be missed.

So flipping good!
This was an action packed, dark, twisty, and shocking conclusion to the All in Duet. This story picks up right where the first book left us and doesn’t stop until the last page. This story was intense, original, and kept me hooked the entire time. Definitely one of my top favorite duets of the year and all time.
I absolutely love all of the different perspectives we get in this series. The detail and connections it adds makes the story unique and gripping. I get more and more addicted to Torre’s writing every time I read one of her stories. I love when she writes romantic suspense and hope for more of it soon!
I can only hope we get a movie or a TV show based on this duet. The action, characters, and story is perfect for on screen! I also hope we get some stories for some of the secondary characters in this series, especially Rick and Lance. I feel as if we could get some other books in this world as there were a couple of loose ends left open. It did not deter me from loving this book and giving it all the stars.
A girl can only hope for all of the above to happen!
Read this duet! If you love forbidden romances with suspense, danger, twists, and turns, you can’t miss this amazing story!

Ambivalent. About this book. Which means I neither loved it but I didn't hate it either. It was, as was book one, just not up to snuff with what Ms Torre has brought us in the past.
Despite the twists and turns, things didn't grab me and hold my attention as a reader. I wasn't flipping the pages to see what was coming next. The thing that made my life worth living is this one was Laurent. I'd love to see more of that guy! The rest was just lagniappe.
It's a fast, easy, predictable read. I miss the old days.

What a great conclusion to the duet! This one picks up right where Even Money leaves off. Tension is high as Bell and Dario race against the villains that have set out to destroy them There are several twists and turns, some expected, some not so much. All of the uncertainty of their future leaves Bell feeling worried and a bit insecure but it’s Dario’s indomitable love that steadies her through it all.
This book is in constant motion even when Bell is stuck in one place. Something new is always developing and these charcters are forced to life a live they have not chosen. I loved that Dario’s protective alpha tendencies reign supreme here and that Bell is able to relent to his control in order to bring him peace. She always has a moment of resistance but her care of him helps her to choose his peace of mind over her own desires.
There is plenty of action here, lots of steamy goodness, intense moments of suspense and a villain that is unlike that I’ve read before. The secondary characters were necessary and helped the hero and heroine when they needed additional support and I enjoyed each one of them.
Overall, this was a wonderful story that kept me on the edge of my seat as I waded through the murky waters of this couple’s journey. I would’ve liked a further into the future epilogue and I wonder if that wasn’t intentional and that we might see more from some of these characters further down the road.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Select Publishing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the conclusion to the All In Duet I couldn’t wait to carry on the story after the way the first book ended. Double Down is full of suspense and twists which I loved. Although I feel like I need more as I still have a nagging question of ‘what if’ looming over my head. I’d love to find out what becomes of a certain character. I’d love more!
Double Down has some scorchingly hot scenes and quite a bit of action. If you like mystery and suspense with the bonus of naughty scenes this ones for you! Four stars!

Well Ms. Torre may have given us the mother of all cliffhangers in Even Money but she sure gave us one hell of a ride with the conclusion of the All In Duet.
Double Down picks up right where Even Money left off and boy the twist and turns in this one make for one fantastic read.
Once the dust settles Dario and Bell think the worst is behind them but there is an evil force at work that they don't see coming. They will have to wade through some seriously scary and messed up stuff to get to their HEA. Will the dead stay dead or will they come back to haunt them?
We get a nice ending wrapped up in a neat little bow but one of those strings is left blowing in the wind so that if Ms. Torre wishes to revisit this storyline she could easily do so.

What a fantastic end to the duet! Alessandra writes captivating stories with characters who have undeniable chemistry, which is exactly what you get in this series. It also has the suspense and intrigue that will keep you glued to the pages until the very end. I loved how everything came together in this one, especially in how it ended in book one. Everything wrapped up almost perfectly! I will say though that I can picture more from the characters. Is the end? Maybe. But if she decides to continue on in the series I wouldn't hesitate to buy!

This is the second and final book of this duet. I do recommend reading them in order. Bell and Dario’s story continues with plenty of drama and suspense. The chemistry is steamy and the story has plenty of drama and suspense. A good read.

Don’t read this one until you’ve finished Even Money as this one picks up the exact moment it ends. You will fall in love with this duet just as much as I did.
Bell can’t believe her misfortune, how in only a month has her life begun to unravel? Walking up those stairs to Dario was a turning point in her life but now that she set sail on that boat - she has to wait for it to return home. Life is only going to get worse before it gets better, but she just needs to ride out the waves to come out on the other side.
Dario always has a plan, except when he doesn’t know what direction the hit is coming from. This final installment will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering how everything will work out in the end. It is a long way to the finish line, so buckle up and hold on tight as this book is one awesome, wild ride.
I was gifted an ecopy of this book from Select Publishing through NetGalley for an honest review.

I LOVED this Duet and DOUBLE DOWN left me reeling for me! The first book in this duet, EVEN MONEY, is such a great first book setting up the forbidden romance and leaving you with hoping for a happily ever after for Dario & Belle. Double Down begins right where that EPIC cliffhanger leaves you and I am so grateful that we didn't have to wait too long for the concluding book.
The ending is still killing me with leaving one thing left open... Don't take the as a reason to not read this duet because you WILL LOVE Dario & Belle's story its just perhaps an epilogue or short story for these characters would be nice, PLEASE ALESSANDRA????? Double Down gives you more feeling for Dario & Belle and looking forward to seeing their relationship play out. I would say this book has way more suspense than a steamy romance novel. Its such an ADDICTIVE DUET that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! And if these are you first books by this author definitely check out MOONSHOT!

Finally! The conclusion to the All In Duet is everything I could have wanted. The author, Alessandra Torre is an amazing writer. Her stories can completely transport you right into the book’s pages. I’m always so happy when an Alessandra Torre book goes live. There’s no one like her that can write a romantic suspense story. Dario and Bell were incredible! This duet was like watching a drama on tv. You could feel all the tension and suspense. The storyline was perfect and captivating! I was extremely pleases with the sex scenes… they were scorchin! Dario and Bell had some super hot chemistry! I’m looking forward to what Ms. Torre gives us next.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Can I tell you how much I needed this conclusion after the cliffie from Even Money?? Thankfully there wasn't a long wait.
So yes, you do need to read book 1 first because you won't understand the events of book 2. This picks up right at the end of book 1 - I'm not being that girl and telling you what happens! But stuff happens at the end of book 1 that continue in book 2.
This story kept me entertained! I couldn't tear myself away - except when I passed out on my kindle because it was 1:30am. This duet is a little bit darker but still just as hot and suspenseful and good as if it was a movie.
ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a ride!
WARNING: You must read the first book before diving into this one otherwise you will be lost and the story will be spoiled.
And I am blown away... again!
Author Alessandra Torre did it again with this Duet by giving us such a intense, suspenseful and twisted story of romance.
You will think you know what is going to happen and you will be wrong.
I loved how the story is told from multiple points of view. As a reader, I felt the story gave us a perfect combination of emotions and actions from each of the main characters.
Well rounded story that gave an ending that will not be forgotten.

5 Cherries Popped

So this is going to be one of those reviews that are really hard to write, but let's try.
After finished reading Even Money, I kid you not, I was desperate to read Double Down, that ending left me breathless so the moment it hit my kindle I dived into it. Unfortunately for me, it was not what I was expecting.
The intensity from the first book got lost somewhere between Louisiana and Las Vegas, meaning that I didn't get that heart-pounding feeling I got while reading Even Money. This book felt rushed, therefore unfinished. Sorry, but I didn't get the HEA vibes with this couple. There were a lot of missing points here, and there was some particular scene where I was like ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? THAT EASY?. After that, I knew right away to where the author was going, and let's say I was not happy. The thing was a little bit predictable.
It's hard to keep a reader focus on the main couple when the author delivers another character that totally steals the show. Laurent, baby, I will go to church with you. He needs his own book. All that cajun twang had me salivating for more!
Three days later, and I'm still in shock. I can't believe I went from I need the next book like I need the air I breathe, to WTF is going on here, and why is not Laurent the hero? Gawd, I'm frustrated.
Putting aside my ranty review, I have to say that Alessandra Torre's writing was in a way, captivating. But sadly, Double Down didn’t hook me in like I had hoped but that does not mean it won't hook YOU, so read it and let's talk about it later.

This is the second and I think last book of Dario and Bell, it was ok the big conflict in book one ends really quick so I was wondering where she was going with the story?! Like I said it was good, worth reading just not like to die for great!!! Lol but it's a nice moving story alot of action, intense moments, kinda low steam, but an ok read! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

3.5 “Love me through the cracks.” Stars
I enjoyed this duet. I enjoyed book one, Even Money. I really enjoyed the suspense and side characters in Double Down that much more. I feel like Dario and Bell’s relationship was able to shine a bit more in this book. It was less sexy forbidden and more passionate and emotional. It was suspenseful, and wrapped up this tumultuous love story with a nice little bow. However, the bow may have been a little too bright pink for my taste, and some of the ends a little loose. I enjoyed the entire story, but did feel the ending wasn’t what I was expecting. It’d be nice to have an extended epilogue with some wrap ups for some of the side characters, and one major loose end. Other than that it was good. The ending wasn’t terrible... and I wouldn’t let it dissuade you from reading this book. I just want MORE. Do you think begging would work with this author?
All in all a great duet. If you’re looking for forbidden romance and suspense. THIS is an excellent read. It reads sort of like watching a sitcom. Layers slowly peeled back through the chapters and POV’s.

Great conclusion to this duology! The best thing about this book was that even though the male hero was alpha, he listened to his partner and her input was important to him. She was no pushover, and this made the give and take of these characters fantastic! Highly recommend!

This book can only be read after reading Even Money (All in Duet #1).
After the cliffy from Even Money, I wanted to toss my kindle! Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait too long to get the conclusion. Picking up right where we left off, let the fun begin!!
I had no idea how this book would pan out. With the evil father, the possibilities were endless.
However, I felt the story after the first major event was pretty predictable. I figured it out and sailed right through reading without any surprises.
We are left with a pretty open book. An ending, yes… But one that could possibly bring us more sometime down the road.
One character that stood out to me was Laurent. Would enjoy reading more about his background and where he is now. His sister though, she scared me! LOL.
All in all, the duet was a good read.

Alessandra is a master at writing engrossing romantic suspense and here too in the conclusion of the Duet, she mesmerizes you with a riveting read. The book has all the ingredients to make a fine erotic dish with splashes of intrigue, hot boiling sex, sizzling passion and heart tugging sweet emotions. Throw in some murders and voila...you have a perfectly embellished book.
It starts where EVEN MONEY left off, on a cliffy. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how Dario will be able to explain what he said in the end. But Alessandra turns the story on a dime and the trajectory this part of the story takes, just throws everything up in the air. The odds stack against Dario & Bell, yet they dig in their heels and persist, hold hands and hold out, I believe that's what the title means.
I just loved reading Robert Hawk going through a gamut of emotions. Sarcasm to smugness to shock to anger to rage to denial to disbelief and then fury. Just desserts and all !!
He's such a powerful man rendered helpless
A close friend of the governor and a major contributor to his re-election fund. Hell, Hawk had sponsored the police department’s Christmas dinner this year, in addition to his generous annual scholarship program for law enforcement children.
This book also brings to light the depth of Dario and Bell's relationship. What started as intense attraction morphs into true love and as is with all true loves their bonds are tested continuously. They've everything thrown at them. There's cops, there's FBI, there's Robert, there's their families, their friends, and a person out to kill them. All this and they find time to have scorching hot sex !
A page turner no doubt and improbable, fast paced read. Once you start you won't be able to walk away till you hit THE END.
