This was a good read. The perspective it was written from was interesting and very different. It ends with you was an enjoyable story.

Wright uses the devices of technology: texts, blogs, diaries...and largely teenage voices to reveal the perspectives of a group of teens after the death of one of the group. The concept is great but the execution is a great disappointment.
It may well work as a text for teens as this is the dominant voice but the plot is convoluted and unsatisfactory, even irritating, as the teens try to solve and yet also confuse the murder trail. They are unconvincing voices, immature and spoilt teenagers, cliched in many ways.
Writing a book is an achievement but this one needs serious editing. I am still not sure how the title is supposed to work nor if there is an "end" of any kind in sight. Bother, bother, bother.

"If I'd told the truth, it would have been fiction..."

Everyone loves Eva. Beautiful, bright, fun, generous - she's perfect.

So when her dead body is found in a ditch in the local woods the only thing anyone wants to know is: Who could have done this?

It has to be Luke, her boyfriend. He has the motive, the means, the opportunity and he's no stranger to the police.

Even though the picture is incomplete, the pieces fit. But as time passes, stories change.

This is a clever book because it's told from six narrative strands and the author doesn't seem to slip up at all! Each narrative travels seamlessly into the next whilst we are also indulged with snippets from Eva's diary...or are we... The questions you have throughout this book will still be there at the end!

At times I felt like some of the narratives were immature and childish in their language and attitudes. It frustrated me until I realised that it was exactly what was supposed to happen... the narratives were true to each character, giving a little or a lot through varied expression and linguistics. At times though the characters were a bit weak and lacking in depth. This is marketed as a Young Adult Thriller - I don't think that should put off the 'older adults' though as it's a book that can grip anyone.

The final chapter though... I don't know. It didn't sit right with me. It was rushed, and it left me with more questions. Perhaps there's room for book two...

The author appears to have an empty back catalogue.. that's because she's published under her real name previously (Sam Mills) - and has had three young adult novels one of which is being adapted for film!

It Ends With You is a crime drama set in contemporary south London. A student is found murdered after a sixth form party and her boyfriend is named as the prime suspect. A realistic look at teenage life, this has an unlikely twist at the end

I really enjoyed the whole concept of this book, including text messages. I also think that the intractability of the teenage group was very realistic. But for me, the ending was unsatisfactory, which is my bad, because the book was so believable, that the ending was absolutely right to keep the credibility of the story intact. I'm just old fashioned I guess! An excellent story, brilliantly executed.

This was an enjoyable mystery. I really liked the split narrative, as it was interesting to delve into the different characters’ stories. There were plenty of suspects and different perspectives on what happened. I predicted the ending quite early on but overall this was a compelling, intriguing read.

This is another book that just proves how lucky today's current YA readers are. For heaven's sake when I was that age, sometime around the Devonian era, YA wasn't even a thing. We got Sweet Valley High and Sweet Dreams! Well actually I loved them but God if we'd had the range available now? Well I'd have been in seventh heaven. So, anyway this is a whodunit for Generation Z, where social media and kids habits of filming everything and blogging or vlogging everything else plays a large part. Despite it been aimed at that generation I found it very enjoyable if a wee bit predictable. The end surprised me in some ways, without trying to be too spoilerish I expected it to be far neater, not so abrupt. It did make me wonder though if this actually was the end? All in all a decent read which I'd recommend to the young and young at heart mystery fan.

This is a decent teen thriller that will keep you entertained throughout. Some elements of the plot are a little far fetched and unrealistic, however overall it’s an enjoyable read.

‘It Ends With You’ follows the events of those closest to popular school girl, Eva, after her body is discovered in the local woods with fatal stab wounds. All fingers point to bad-boy boyfriend, Luke, who has the motive, means and opportunity to carry out the murder. He claims he’s not guilty, but who else is there?

I first requested this book on Netgalley late last year, it waiting patiently on my Kindle until now when I finally had the chance to pick it up. From the blurb alone, I’d hoped it would be the darker YA Thriller I wished many of the other popular titles would have been and needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed.

‘It Ends With You’ is the fast-paced, gripping mystery of my dreams. Countless of popular Young Adult titles explore the thriller genre, but many lack the gritty brutality of modern crime. This book glosses over nothing. The writing within is honest, brutal and descriptive, exploring the crime and mindset of the perpetrator in detail. Although, the characters are teens, their narratives aren’t shielded from gruesome content in the slightest.
With around eighty short chapters in total, the story moves at a grippingly fast pace, keeping you invested in the mystery to the abrupt ending. Although, the open ending was a little disappointing, feeling unfulfilled once completing the book, the overall mysterious aura the book emits remains.

However, the characters were lacking throughout the story. Although, one of the main devices used throughout this book was the fact that none of the narrators were reliable, that did cause a distance between the readers and them. There was nothing admirable about any of them, each having a quality that you just couldn’t invest in. As a reader, I love being able to connect and relate to my characters, yet by the time you reach the end of the story you still find yourself with more questions than answers; you still know nothing about any of them.

Overall, I deeply enjoyed this book. It’s a lot darker than most popular YA Thrillers at the moment, and I found myself compelled to continue reading until I finished it.

entertaining teen thriller. I enjoyed that the teens were realistically dumb and self-absorbed, and not strategic geniuses. Some of the plot points were odd though, with the trial scenes having distinctly weird timings, and the gun.... UK cops don't have guns as a matter of course...

An accurate yet gripping murder mystery.

Everyone loves Eva, she’s beautiful, bright, fun, generous - she's perfect. So, when her body is found in a ditch in the local woods the only thing anyone wants to know is: Who could have done this? It has to be Luke, her boyfriend. He has the motive, the means, the opportunity and he's no stranger to the police. Even though the picture is incomplete, the pieces fit. But as time passes, stories change.

This novel had so many twists and turns that every time I made my mind up about a character a new piece of information would shatter everything that I’d already worked out. I felt as though for a teen thriller Wright really depicted how likely the characters were to not tell the truth in order to protect themselves yet how they’d change their minds and tell half of the truth when they were scared. For me, that made it a very realistic read which kept me wanting to know more.

I would have liked to have had more depth into the characters in order to develop more of a relationship, however, this was effective in making the crime more interesting as you based opinions on the evidence as it developed.

I thoroughly enjoyed following each person’s narrative and stories as the story unfolded. I would recommend it to anyone who’s after a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The first thing to point out about this book is that it is told from multiple points of view. I mention this first as usually it is something I find distracting and annoying, however this book and story it fitted and actually gave more depth to the story.

It Ends With You is a great story about the search for a murderer. Naturally you have your instinct who did it, you 'go with your gut'. Then it twists and twists again. Is it him? Or her? Who? This story has you suspecting everyone and trusting none of the characters.
The characters are great. They have this stories, their alibis and their tells. They feel tangible, as does the story. The writing is fast paced and pulls you along.

This would be a great drama series. A must see Sunday night viewing to talk about on Monday morning.
Grab this book when you don't have anything planned because you wont be able to put it down. Binge read this!

Thanks to Netgalley and ATOM for the chance to read and review this book.

This was a psychological thriller with lots of fake leads and premises. You need to keep your wits about you with this one.

Pretty little liars meets 13 minutes meets one of us is lying. This book has me hooked from the first page to the last. Fantastic YA thriller that keeps you guessing and gasping with shock until the last page. A must read!

I am currently working on expanding our school library's senior section after years of a dismal and uninspiring selection of books that our older readers never checked out. My job has been to seek out much more diverse, gripping and modern books that will get them into reading by appealing to as broad a range of readers as possible. This really appealed to me because of its fantastic narrative and sense of atmosphere, combined with believable characterisation and its page-turning nature. It's hard to get young people into reading and if the library is not stocking the kind of book that they might grow up to buy as adult readers then we are not really meeting their needs. I can imagine this provoking lots of discussion after finishing it and a long queue of people trying to reserve it as they've heard so much about it. Will definitely be buying a copy and know that it's going to be a very popular choice. An engrossing read that kept me up far too late to finish reading it. It certainly stood out from the other books that I was considering and I will be looking out for more from S.K Wright in the future!

A fun, clever little YA thriller with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing, right until the end. The cast of characters felt like believable teenagers, even if their actions felt a bit predictable at times. I was a bit frustrated by the ending, but it also felt suitably surprising (which sounds like a contradiction, but it's not - honest!)

I read this over the summer on a beach and it made the perfect 'lounging on a deckchair' read - the kind of book you can pick up and read straight through to the end in one lovely sitting.

Not the most unique plot but I enjoyed it regardless. An easy read with a fast pace and a satisfying conclusion.

Compelling with just enough red herrings to keep you guessing, It Ends With You is an easy read that will have you questioning everything until the final, thrilling page.

Eva is the popular girl in school - beautiful, clever and twist everybody around her finger. Then she spots bad boy Luke and decides to live dangerously so starts flirting until he asks her out. The relationship has its difficulties - particularly when Eve starts to get bored but then Eve disappears and is found dead in a pit a few days later.
The story unfolds from the perspective of each character - did Luke kill Eve or was somebody else responsible.
A steady paced story of obsessive love, confusion, loyalty and betrayal as the events of that fateful day unfold.

A bit predictable in parts and the actions of some of the characters are a little unbelievable but in all a good read.

I loved how this was told through a number of characters, as well as social media. Part crime part thriller part suspense- a fantastic whodunnit!
