I couldnt put this book down until i finished it and it was a very easy read. However, I felt this book was written for a younger audience than myself and would feel that it is perfect for my teen. The writing was short and even though the characters were developed well I didn't feel any emotional connection with them. On saying that the plot had lots of twists and I was intrigued to know who did It?
This is a light read, good plot which keeps you engaged and overall I enjoyed it very much.

While I appreciate that there is a certain amount of suspension of belief needed for thriller/crime fiction, this felt one step too far. Some things were far beyond what happens in real life when a crime has been committed.
Over all I wasn't a big fan of this book, and I probably won't be in a hurry to read another by the same author if I am honest.
However I think a much younger audience would appreciate this a lot more than I did.

Thriller Book- This is a book you will be hooked on from the first page. This book makes you think and keeps you guessing.
Thank you to Little Brown Book Group UK for giving me an opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest unbiased review

Strong, addictive mystery for the YA audience. Filled with outstanding twists and well-developed characters. I could not put this one down! Highly recommended to readers who enjoy young adult mysteries.

This book was very, very good. The story follows Luke primarily, Eva's boyfriend, and Carolina, her secret friend as they both get involved in the investigation. I felt that while I couldn't relate much to Eva, most of the other characters were fully rounded out and were the reason why I liked this so much. Luke is angry and volatile at times and yet, I felt a certain sympathy for him even as we found out more of what actually happened.
The investigation that is the focus of the book unfolded nicely in my opinion, with enough information trickling in to keep the reader hooked.
I will say though, that I wasn't satisfied once I knew exactly what had happened. I thought it was too manufactured after hearing bits and pieces of Luke's memory. I still really enjoyed this though and I would read it again.

With the craze of teen tv shows at the minute this book would fit in perfectly. Narrated by different character this book tells a mystery of what happened to Eva after she was found dead in the wood after a new years eve party. I really liked the character of Luke, down on his luck, scruffy and always fighting. it was easy from the start that this character was going to get flack for being different to the other privilege teens.
While I enjoyed the twists and turns keeping me on my toes I didn't think this book was very unique, when looking at what else is out there for YA. How this said it was brilliant to read how wealth and privileges also can bring strong lies and secret into a fast paced plot.

A very intriguing read, not easy to put down once picked up, kept you guessing until the end and to be honest , I'm not sure it answered everything for me even after I'd finished it.
If you are a fan of 13 reasons why, then this is a read for you

A riveting thriller. A young girl is discovered murdered after a new year party. This book is told through different characters each saying it how they see it each having their own chapters. I enjoyed reading this and would recommend it.

What an ending.... I'm convinced of Luke's innocence and I want to shake som sense into everyone in this book. Love the story filled with mystery, lies and deviance. Is it really so easy to get convicted for a crime? Luke is barely 18 years old and, yes, he has a problem with his temper. But what about all the other persons involved? I would love if there was a second book about Luke and this murder. Answering all questions, finding out who's the real killer. I also, really liked how the story is told. Blog entries, text messages and the alternating pov made for an interesting read and made this a page turner I highly recommend.
I chose to read this book and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. Thanks to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK!

Not my favourite read I’m afraid. I didn’t take any delight in any of the characters and there were far too many new pieces of information being thrown around.

An enigmatic novel which begins with the discovery of a body and continues with the investigation during which we find out – from several points of view – what the back story is.
Eva comes from a wealthy family, is a popular teenager and is a high achiever at school, so when her body is found in the woods the shock is widespread throughout the community. As the investigation begins, her friends are questioned by the police – but are their replies honest or is there an agenda at play? Tasked with finding out is DI Jackson and, with a teenage daughter of his own who is a contemporary of the group of young adults who had Eva within their circle, he is under tremendous pressure from the powers that be to bring about a swift resolution to this case.
First thing that struck me about this book is that the 16, 17 and 18 year olds have more freedom and more cash to spend than any teenagers of my acquaintance, and it’s evident that they are far more skilled in spinning untruths than I’ve ever been! This is a real eye-opener to the life of wealth and privilege and how adept the recipients of such a lifestyle are at lying and covering their tracks. However, the truth will out and this is a riveting read which has no problem in holding the reader’s attention. There are questions arising from the very beginning, and answers peppered all the way through – but are they the right answers – the honest ones? There’s only one way to find out – read the book!
I enjoyed this one immensely. The writing pulled me into the story and kept me there, from the first page to the last. Without doubt, this is a thrilling read and one which I’ve pondered on ever since. The only thing which I wasn’t keen on was the ambiguous ending – I like my fiction firmly finished off and tied up with a big bow leaving no room for doubt. I may try to convince myself it was obvious what happened next – but was it or was it just wishful thinking on my part? I’m still happy to have read it though!
My thanks to publisher Little, Brown Book Group for my copy via NetGalley. This is my honest, original and unbiased review.

I took a while to really get going with this book, but it certainly was an interesting look at secrets, lies and prejudice. The way that from the start the police are so fixated on Luke, a boy from a less well off family, with scruffy clothes and a perchance to get into fights. But as it goes on, you see that what seems to be a basic case of prejudice and profiling, may actually be being used to cover up more involvement.
Though in general, I liked the twists and turns the story came up with, there were maybe just a bit too many. Every time it seemed like we might be getting an idea of what happened, some startling new evidence came out to change everything. I liked this at first, but I really like a mystery where you can look back afterwards and see that there are clues you missed and that it all adds up and makes sense. With this one, there were new suspects added all the time and it meant that you couldn't really work out to tell who it was.
I liked the different view points though and the insight that they threw up. How we saw the investigative side with Carolina and her father and also the suspect's point of view with Luke. Then there's the opinions of the other people in Eva's life and how they react to everything. It really worked well with the allegations against Luke and showing how people's opinions get set very early on.
I don't think this is one I'd read again, but I'm glad I read it.

Enjoyed this book particularly because each character had a different point of reference or view and my mind kept changing as to what I thought had happened to Eva. I didn’t realise until after I finished the book that this was written for a YA audience. I think it. Could easily cross over to a wider market. I haven’t given 5 stars as I was confused by the ending. However a very well deserved 4 star read.

Absolutely loved this book. Compulsive reading that kept me asking questions all the way through. Aimed at a YA audience, but I’m nearly in my 40s and I was hooked!
Couldn’t recommend more highly.

It Ends With You is a young adult murder mystery centering on the discovery of the body of Eva, a beautiful and popular sixth form student. Her troubled, hot-tempered boyfriend Luke is the likely suspect. Through several narrative strands of the people who knew Eva well – or thought they knew her well – different perspectives and stories emerge, throwing doubt on Luke’s guilt.
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing throughout and I was eager to get to the end. The narrators all have distinct voices and came across as characters with depth; while they started off with strong thoughts on who was responsible for Eva’s murder, doubts crept in for all of them.
I liked the build-up of tension arising from the doubt about Luke’s part in Eva’s death. Potential clues about Luke or other suspects are discovered by different characters, and are either believed or dismissed by other characters, depending on their preconceptions of Eva and Luke. I thought this was an effective way to show that crimes and guilt are not always clear-cut and that justice cannot always prevail.
This book is a powerful exploration of the danger of prejudices, secrets, and lies.

It Ends with You by S. K. Wright was a brilliant, unputdownable thought-provoking book.
Eva is bright, popular and well-liked so when he body is found in the local woods the whole community is in shock.
Her boyfriend Luke is from the wrong side of the tracks and is the prime suspect but over time more details emerge, and you begin to wonder if someone else could have been the murderer.
I loved It Ends with You it was a fantastic book even though it isn’t necessarily my usual kind of read.
It is clear to the reader from the beginning that Eva is not a likeable person. She comes across as manipulative, mean and vain. The kind of character you are secretly pleased has been killed off.
The book begins with a video entitled ‘bad things going down in the woods’ that has been removed by the user from a video upload website.
The prologue features someone in the woods stating, ‘I hear the scream and then I turn and run.’ The unnamed person is hoping not to be seen as they leave.
Chapter 1 is written from the point of view of the main suspect Luke on a Monday morning when the police come for him whilst he is having a play fight with his friend Rob.
From the beginning it is clear that Luke is viewed in an unfavourable manner because of the marked difference in his social status compared to his peers.
“The police are watching us closely. I’m conscious of the little differences between me and Rob. Rob wears smart black shoes, while I’m in non-regulation grey trainers with holes in them: one of my laces has broken so I’ve replaced it with an elastic band.”
Luke is at his expensive fee-paying school on a scholarship and is very much an outsider whose position in the school was only legitimised by his relationship with Eva.
The 2nd Chapter is in the form of a blog named ‘The Big Bad Blog’ which is clearly written by someone with some insider knowledge of the case and fuels suspicions that Luke is the killer.
It states that Eva is ‘the star girl’ at their school but has been hanging out with the wrong kind of people recently.
My favourite character in It Ends with You is Luke. My empathy for him began when I read the section quoted below:
“It’s hard to think straight because I’m so bloody hungry. This morning I opened the bread bin to find a loaf so green with mould I couldn’t face scraping it off.”
It clearly illustrates the level of poverty he is living in, that and the fact that he had to use his paper route money to pay his younger siblings a chocolate bar to share for breakfast.
From his chapters we gain the most insight into Eva’s real personality – he tendency to want to carry out increasingly mean ‘dares’, her indecisiveness over their relationship and the volatility that existed between them at times.
His friend Rob was equally repulsive to me with his entitled attitude and his willingness to sell out his friend as long as he wasn’t implicated.
Of course, there are elements of Luke’s story that lead the reader to think that Luke could easily be the culprit – the obsessive nature of their relationship and the fact she had unsuccessfully tried to break up with him several times, his knife being found at the scene and his own admission that they had argued that night. Not to mention the fact that he and his friends are clearly hiding something but what is it?
Did Luke really kill her or are people just quick to blame him because they are prejudice against him because of his social class? You decide.

A YA thriller that really packs a punch.
Told from multiple perspectives it could be a mess, but these different voices keep us waiting for information and all shed new light on what happened.
Eve is one of the popular crowd. Beautiful, wealthy and destined for great things people are surprised when she falls for bad boy Luke. Luke is not from a wealthy family, and he has a temper - so he’s the perfect suspect when Eve’s body is discovered in the woods.
It seems from the beginning that Luke is innocent, but there are hints that keep us guessing throughout. We learn Eve is not quite as innocent as people thought, and the details of what she’s been up to were pretty shocking.
When Luke is imprisoned and put on trial for Eve’s murder there’s hints that we might not have everything as neatly wrapped up as we thought. However, the end was chilling and really made me rethink some of my earlier ideas.
This is certainly one I’ll recommend, and I must thank NetGalley for providing me with the opportunity to read this prior to publication.

A well plotted book and I enjoyed the variety of mediums -social media, diary etc- used to tell the story, and how it highlighted how far people will go for self preservation. However, I have given a four star review as I wasn't convinced that the detective would be sharing information with his daughter, and the continued comparisons between the privileged and more challenging backgrounds of the characters got grating after a while.

Really enjoyed the way the plot unfolded in this book. Very realistic but kept the reader guessing also. I haven’t read anything else from this author yet but am interested to do so now. Highly recommended
Many thanks to Netgalley and S. L. Wright for the copy of this book. I agreed to give my unbiased opinion voluntarily.

Twisted, messed up and brilliant!!!! A really intriguing crime novel where you think you know where it is going... but do you?!
