A YA thriller that really packs a punch.
Told from multiple perspectives it could be a mess, but these different voices keep us waiting for information and all shed new light on what happened.
Eve is one of the popular crowd. Beautiful, wealthy and destined for great things people are surprised when she falls for bad boy Luke. Luke is not from a wealthy family, and he has a temper - so he’s the perfect suspect when Eve’s body is discovered in the woods.
It seems from the beginning that Luke is innocent, but there are hints that keep us guessing throughout. We learn Eve is not quite as innocent as people thought, and the details of what she’s been up to were pretty shocking.
When Luke is imprisoned and put on trial for Eve’s murder there’s hints that we might not have everything as neatly wrapped up as we thought. However, the end was chilling and really made me rethink some of my earlier ideas.
This is certainly one I’ll recommend, and I must thank NetGalley for providing me with the opportunity to read this prior to publication.

A well plotted book and I enjoyed the variety of mediums -social media, diary etc- used to tell the story, and how it highlighted how far people will go for self preservation. However, I have given a four star review as I wasn't convinced that the detective would be sharing information with his daughter, and the continued comparisons between the privileged and more challenging backgrounds of the characters got grating after a while.

Really enjoyed the way the plot unfolded in this book. Very realistic but kept the reader guessing also. I haven’t read anything else from this author yet but am interested to do so now. Highly recommended

Many thanks to Netgalley and S. L. Wright for the copy of this book. I agreed to give my unbiased opinion voluntarily.

Twisted, messed up and brilliant!!!! A really intriguing crime novel where you think you know where it is going... but do you?!

Luke's girlfriend, Eva, is found dead. Everyone thinks he killed her. Eva was so popular and pretty, and Luke is from the wrong side of town, he has a temper, and he never really fit in until he started dating Eva. There are varying opinions about whether he did it or not, but detective's daughter Carolina is determined to discover the truth.

There are a few different points of view in the book, and at some point there is a chapter from almost every character. Much of the story is told from Luke's point of view, or from pages taken from Eva's diary. There is also Carolina, the geeky wannabe detective, and Siobhan, Eva's best friend who is also a strong believer in the supernatural. Everyone has different thoughts and stories about what happened the night of Rob's party, the night Eva died.

The book is perfectly written for YA readers. Most of the characters are around 17 years old, and they act and think just like teenagers. At times I thought they came across as a bit lame, but then I thought back (many years!) and realised that I was probably the same at that age. It's very well done, unless the author is a teenager too! It's absolutely chocked full of angst, silly decisions and a lack of responsibility.

I like the fact that you only find out what actually happened right at the end, and none of the characters seem to know what happened either. There is not much chance of guessing 'whodunnit' early on, which I like. Everyone keeps changing their stories and lying to the Police to get themselves or someone else out of trouble, which is probably what would happen in real life. Other than the actual murder, I found the whole thing to be quite a convincing series of events.

Whilst not entirely original, this was a good read. I read the whole thing in less than a day, as it was not very long. It was quite fast paced and kept me interested throughout. There was always some new information being uncovered or truth being admitted. I enjoyed the way the characters changed their minds, owned up to things, felt bad about what they had done or said, and generally made a very human mess of the whole situation.

This was entertaining and realistic, and a great introduction to more gritty detective dramas for young readers.

This is an easy read, structured in to small chapters and each taking the point of view of different characters. The first half of the book does well to paint a picture of the emerging scene, a dead teenager and one obvious suspect. Rumours spread and the second half hurtles towards the worst decision I could have mustered. No! Not that ending, which just seemed to pander to stereotypes. Oh well, I guess it wasn't aimed at me so maybe I misread things into it

I did enjoy this book, but I wasn't gripped by it. I liked that the story was told from multiple points of view and thought the use of social media throughout was well done.
I did worked out the killer quite quickly and was disappointed with the ending, but on the whole a good read.

Couldn't help but feel a little disappointed by the end of this book. I felt let down that it didnt give me the twist i was waiting for or was I meant to feel that i never really knew or understood what happened to Eva. Either way I was left feeling disappointed which was a shame for a book that had grabbed my attention, provided twists and turns and was well written throughout.

A complex and unusual story with with complicated characters set round a group of diverse school friends. A good story with a tricky ending.

I really like books that have the perspective from a number of people, It Ends With You, has that and alot more.
Who killed Eva? Did those who love her, secretly hate her? Or did those who hate her secretly love her?
It's not often I do half stars but I feel I have to here. FOUR AND A HALF STARS.

First of all I downloaded this book by mistake as the genre is Teens and YA and I am 63. OOPS. Anyway here goes.
The story of Eva's murder is told from many perspectives. Each character is given a chapter and their different viewpoints of the incident.
It explains how a group of people can all be in the same place at the same time and all their descriptions will have similarities and differences.
I like the way the book dealt in each chapter with each character. It was beautifully written. In fact I was pleasantly surprised. There is also a message to this book. We need think before we judge others and consider the consequences and repercussions of our actions.
I would like to thank theauthor S K Knight, Little Brown Book Group UK and Net.galley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for giving an honest review.

I'm not sure why this is a YA book. I'm a long, long way from young and I thoroughly enjoyed it! As it is written from different characters' viewpoints, and in differing formats, it allows many twists and turns. Although used to this genre, I found it far from predictable.
Highly recommended.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC

This is an interesting read. The story of Eva's murder is told from different perspectives. Different people view events and evidence different ways. It was fascinating reading different characters points of view. I was annoyed with the ending. I wanted a better conclusion to the story.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

have to say i was very intrigued with this one...each chapter told a different view point from the incident...and for the most part i enjoyed it...but found as time went on how was it possible for the daughter of a police officer able to get involved in a murder investigation.. a bit far fetched

but i enjoyed seeing how everyones viewpoint differed and how we all judge people wrongly...and how we can use this to bully people

how easily it is to manipulate people...

Well, I didn't realise this was a YA book when I first started reading it and I haven't been one of them for many, many years. Just goes to show that you should never rule yourself out of reading a book you fancy just because you are not the target audience, as I really did enjoy it.
Talented, smart and popular Eva is found dead; brutally murdered. Last seen arguing with her boyfriend Luke who immediately becomes number one suspect. DI Jackson is tasked with proving the case but are they looking in the right direction or has the real perpetrator got away with it? Told in turn by several of the main characters and including social media posts and snippets from a diary, the author spins a convoluted tale of he said / she said, secrets, lies, duplicitous behaviour, and gossip that had me turning round and about pretty much the entire time. Sadly, the way it all ended up at the conclusion of the book did leave me a little cold and I wasn't quite sure of it, although it did become easier to accept the more I thought on it. Just cos it wasn't the ending I wanted doesn't mean it was the wrong ending.
One thing that did irk me a little along the way was the way the author steered me down a certain path only to whip the rug out from under me with another snippet of held back information, causing me to promptly about face. And the gold medal for misdirection goes to...! I did find this a bit exhausting and started to mistrust everything I was being told which made me feel a bit distanced from the book overall. This also had the knock of effect that I failed to fully connect to most of the characters along the way. But, that said, it was compelling reading. I did want to cut through the noise and get to the nitty gritty of what actually happened.
All in all, a good solid book that compelled me to read on despite my misgivings and which made me think and questions things along the way. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read it.

It Ends With You is an intriguing and addictive read. The YA Thriller had me hooked from the very beginning, had me wanting more and more with each and every chapter.

The story was told in several points of view, and I love that about a novel. You build more of a story with more than one perspective. Also, the layout of the book was different from other crime novels that I had read, in my opinion, the novel appealed to me more in that specific format. It is different.

The growth of the character development was interesting as well. It seemed to prove that nobody was ever the way they seemed. You, at first, seem to think that this one character is innocent, then there's a small change of character, and you think... Is it them?

There are plenty of surprises in this novel. At first, there is a certain part of your brain that tells you that its them, and then a huge plot twist changes something in the story, and in your head. The author was smart in the layout of the story. The puzzles fit perfectly in the story.

Now, towards the end of the novel, I began to become frustrated. I don't know whether there will be a second part to the story (I hope there is), because it didn't end the way it did for me. Even though it left me wanting more, it also frustrated me the way the author ended the story. I do believe there is more to the story, so hopefully, if there is a second novel, we will find out more.

Overall, I have to say that this novel is addictive and intoxicating. It swallows you up, and then leaves you wanting more, I love that it was different, and the format and layout would definitely appeal to people who not only love crime novels, but maybe introduce new readers to the crime thriller world. I would definitely read more of this author's work, and recommend it to a friend.

I enjoyed this book however, it didn't grip me like some books do. I do understand that it is targeted at a YA audience and that could be the reason. The storyline was told over multiple people and utilised the use of social media too which was enjoyable to read.

I did have the killer worked our pretty quickly and was slightly disappointed with the ending as it seemed like things were left dangling...… could it be for a sequel?

I requested this book because the description made it seem as if it might be my sort of book, only to discover that it was written for young adults.. As a member of the grandmother generation I felt it unfair to review it.. The four star rating is based on the 15 % that I read which seemed very promising. I may well return to it in the future..

This book centres around Luke. He is at the rough boy with a bad reputation in a posh school. When his girlfriend goes missing and is subsequently found murdered Luke is the prime suspect.

I was unsure whether to read this book as I have not read many YA books that I enjoy, probably because at 46 yrs old I am not the target audience for this genre. I was intrigued by the synopsis of this one so I decided to give it a go and I am really glad that I did. This story is told from multiple points of view and makes good use of multimedia to tell the story. I had a good idea where this story was going from the beginning but I still really enjoyed the ending.
