Don't think you'll take a break while reading this because I guarantee you'll be hooked from the beginning. The style of telling the story through the thoughts of the teenage characters is a winner. The characterisation is very good and you will be fuelled with concern for the supposed culprit and outraged by the behaviour of some of the others. That is what a well written story is all about. Then wait for the ending when you will think you know the answer! This is really a very good book.

A well written book, but not for me. I struggled to connect with the characters and although they had distinctive voices, I just couldn't relate. The story is twisty, and the ending is something that will make for good discussions. Sorry I didn't enjoy it more.

I was not convinced by this book. I thought the feel of it was American college/high school rather than English sixth form, with the free and easy drug taking and attitudes to each other. The style of police investigation and the courtroom scenes also sounded American. None of the characters were very pleasant and there was a ridiculous amount of lying and covering up of evidence. Luke was convicted on very flimsy circumstantial evidence. He was ridiculously poor - no excuse for lack of shoelaces and washing!! What's wrong with Wimbledon anyway? The twists and turns were surprising and the writing was reasonably accomplished, so one star for that. However I am far from teenage/young adult myself so maybe I shouldn't judge.

I enjoyed reading this book but was left with mixed feelings about the end. The book was really well written with a clear difference between each character telling their part of the story and enough twists and turns to keep you turning the pages.

This is a gripping thriller that had me glued and sleepless very quickly as I just didn't want to put it down. Eva is a to on her class girl who's boyfriend is not from the same priverledge home rather from the opposite his house has a crashed window repaired by cereal packets. The go to a top school in Wimbledon Luke has a scholarship to enable him, his friend Eva (obviously) Rob, Rivka and Sibhan who needed no help to pay their fees.. Then there is also Carolina a major player in this thriller but not part of the in crowd well most of the time. The story starts when Eva goes missing and isn't seen after a party at Robs whilst his parents are away.
Each chapter is taken by a different character which means the story moves fast, smoothly and allows the twists to come out of no where. Not all authors can make this work to the standard that S K Wright has achieved here, Even when you think you have it sorted in your head you will not see the next turn right to the end when you will be left reeling right up to the last page. But be warned when the end comes well I can't tell you that it would be cruel.
It's hard to find a rain but to recommend this great book it has me enthralled and gripped and I hope it did you as well. Thanks NetGalley for this book this is why I love you.

I read this fast – it’s one of those books that once you start you just want to keep reading and reading until the end.
Eva is popular, has a loving if rather frowned upon boyfriend in Luke and a close knit bunch of friends. The future seems bright but even the most glowing people hide a dark side. When Eva is murdered Luke seems the obvious suspect…
It Ends With You is a cleverly woven often thought provoking thriller, with multiple voices and ever changing goal posts. The author carefully sucks you into one way of thinking then throws you a hint of a different direction, layering her characters carefully, challenging your initial assumptions then challenging your next ones. As we hear from Luke, Eva and those around them the truth won’t necessarily set you free..
The writing is wonderful, the plotting is genius and the ending might make you crazy but the whole thing is pitched perfectly first page to last. I feel that this one is going to come back and niggle at me, the social commentary within the narrative has that after affect it’s only later, looking back you see where our prejudices hit home.
A really great read all round. Huge brownie points for keeping it unpredictable, edgy yet honestly realistic.
Highly recommended.
