This book was granted to me from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

And here it is: I'm between a 1 and a half and 2 stars for this.

The plot here is brief: Our heroine's mother is part of a live action role playing group known as a "Guild." During a guild event, two members are attacked. Our heroine, her handsome ex-boyfriend cop, and friends must solve the mystery.

The idea is interesting enough but in terms of plot, characterization, and dialogue, this appears to be the work of a writer still new to his/her practice. In other words, it's rather raw and could use some reworking. If you're patient, perhaps that won't annoy you and you'll be able to see the ideas at the core of this.

(Another point in the book's favor: The author mentions the regular reappearance of a sassy little dog, presumably the Scottie on the cover. Bubbles was probably my favorite book character, so I appreciated it every time she was on the book's stage.)

A different sort of mystery. Gaming, attacks, mystery. It had me on the edge of my seat so to speak.

Well done full of suspense.

Thanks Netgalley for the ebook in exchange for an honest review

What a refreshing and quite extraordinary read and premise. So different than most murder mysteries and faith is interwoven. Nicely done. I'll be looking for more by Hembree.

The characters were very well done--each with his/her own voice, and no stepping on each other. Great editing job, too. Loved the characters--even the villains. Not overdone and very well done whodunit. Kept me guessing.

The love story is sort of different, too. We're in the middle of this one where Joe got scared of commitment then thought better of it. Sometimes it is nice not to have to go through the on again off again junk that most romances follow. Usually, I dislike the way most authors try to weave romance into mysteries or thrillers. This one is very well done. Great job, Peggy! I'll be reading more :)

Having read on of the author's other titles, I eagerly accessed this title. Written in Peggy's signature inspirational style, this well-developed mystery was a delight to read.

I want to thank the author and the Netgalley website for this partnership. I was immediately attracted by the cover: we see Haddie Curtis and Mary johnson.

The story takes place in an online game where a kid is kidnapped. In this game, Haddie and Mary are assaulted. Mary in a coma, Haddie Léa's daughter enters the game to learn more about their abuser. With his teammate Joe; Léa face six players totally obsessed with the $ 150,000 reward. They will learn a lot about these games.

A captivating thriller filled with suspense and twists. I immediately hooked on the story.

“Haddies Guild” by Peggy Ryan Hembree is an interesting mystery. It centered around the gaming world. That was a different subject area than what I’m used to, so I did enjoy something different. It caught my attention towards the beginning of the book but got a little mundane towards the middle. However, there was a huge twist that really caught my attention. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I would highly recommend this book. It is a good, clean, suspense novel.

I received this book from the publisher and NetGalley for my honest opinion.

Haddie's Guild Is a heart wrenching story about people being attacked while they are playing a game (being a gamer.) They wanted to win a prize but that wasn't the prize they were expecting. They go and try to find out who is doing all this. This is one crazy mystery. One serious mystery - one that can be for real and that is really scary. Do they find the attacker? Do they find it before they get shut up for permanently? Does GOD get his vengeance?

I received this for a fair and honest review. I am a gamer and love a mystery. This book was right up my alley. I am not sure how I would handle a lot of this happening to me. It was a good adventure and a wonderful read. It is a great mystery that ties in all the things I love. Remind me of an old mystery show I used to watch mixed with a bit of the electronic era. I loved it.
