Thank you to netgalley and penguin for letting me have a little sneak peek at Nadiyas new cookbook. I must say the introduction was just wonderful in this book and really showed Nadiyas personality!

We made the beef burgers with bacon jam and they are absolutely fabulous, definitely a dish that I will be making again. The halloumi curry has intrigued me so I feel I’ll be trying that out soon. Also that eclair roll looks pretty damn good.

Can’t wait for the release of this cookbook as I think it’s a book that I would use again and again.

I can't wait for the TV series and the fully published book to come out as the sample looks great. Nadia's frindly and personable way of speaking and writing makes you feel that a friend has come into your home or written to you personally as you engage with this book. The recipes are not only interesting and useful but come with wonderful tips and comments which make this so much more than just another recipe book. I shall be buying copies for many friends and family.

Love this sampler of Nadiya's new book - there are some delicious recipes and I have already tried the Spinach and Paneer Kati Rolls and it was divine - really easy to make (my favourite sort!) The recipes are easy to follow and there is a lovely mix of veggie and meaty ones and of course some cakes! There are lovely notes before each recipe from Nadiya . A great looking cookery book

This sample was enough to give feel for Nadiya's family friendly, home style cooking. It's tempted my to go out and buy the full book.

Nadiya's descriptions of her family just captivated me and are such a great introduction to what I'm sure will be a future classic cookbook. Her recipes are, as always, easy to follow, look and sound mouth- watering and she is so good on hints and tips. I just love everything about Nadiya!

I loved Nadiya on Great British Bake Off - I tried the sampler last year on her book British Food Adventure. I even now have that book! You know it's a good book when you go back to it, crack the spine when you've got guests coming and you want to impress, but you also want time out of the kitchen to spend with your guests too.

Now she is back with 100 other recipes (Delicious!) What a genius she is, when so many families cycle through a very small repertoire of recipes; my childhood was a never ending cycle of chilli, spaghetti Bolognese, sausage casserole and chicken dippers, I don't think I saw food that wasn't dyed red by a tin of basics tomatoes until I was 16, and only then had the popularity of the sweet potato sneaked the colour orange into the diet. Nadiya brings us a whole spectrum of delights, spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner and the snacks in between. She brings her personality and positive outlook, key ingredients to any dish. Cooking from this new book brings fragrance to breakfast - the sweat smell of cardamon excites the senses much more than some un-sweetened musli, lunch featuring smoky chipotle chilli flakes and juicy butternut squash leaves that sad old white bread sandwich curling at the corners, oh and Dinner! well, you'll have to buy the book if you want to tuck into that - and if you do, you'll be rewarded with a choux pastry desert!

Now I feel I've said too much! Outstanding book. Highly recommended.

Loved this sample of Nadiya's new book. and the way Nadiya introduced each recipe which really made the book feel that the recipes were genuinely her family favourites.
I have the ingredients for the beefburgers with bacon jam and the eclair roll coming with my shopping this week and I am really looking forward to making them.
I am always looking for inspiration for recipes and what I love about this book is that the recipes are easy to follow and the pictures are wonderfully clear.
I'm looking forward to seeing the full book when it comes out.
Many thanks to Penguin UK for my sample copy of this book via Net Galley but all my opinions are completely my own.

Oh my goodness the recipes that have been included in this are to die for!!

I loved her previous cookbook and I cannot wait to get trying the recipes out in this one. Her Smoky Spinach Shakshuka recipe sounds amazing and I have even told my mum about it!

The books is bright, brilliantly laid out and the recipes are easy to follow and the images used are mouth-watering, I just wish it came with actual samples of the food!! No hesitation in giving the book 5 stars - yummy!!!

I just have the sampler of this book, I’d love it better if it came with food tasting samplers too! There are some seriously mouthwatering recipes in here.

Full colour and easy to follow step by step.

What I love is Nadiya’s comments around the recipes and also a sneaky peek into her life.

There’s a curry recipe that I have to try. BRINGING in all the spices she calls it Fusion cooking.

And oh my goodness the back to front cheesecake has just got to be made. I could have eaten the picture.

This is definitely a cookbook I’m going to purchase for my kitchen shelf.
I can’t wait to try them out.

My sincere thanks to Penguin UK for my copy via Net Galley

This review is based on a sampler, kindly provided by the publisher via Netgalley.

I like Nadiiya's approach; she's not 'cheffy', opinionated or complex in recipes or ingredients. She's a down to earth home cook; talented, original and genuine. I really enjoy the wat she relates food to people, particularly her home and family. It makes the recipes accessible to all. I love cooking and I'm always open to new ideas; that little twist that makes a dish different. Nadiya's recipes are inspired but practical for any level. To be honest, I've never thought of using spinach for a breakfast main. But the Smoky Spinach Shakshuka is incredible. It's not complicated and could be served anytime, but it's heartwarming, feel good food.

The recipes are suitable for all levels of expertise. Brilliant all round.

Talk about making my mouth water! I can see myself once again in my kitchen, trying out some of the wonderful recipes that are in this Sampler. I loved her previous book 'Nadiya's British Food Adventure' and some of those recipes became a hit with my family. I can see the same happening with 'Nadiya's Family Favourites'.

The illustrations are colourful and the recipes will be easy to follow. What i also love about Nadiya's books are her thoughts. Her thoughts do tend to make me smile.

I do have a very sweet tooth and therefore it will have to be an Eclair Roll that i shall make when i next have company. Or it could be the Peanut Honeycomb Banana Cake. Oh, i cannot wait to try!

I do highly recommend this cookery book and shall be looking for a copy when i next visit Town.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for this Sampler. This is my honest review.

Nadiya's Family Favourites is a honest cookbook full of interesting family recipes and an insight into her own home life, from her husband clearing the garage weekly, her children's different food tastes and eating at the weekend when the family is on the go.

This book has 6 chapters including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinners, Snacks & Sharers, Something Sweet and Cakes, so there is something for each mealtime or inbetween - cake with that mid morning tea comes to mind.

The sampler book has 12 recipes, starting with Rice Porridge with Raspberry Rose Jam, Smoky Spinach Shakshuka and Ham & Cheese Crown for breakfast. For lunch there is Butternut Pasta Soup with Watercress and Niçoise Bake followed by Spinach & Paneer Kari Rolls in the Snacks & Sharers chapter.

Dinner starts with unusually mixing sweet and savoury together, so there is Beef Burgers with Bacon Jam and Grapefruit Chicken Stew plus some fusion cooking for dinner of Halloumi Curry with Coconut Sambal - I will certainly be making the Grapefruit Chicken Stew next week for the family.

In the Cake and Something Sweet chapters, there are recipes for Éclair Roll, Peanut Honeycomb Banana Cake and Bake to Front Cheesecake.

Each recipe in the sampler comes with a short introduction, excellent instructions and full colour photography. The recipes are mostly prepared or cooked within an hour, though the cheesecake chills in the fridge overnight - I doubt if it would last that long as I'd want to get started on it straight away as it looks so delicious!

I received this book from netgalley/penguin in return for a honest review.

So I had just sat down with my lunch and on checking my email I found a message from Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House, asking me if I would like to read and review a sample of Nadiya Hussain's new book as I loved her first one so much. Well yes I would, thank you very much. So lunch forgotten I have just read the whole thing. It's only a sampler so not that many pages but IT IS AMAZING! Nadiya is without doubt my favourite cook of recent years. All her recipes are easy to follow and the ones I have tried have always turned out brilliantly. I have used Nadiya's first book so much that some of the pages are now stained or suck together with a bit of spicy oily stuff or chocolate or batter. And I actually know a few of the recipes off by heart now, having made them so often. The new book is just as lovely to look at as the earlier one and Nadiya's witty stories and narration is so entertaining. The beautiful photographs make you feel hungry just looking at them. This food you actually want to cook and eat. It is not just a glossy coffee table book. Anyway, I will now eat my sad little lunch then I'm off to the supermarket for ingredients to make Halloumi Curry and either the Eclair Roll or Back-to-front cheesecake. Hey, maybe even both. Oh, and there's going to be a new TV series to accompany the new book! I still have all the earlier series recorded on TIVO. I am a huge Nadiya fan, and proud of it :)

The opening chapter home sweet home had me sold. It felt so honest and true and felt like this was an ordinary life just like mine so I had high hopes of these great recipes to sample!
Love the ham and cheese pastries, made these immediately.... more for brunch than breakfast but they were divine and so simple.
There quite a few others that I am keen to try out and look like some lovely family meals ahead!
