This was definitely a page turner. I really enjoyed reading this book. Highly entertaining. I recommend it.
I made it through the first three chapters. I thought it was unnecessarily graphic and gory. It was also heavy handed with colliquillism: Loppers. Wth are loppers? Nevermind, I figured it out but really.... This villian/hero (anti-hero?) was written without heart, without soul, addressing only the SuperEgo of a sociopath. I would not like to meet this author in a dark alley, with or without loppers.
As they hunt for the pedophile they find that Mr. Smith is the child killer. I really enjoyed this book. I can not give too much away or write too much on this review as I do not want to spoil it for others. I will say Please do not miss this book.
I have never read any books by this author but the description had me desperately wanting to read it. Well it didn’t disappoint brilliant story brilliant writing I am definately a fan!!
Murder on a freeway I've traveled many times...I was intrigued. I'm glad I gave this new-to-me author a chance. The story is fast paced (mostly) with a compelling storyline that has a lot of intricacies.
While it doesn't say it anywhere, I feel like this is part of a series and maybe we should have met some of these characters before. It's enough to wonder about and have you checking to see (it's not that I can find), but the story is enjoyable on its own and you won't be lost :)
Oh, this was a good one!
I love vigilante stories and this is one of the best I've read so far.
And of course the killer is named Mr. Smith! Somehow in this story it didn't feel cliche, it just felt right.
I don't want to spoil too much of this one for any of you so I won't write too much in this review.
All I will say is that you will find yourself rooting for Benjamin Kroh so hard in this one.
Do yourself a favor and DON"T MISS THIS BOOK!
"Mr. Smith" is torturing and killing child molesters and leaving them where they will be seen. He leaves a confession in one hand and a flash drive in another. Their clothes are in their laps, their hands have been severed.
What the FBI doesn't know is that "Mr. Smith" is using these deaths as bait..especially for Agent Benjamin Kroh. These killings are leading back to Kroh's hometown. . Why has he brought them here? This is a question that must be answered, if Kroh is to save his friends, his family, and himself.
This is not fast-paced, but the suspense comes in a steady flow. The author has spent a lot of time on character development of the good guys and the bad. It's a complex plot but extremely fascinating to follow.
Many thanks to the author / Dog Ear Publishing / Netgalley for the digital copy of this crime fiction. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
