I was looking for goofball "fluff" and this was noted as similar to Janet Evanovich's style and a "delightful romp".
Zany, slapstick "fluff" it was not. Oh, there was humor... but the wry / dry variety. Lillian was much more introspective than presented in the blurb. I really liked Bacardi, but the plot was pretty predictable and contrived in places. Story's resolution was too "pretty" for my tastes and most of the supporting characters were a little flat. I'm not sorry I read the book. It was a fast and easy read, But I'm going against Goodreads popular opinion here and just rating it 2.5 stars (rounded down).
