Yay! We finally get to read Jess and Pete's story. The two have danced around their attraction so long and Pete has proposed a couple of time and Jess has even said "yes" but something always comes up. Jess Tagg is really Selene Jessica Taggert, a socialite from New York City, who put her father away in prison for a large Ponzi scheme (at his request to save her and her brother). To escape the publicity and paparazzo, she moved to Montana a few years ago to work as an EMT with the PEAK rescue team with the help of her friend, Ty Remington. That is when she and Pete met. Pete has tried to get her out of his mind but has failed. Likewise, Jess has tried to get over Pete. The two meet back up at the wedding reception for country music star, Ben King and his bride, Kacey King, helicopter pilot for the PEAK team. Their reunion did not go well so Jess caught a ride from the party with friend, Shae and her friend, Ned. Unfortunately, someone ran them off the road, kidnapped them and took them deep in the forest. Injured, the three managed to escape the truck carrying them. There is a wild adventure from this point as they try to survive in harsh elements with their injuries and pray that help arrives in time to save them. The team finally realize what has happened and set out to find the three and whoever is after them. That is a real mystery. Everyone has suspicions as to who is after them but are not sure.
This is a great addition to this awesome series. Read for a wild ride of suspense, danger, romance and finding faith in times of need.
I received an ARC of the book from Revell Publishing through NetGalley. The thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Wait for Me by Susan May Warren is book 6 in the Montana Rescue series. And boy did I wait for this one!! No, I didn't wait forever because the book was delayed or anything like that. No, I've just been waiting for the resolution of Pete's story for, well, what seemed like forever. Sound melodramatic? That's because Susan May Warren has the talent to create a cast of characters and place so real that it feels like they are real characters, friends in fact, that you can't wait to revisit and meet again. This book is the last in the series, sadly, and I do hope that this team reunites in future books. Well, Pete and Jess finally have their story and it is one full to the brim with danger, excitement, and suspense. Will it all work out in the end? And will the team come to the rescue once again? You'll just have to read this book to find out! It is an amazing read and I highly recommend it, along with all the other books in this series. Now's the perfect time to pick up this series if you have not yet read it, since all six books have been released and you can read them all at once. Hang on, it's an amazing ride! I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Warren's books are always romantic and suspenseful and this one was no exception. My favorite part was about halfway through the book when I saw a plot twist coming a mile away and thought, "man, I'm disappointed in this" and then the next part had me going ohmygosh!!! Great finale to this series.

The conclusion to the Montana Rescue series has all of the elements that I love to read from Susan May Warren. There are tense adventure scenes, heart-pounding romance, and faith-stretching spiritual elements. The spiritual aspects are a bit more subtle in this installment, however they are present and the themes of forgiveness and learning to move forward are beautifully portrayed.
I have to say, the romance between Pete and Jess wasn't my favorite of the series. I thought her choices were selfish and their missteps in communication didn't really ring true for me. Either she loves/loved him or doesn't, I didn't like how wishy-washy she was about everything stringing him along.
The action and suspense of the story more than made up for its shortcomings in the romance department, and this is a very tense page turner. I loved this series and the look into the lives of rescue workers in the wilds of Montana. I can't wait to see what Warren comes up with next!

Wait for Me, written by Susan May Warren, is a great end to an awesome series!

I've been waiting for Pete's story so was thrilled to be able to read it finally!

I thought this writing style was a bit different than previous ones in the series because it had a lot of reminiscing. A lot of filling us in on things that happened between stories to keep us up to date on where their (Pete and Jess) heads were...or happenings between.

To say it was an edge of your seat kind of read is staying it mildly! Warren always has her exciting action scenes top of the line and this one isn't lacking to say the least!

Excellent drama between Pete, Jess, and Felipe...romance, fear factor, suspsense..it's all wrapped in one great read you must grab!

Where do I possibly begin? I have waited for this story, not so patiently, for what feels like forever. The agony I was in waiting for the release, was worth every moment. I was glued to my kindle from the very first page and didn’t want to stop reading for anything. I was on a jaw dropping, heart fluttering, nail biting ride, and I didn’t want it to stop. Warren paints a picture where I feel like I am there fighting to survive right along with the characters. No one can write like she does, and I hope she never stops. She easily maintains her spot as my favorite author, and I don’t say that lightly.

If you have read any of the Montana Rescue series you have no choice but to be as anxious to read Wait For Me as I was. I’m guessing if you are reading this review, that you haven’t. This story would be a great stand alone, but I completely recommend you get the entire series. If you are a book lover like me you won’t regret one second of it . The PEAK Rescue team is amazing and I loved getting to know all of them. I am actually really sad to see them go, knowing this is the last book in the series is bittersweet. I am so thankful I was along for the ride, and can easily see myself reading this series again someday soon. I wish there were more than five stars, I can’t recommend it more.

This is a great book for anyone who is ready for an adventure. I had no way of imagining the out of nowhere twists and turns that took my breath away. My heart was racing and I couldn’t read fast enough. The timer on my kindle was also torture letting me know I only had so much time left before the book was over. Pete and Jess were worth the wait. I was blessed to receive a complimentary copy of this book from Revell and Netgalley and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Wait for Me, by Susan May Warren is an action-packed contemporary romance with an underlying inspirational theme.

Pete Brooks works in Search and Rescue, yet he's thinking of finding a new career path. Also, he can't seem to move past his love for Jess Tagg, who is also struggling with balancing her life in Search and Rescue and her former wealthy life.

Pete and Jess have been in love for awhile, yet miscommunication, physical distance, and poor choices allow them to constantly breaking each other hearts. After a fight, Jess is involved in a major car accident, which leads to being held captive in the wilderness; meanwhile, Pete and their friends are desperate to rescue the captives.

Even though this couple's story has been introduced throughout previous books in this series, this book reads as a standalone. However, it's extremely recommended to start with the first book in the Montana Rescue series to meet all the characters and interconnecting stories through the PEAK Rescue Team in Montana, as well as learn more about Pete and Jess' turbulent relationship.

Wait for Me is geared towards those who enjoy reading contemporary novels with underlying Christian themes and a clean romantic storyline intermixed with plenty of drama, action, and intrigue.

The final book in the Montana Rescue series, Wait for Me by Susan May Warren was certainly worth the wait. Jess and Pete have danced around each other for quite a while in previous books. Then she ups and leaves for a time but now has returned. For me this was the story of the year.

I could somewhat predict how the story would go but it did not diminish the enjoyment one little bit. There are still unexpected events and danger lurking nearby. It was a exciting read from beginning to end. The entire crew that the reader meets in the first group are part of the book, so reading the books in order would enhance the enjoyment.

Pete and Jess finally get their turn, but there are a few more pressing details. Her fiance, real or show? Is Shae safe? Where is Blackburn? So many loose ends get wrapped up in an intricate and delicate fashion. While we get closure on Pete and Jess, Shae and Ned have turned into a beautiful romance. All through the series I so enjoyed the characters, their dynamics and religious impact. However, I was not a fan of Jess and her wishy washy ways. Pete pulled through with strength and bravery. A series finale finale well worth the read, suspenseful, sweet and heroic. I received an early copy through Netgalley.

Shae (Esme) has been running from a murderer for the last five years, and she is sick of it. Ben and Kacey's wedding reception seems a good opportunity to return to Montana - and there is always the hope that Ned will turn up to dance with her. But things are not to be that simple. As she leaves the reception with Ned and Jess, their vehicle is forced off the road, leaving all three of them injured and forcing them to fight for their lives to escape the would-be murderer. Ned has always felt inferior to his brothers, but maybe this is a chance for him to prove himself - to them, to himself, and most importantly, to Shae...

After a year of silence (and a reported engagement to her old boyfriend) following Jess' acceptance of Pete's last proposal, neither expects to see the other at the reception, and when they do meet, things don't go well. In fact, Jess leaves early with Shae and Ned, only to end up lost in the wilderness, injured and in danger. Rescuing people is what Pete does best, but will he be in time? And even if they all get out alive, do the pair have any hope of rescuing their relationship?

A fitting and satisfying conclusion to the series, we see Esme's story finally finished and Pete and Jess getting themselves sorted out too, after being somewhat on-again, off-again for most of the series. This series is really best read in order and all books, or the overarching storyline feels incomplete, though each book does have its own individual romance in front of that background.

Once again, we see a mix of action, suspense, romance and inspirational ideas/thoughts. The result is a well-written and neatly tied together story to both enjoy and learn from. Clean and with limited violence, this is not a book to start late at night, because you may find it impossible to put down! The action just keeps on coming, but without being overdone. A good end to a good series - though it's sad to say goodbye.

Characters: A mix of characters, and all felt realistic.
Storyline: Well done, full of action but still with some good character development.
Content and language: Clean, no issues noted.
Message: Some discussion of Christian ideas, mostly just the idea of relying on God.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

Loved it! Pete is a hot mess at the beginning and I was so excited to see how he reacted to everything this story threw at him. Jess's reappearance in Montana happens at the perfect time and the tension and chemistry between them is almost palpable.
The subplot involving Esme was also an intriguing twist and allowed for fast-paced suspense, including some truly heart-pounding scenarios. Susan May Warren has really upped her game in terms of crafting epic romantic suspense. The inspirational message, thrilling final scenes and awesome cast of characters brings this fantastic series to an appropriate and moving conclusion.

I received a complimentary ARC from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions stated here are my own.

Pete wasn’t looking for trouble but if he didn’t act right now at least one person would die. SAR Incident Commander -Pete was sick of failing, of seeing lives destroyed. Especially on his watch. His company rescuer Aimee told Pete he should wait. Nearly three thousand square miles of Ozark highland was under water and it was still raining. Pete and his disaster team had spent the last twenty four hours hauling people off roofs, pulling them from debris and searching for the unaccounted for. Pete saw an SUV half submerged , he got the husband and wife out now for the baby. The the vehicle jolted pinning Pete, he thought he couldn’t go, not without seeing Jess one more time. Even if the sight of her with another man night drown him more than this minute. Jess had nowhere to run. It didn’t mean she didn’t try but her fiance Felipe St Augustine had a grip on her hand. She would have fled from the mansion which was located in the heart of what used to be called Billionaire’s Row. Right into the thong of paparazzi just waiting to pepper her with questions, trail her every move, splash her grimaced face on copy and turn her into a clickbait for a syndicated slew of tabloids that lit up the internet. That's what she got for attending a fundraising event that had George Clooney and Ivanka Trump there. They both needed air, room to breathe. Sort out the whirlwind of events over the year that led them to today. Living a lie. Jess had no money and that kept her in Felipe's grip. Felipe had been more than generous this year sacrificing more than she ever intended or expected. But this was Felipe. Surprising. Charming. Loyal. Safe. Not the type of guy who’d ask her to dangle over a cliff with him, or tell her to hold on as he drove a four wheeler through a forest fire . Not bossy, or flirtatious, or impulsive. Not dangerous. None knew of this side of her life, knew her as Jess Tagg. She was Selene Jessica Taggart, heiress to the estate of former billionaire Daniel Taggart, who had bilked thousands of investors of their lives savings. Actually she was the turncoat daughter who had put Damien away to save herself. She had left it all- money, name, and reputation and fled to Montana to rebuild her life . She bought a house for a dollar and remodeled it with every extra dime she earned as the EMT for a private rescue team called PEAK. Jess/Selene misses her home and with that thought came the image of Pete- the man she loved. Felipe was just as trapped as Jess. Aimee had feelings for Pete. After almost drowning Pete takes Aimee to his room but when he took Aimee in his arms he saw Jess and they just watched tv. His friend Ben was a famous Country Western singer and he was celebrating his wedding reception this weekend. Ben had called Pete and he decided to go and asked Aimee to go with him. But Pete could barely look at her after the night i his room. Pete wanted to move on, he wanted to refind the fun loving Pete he used to be. Felipe told Jess it was time they married that she let Jess go and be who she was- Selene. Or tell her mother the truth who had a fatal disease and she was slowly dying. Ty was a friend of Selene/Jess called and told her to go to Ben’s wedding and Pete wasn’t going and Jess agreed to go. Jess sees Pete kiss Aimee on the dance floor and she goes to talk to Pete and they go outside and soon walks away. Ned and Shae give Jess a ride but they are chased and the person ran them off the rode and got them. They got away from the man following and shooting at the three of them. Shae had been hurt and Ned carried her. Then all three fell and kept going down.
I loved this book. It was an excellent read full of love, faith, romance, action, angst, intrigue, mystery, and so much more, I loved the pace and the plot. I loved Jess and Pete together and how they interacted together. Especially refusing to leave the other when there was danger. I loved the way the author showed different types of rescue and rescue teams during disasters. Happily I found nothing to criticize in this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend it.

-‘Jess ran her hands up her arms, needing more fortification than the beans in the cupboard. Because once again, no matter what she chose, someone was going to get hurt. She closed her eyes. And maybe it was silly, but she was raw and desperate and frankly too tired to do anything but unleash the cry of her heart.’-

I have read several, although not all, of the books in this series. They definitely must be read in order. This was the first time that I felt the author made a concerted effort to explain the characters and how they related to each other and I was deeply appreciative of that as, in the past, I felt very lost while reading the books. In this story, which concludes the six-book series, there was a lot more explanation of past events and character relationships. Yay!

I felt that this book, just like all the others, was very well-written, with a mature voice and lots of imagery. I had no difficulty picturing the action in my mind. There was a lot of gritty action and suspense and several side stories but I did not have any difficulty following the plot. It is a clean, suspenseful, Christian romance.

This concludes the series and the reader is left satisfied with the ending and the way all of the characters have closure. There were several twists and turns throughout the story which kept me, as a reader, guessing. I really liked the story overall and I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

This sixth and final book in the Montana Rescue series by the amazing Susan May Warren, was a fantastic way to wrap this exciting series!

Bringing Jess back to reconnect with Pete was perfect! All the twists and turns in this book had me spinning in a good way! I was so excited to see how the saga of the heartbreaking engagement of Jess and Felipe’ came around and how the explanation and relationship progressed throughout this book.

Once it was realized Jess, Shae, and Ned were missing, The PEAK team had to work together to find them…including Felipe’ in their search. It took them through rivers, trees, and storms.

There were a lot of flashbacks to catch you up, and you wouldn’t have to read the previous books in order to understand this book, I would really recommend it! To have an understanding of the past of the characters makes it easier to understand and helps fill in the gaps. The characters are so wonderfully developed mixed with the intensity of this book…a perfect combination!

WAIT FOR ME is the sixth and final book in Ms Warren's Montana Rescue series, and fans will want to read the previous books as Pete is in most of them and Jess a few. I've been waiting on pins and needles for this book, and am so excited to get my hands on it.

The book starts with a bang, slows down with Jess's point of view, then gets exciting again when she ditches Felipe and goes to Montana for a wedding reception. Then things get exciting, scary, and can't put the book down action. Someone is after Jess...or Esme (Shae). Ned is certainly not a target but since he is with the two women who are--or might be--he is.

A vehicle rollover. Lost in the wilderness. Multiple life or death injuries. Cold temperatures. No safe shelter. And no clue for the PEAK team to even begin looking for them. This is a page-turner, and I'm sad to see this team go. However I am now excitedly waiting for the beginning of Ms Warren's new series starting next year.

You will want to read this series in order, as I said. An awesome series by one of my favorite authors. The Faith message was awesome.

For the more conservative readers, there is some smoking, some drinking, and some mentions of one-night-stands and pre-marital sex.

I was given a copy free. All opinions are my own.

After building up a relationship between Pete and Jess for the first five books, Susan May Warren finally rewards her readers with them getting their own story in the last book in the Montana Rescue series, Wait For Me. A roller coaster ride from start to finish, this one will have you guessing at every corner who's behind everything, and will have your heart breaking for the treacherous journey that Pete, Jess, Ned and Shae find themselves on for the course of the book.

Pete and Jess' relationship has always been complicated, but it was made more so when Jess was revealed to be former New York society princess, Selene Taggart. She's made a new life for herself in Montana with Pete and the other members of PEAK Rescue, but family complications have called her back home to her family, and to her former fiance, Felipe. Pete has never gotten over how he felt about Jess, but after months of waiting for her to come back to him, he feels that she can't possibly love him the way he loves her. Shae and Ned had a whirlwind summer romance in the previous book, but haven't really seen each other since. When Ben and Kacey's wedding reception finally happens, these two couples will come face to face for the first time in awhile, and feelings will arise. Ned and Shae are prepared to take off where they left off, but Pete and Jess are both dealing with past hurts, and things don't go as planned.

Jess leaves the wedding reception with Ned and Shae and suddenly disaster strikes. The three of them find themselves in a precarious situation with their lives at stake, and it will take all the current and former members of PEAK Rescue working together to save them from someone's dangerous agenda, and the rugged, harsh conditions of the Montana wilderness. Pete will never be able to live with himself if he's unable to rescue Jess and tell her once and for all what he feels about her, and Jess' faith and trust will be put to the test as she struggles to keep herself, Ned and Shae alive in their precarious situation.

Once again, Susan May Warren has written a story that's filled with dangerous situations, characters who have to fight against the all odds stacked against them to truly ever be together, a plot that's action packed and full of twists and turns, and an ever present reminder that everything is possible through our Heavenly Father who loves us despite of everything. Wait For Me is the conclusion to the Montana Rescue series, and it wraps up everything beautifully for the reader. We're given a glimpse into every character featured in the previous books, we're given an answer to the many questions that have been raised throughout the course of the series, and we're finally given the romance we've all been waiting for since book one. While I enjoyed Pete, Jess, Ned and Shae as characters, it was really Pete that held my heart in this one as he'd been through so much, and truly loved Jess with everything inside of him, despite her repeated rejections of him.

While I'd still that the last book, Storm Front, was my favorite because of just how much I loved Ty and Brette, this one is definitely up there as one of my favorites from the series, and I gave it five out of five stars. I will definitely miss reading these turbulent, adventure novels from Susan May Warren as the characters have come to feel like close friends, but I look forward to seeing what new books she has in store for her readers in the future, and that hopefully she'll revisit these beloved characters someday again.

Thanks so much to Netgalley and Revell for the opportunity to advance read this!

Wait for Me by Susan May Warren is the final book in the Montana Rescue series. You could read the book as a stand alone but it will mean so much more to you if you have been following the characters throughout the series.

Admittedly I was getting a little frustrated with Jess. Then I realized the author was showing us God’s grace and love through Pete’s love of Jess. The fact that Pete had gone to NY and Paris and had proposed multiple times was beautiful. I just loved how he pursued her even outside his comfort zone.
Jess had issues she was dealing with. However I feel like she was just avoiding them. I was happy for them in the end but she needs a backbone.

Another parallel storyline was Ned and Shae. Susan did an amazing job here of making me second guess everything. Well done. Ned came to the wedding to be with Shae. They end up getting kidnapped with Jess. Most of the story is Pete and the crew trying to find them. Ned is dealing with trying to prove himself in a family of overachievers. He was a great addition to the story.

Sexual content - kissing, snuggling,
Violence - someone kidnaps them, they have to survive in the mountains, and someone is still after them.

The sixth and final book in the Montana Rescue series ties everything up with lots of action. This is Pete's and Jess' story for the most part and what a tangled story it is. Of course, none of the characters in this series has had an easy relationship with their chosen one. Action, mystery and romance makes this intense series a winner. Highly recommended!

"Wait for Me" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. It's the sixth book in a series. I'd recommend reading the previous books in the series as there are ongoing story lines that were further developed and wrapped up in this book. There were two romances.

Ned and Shae meet again at a wedding reception. Shae has decided to testify against the man who killed her first boyfriend even though this may put her life in danger. Ned is determined to prove that he's "good enough" and not a coward. He gets his chance when Ned, Shae, and Jess are kidnapped, escape into a wilderness, and must survive while injured. The suspense came from the danger from the kidnapper who's hunting them and the danger from the injuries and weather. The main characters acted realistically to events, and I cared about what happened to them.

Much of Jess and Pete's romance was told as flashbacks, which they each think about while waiting for rescue efforts to move forward. Jess has tried not to hurt anyone and has instead hurt everyone. Neither feels like they deserve a happy ending but still love the person that they are when around the other.

The Christian theme was that God loves you even if you don't deserve it. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable story.
