This was a thrilling story, full of suspense and thrills, keeping the reader guessing from the beginning to the end. I love Sandra's writing style and can't wait to read some more. Recommended.

As always a heart stopping jaw clenching roller coaster of a read. Fantastic, Sandra Brown always delivers.

I don't usually go in for books that involve romance in any way, but I felt that the plot sounded so good that I would happily enjoy the romantic elements should the thriller aspects, well, thrill me! This was my first time reading a Sandra Brown novel, although I wouldn't be averse to trying some more of her work. Having published seventy-two books, with fifty-seven of those becoming New York Times bestsellers, Brown certainly has a knack for creating timeless stories that both excite and engage readers from all corners of the globe.

The plot is a complex one which just manages to stay on the right side of complicated. There are surprises and twists aplenty, and they come at you thick and fast. Despite the many twists and turns, the plot maintains believability and comes across as rather realistic in nature, something I always appreciate and believe is the sign of a particularly adept writer. The characters were well fleshed out, and both Kerra Bailey and John Trapper are likeable, affable, and admirable people. As the synopsis suggests, there is a little romance sprinkled into this thriller, but I must admit I found the sex scenes rather offputting and unnecessary - they didn't add anything to the story, so I couldn't understand why they were really there. I don't know whether my dislike for romance novels was at play here or whether others would share my opinion on the matter. There is also humour in the plot which adds another dimension to the whole thing. If i'm honest, I underestimated how much I would love this, but I won't make the same mistake again. I will definitely be acquiring more of Brown's work to read in the future.

Many thanks to Hodder Paperbacks for an ARC. I was not required to post a review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

It's long ago I read any Sandra Brown book but I'm happy I go this one through Netgalley. Seeing Red has easily one of the most complicated and surprising plots I've read this year.
There are so many unexpected twists and turns you can hardly stop reading. What's more, those twists and turns make the story seem more real. Sometimes stories with a lot of surprises look artificial and stilted, but not this one.
Kerra Baily and John Trapper are both in their own way very likable characters, whereas Carson plays an important role while also giving the story some humor.
Personally I could have done without the lengthy and very expliciet sex scenes, because they didn't add anything to the story. I would have liked to read about the mutual attraction between Kerra and John without it coming to... well, you know. Like fighting scenes, I find sex scenes rather boring, so after the first one I just skipped them.
The book was published a in August 2017 so I don't know why it ended up in Netgalley only a short while ago but I'm happy to have read it.

A really good thriller with plenty of twists. I was gripped the whole way through. The plot was really good and the characters were good. I would definitely recommend this book.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.
