Not for me! Didn’t like the concept, didn’t like the characters, didn’t like the plot! It takes a lot for me to not want to finish a book, but this came close. Far too many spectacular books out there for this to make its mark with me.

This is the first novel I have read by Ali Knight and i thoroughly enjoyed, ‘Before I Find You’.

The story is told from the viewpoints of Maggie, Helene and Alice. Maggie owns and runs a private investigation business, which specialises in trapping cheating spouses. Helene hires her, as she believes her husband, Gabe, is having an affair after glimpsing him with another woman at a function.

Alice is Gabe’s daughter from a previous marriage but Helene loves her as if she is her own, being unable to have children herself. Alice is working as an intern at her father’s business which Helene attends a couple of days each week.

Maggie and her team pride themselves on being able to find the cheating husband and his mistress within a short period of time but this one is proving more difficult, although they are suspicious that something is going on.

Gabe owns a building business in London and Milo, who is a supporter of Gabe’s company with its social housing policy, becomes involved with Alice. This is where things become confused and complicated.

There are numerous twists and turns and, although I guessed a couple of them, they are all brilliantly developed and portrayed. This is the type of novel where I will go and seek anything else from this author. Amazingly clever.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Hodder & Stoughton and Ali Knight for my ARC in return for my honest review.

Excellent read with a different plot from the norm. Highly recommended.

Overall this is a good read. The story starts off with a woman trying to find out if her husband is having an affair. None of the characters are likeable and I had no empathy for any of them. There is too much happening to make the story believable. But if you are looking for a quick read on holiday then it's worth a try.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

Hooked from the start with lots of twists and turns, perfect for those who love a mystery!

Really enjoyed the contrasted personalities telling the stories on the countdown to the big event.

I didnt want to put this down once I got started. It is one of the best books I have read in a while.
Helene thinks her husband Gabe could be having an affair, so she hires Maggie Malone to look into it.
Maggie is used to solving her cheating partner cases fairly quickly, but this one is not as straight forward.
If you have got as far as reading reviews then I am sure you will have read the blurb and don't need me to write it out again. What you will be wanting to hear is that this is a brilliant story and is well worth reading. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Helene is suspicious that her husband is having an affair and goes to a detective agency to find out if they can get evidence of this. Maggie is the detective who is now following Helene's husband. This book is full of secrets and lies. Nothing is quite how is seems.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

Before I find you by Ali Kniggt.
‘I’m Maggie Malone, I run the Blue and White agency, and I’m going to find out if he’s cheating on you. I’ll tell you who he’s cheating with, where and how, I’ll show you the video, pictures or audio evidence if you want to see or hear it. And you’ll pay me.’
‘And then you get to skip all the bits where he claims it was a misunderstanding and he’s innocent and all that. It saves you a lot of time.’
Maggie loves her job and her office. Helene Moreau says to Maggie
‘I want you to tell me if I’m married to a cheating bastard.’.
This was a very enjoyable read. Some characters I liked some I didn't. It wasn't who I thought it was. 4*.

’Maggie is a husband watcher, Helene is a husband catcher and Alice is a perfect daughter ’
This book is a thriller with these 3 horrid twisted women. However, in a bizarre way, they are all connected by their lies and self-centred personalities very much like the 3 witches in Macbeth.
It was an okay read although the subject matter does make the book quite dark and unpleasant to read at times.
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher Hodder and Stoughton for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest unbiased review

A private detective story that just didn’t hit the reading spot for me. I found this one quite slow reading, not enough to capture and keep my attention. And also quite predictable.

Having said that It makes for a very easy read and has some twists. If you like the slower paced, easy read detective style novels then this book is well worth looking at.

It’s a not for me but may be for you.

Helene employs Maggie's private detective services as she doesn't trust her husband. We see the story unfold from Helene Maggie and Alice the step daughter! I really didn't see that twist coming and was kept intrigued by the story all the way through
Would like to see more of Maggie and her team investigating

This book was a fast read and although I enjoyed reading it, there are some flaws. The characters lack depth and sometimes they seem more like ideas for a character than not. For instance, in the cover text it says that Helene is a husband catcher. Well first this is a spoiler, second this is not the most important part of the plot. Every character in this book, except for maybe one or two, has secrets, secrets that come out of course. Some of those secrets are not so secret for the attentive reader, although there is one that is quite unexpected. One of the main characters is playing a role, a role she herself believes in, but nobody sees the lies and deception that lies underneath and that is quite strange.
It is well-written and all in all not a bad book but it could have been stronger.

Thank you Netgalley for this book.

This book had to have been written by a psychopath! I am not kidding! Horrible people who took their childhood traumas, instead of making them stronger; it made them trash! The ending in this book is horrendous! I wish that I had never read it! Extremely depressing! Thank you Netgalley?

Maggie runs a detective agency specialising in catching cheating husbands. Helena suspects her husband Gabe is cheating on her so approaches Maggie to find out the truth.
This is a well written book with plenty of twists and turns and the first chapter hooked me in as I wanted to find out how Maggie found herself in that position. The story had plenty of twists and I certainly didn't predict the end. This is an original idea for a story and I shall certainly look out for the author in the future.
My only criticism is that none of the main characters are likeable and this prevents me giving the book 5 stars.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for gifting me an ARC in return for an honest review

I had this as a holiday read and enjoyed it for what it was - an easy read that didn't take an awful lot of concentration. I did guess what the ending was going to be though

Gripping book that starts with a timeline of events that seem to be random but are all interlinked. I never expected the many twists throughout the book and every guess I had about the characters ended up being wrong but I was pleasantly surprised!

Maggie is a private investigator who specialises in marital investigations where one spouse believes that the other may be committing an infidelity. Helene is one of these wives, she approaches Maggie in a bid to establish who the 'other woman' was that she saw her husband Gabe being overly familiar with at charity gala. Helene's step daughter is central to the plot and it is a real family affair as the story unravels.

I enjoyed this book to an extent, however, I felt that it was incredibly predictable. For me, this mean that I didn't enjoy the story as much as I might have done as it was just too obvious how it was going to play out. Each chapter is told from the perspective of one of the characters and I felt that most of the characters (except for Maggie & Gabe) really lacked development - as such, I didn't really feel invested in any of them. This made it a little tricky differentiating between the 'character voices' of Helene (stepmother) and Alice (stepdaughter).

It was worth a read and had bags of potential, but I just don't feel it delivered as much as it could have done.

Thanks to Netgalley, Ali Knight and Hodder & Stoughton for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

3-4 stars. A good, decent thriller. I was hoping for a bit more, but did like it. Was a little choppy to me and got confusing at times, but other than that it was an enjoyable read and made me keep my interest enough to figure out what exactly took place in only 8 weeks!
Will be using In my challenge and recommending in Chapter Chatter Pub!

I was given an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

This one was just me all the way through. Not even recommended for hardcore lovers of this genre. I had been hoping you storyline would give it some pizazz but not so much.
