I adore Anna Jacobs books - I especially like those that form a series, and this is one of them. A lovely series, and I can’t wait for the next one.

A lovely heartwarming uplifting book about family loyalty, love, friendship and true spirit.
The characterisation was very good and really made the story come alive.
Compassion and human kindness within hard times was a subject deeply explored.
A easy to read story to escape in to.
My thanks go to Netgalley, the publisher and author for providing this arc in return for a honest review.

Harry Makepeace is an electrical engineer that lives in the smoggy streets on Manchester with a child Cathie who suffers badly with asthma, after the last time of being rushed to hospital Harry needs to move out of the city if he wants his daughter to get better.

Harry finds a lovely village on the moors where there is land available for sale would this be better for Cathie???

With Harry trying to organise moving to the village, Harry is over whelmed by the help he is offered in his and daughters new life.

This is a lovely feel good factor story of small village life with everyone going through different hardships but pulling together when needed. Lovely paced story with an interesting plethora of characters.

Another lovely book of the people in Ellindale,Harry Makepeace decides to move to the small village on the moors to aid his daughter cathies asthma.Living in Manchester is too dangerous to her health after a violent asthma attack. The people of the village as always are so eager to work and few offer to help harry with his move and to install his new home on the land he has bought.Only there are forces out to cause trouble but the villagers rally round to make sure all goes well and after a bumpy start all goes well.I can highly recommend this book well worth 5*
