I received this book from NetGalley.

It was published years ago, so not sure why it was given as an ARC now.

The story is based on a true story, but I am not sure what that was. The book is written like a conversation with a lack of punctuation. I was confused and felt the story did not provide enough information. There were two big plots, but still confused about both.

I would like to thank Xlibris Publishing and the Netgalley website for this partnership.

I was immediately attracted to the cover of this book: you see a young girl sitting on the grass.

Being a big fan of books based on real stories I jumped at the opportunity to read this book, I was not disappointed. He tells us the story of a young woman who travels making choices with the consequences it brings her. This is an Australian drama that takes us to Sydney and pubs in Western Australia.

This story is about experiences lived in a world that is not as safe as one might think, I agree on this point we live so much in a world where everything is hidden from us, newspapers tell us what they want to believe by hiding certain truths from us.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. The book was short story that in my opinion should have been longer in order to give the book some context. I found the plot lacking any depth and was confused as to what exactly it was supposed to be about. I found myself wondering when something exciting might happen. Disappointed that nothing did, because I found myself enjoying the characters and would love to have seen them developed a bit more.

This book was based on a true story, which has me curious as to the real life story it was based on. The author did a great job with this, as the plot moved along at a great pace and the characters were well developed.

I'm very open about the fact that if I don't like a book, I won't review it. The story itself was brilliant, it was sweet, but at the same time had the gritty bits that I love in a good novel (being set in a pub, believable life etc) so hence why I'm giving 3*'s, but I've had to knock a couple off.  My issue was the eBook book format I was sent to review. First off, the author's name is Josie Townsend - yet my eBook stated the author was Bryony Townsend. Which led me to be confused at first and I know ARC's have mistakes, so to be sure I checked Amazon & Goodreads to be sure. Upon checking Amazon & Goodreads I see the length of the book is supposed to be 246 pages. What I read is was nowhere where near 246 pages surely? not unless I flew through it at the speed of light? So naturally I'm confused.
