Ive read all of the gaius valerius verrens books and each one has delivered. Im a massive historical fiction fan, with a very piqued interest in ancient rome, so for me this was a must read.
I dont want to spoil the story as so many reviews i dead give you enough detail to not even read the story, and for me, that spoils it. But i will say that this book definetly has a 11 out of 10 score from me, douglas jackson is an excellent writer, he transports you into his words so in your minds eye you can see and hear and feel everything. I love his books and i cant wait to see whats next. Top marks!
