I absolutely loved this book. Wynthorpe Hall sounds such a wonderful place- taking care of everyone who crosses it’s path. They become family and part of the daily life in the hall. It is the perfect book to read over the festive period. Curl up in front of the fire with a hot chocolate with a cinnamon swirl and enjoy every single page.

I don't know why it's taken me so long to read Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls at The Winter Wonderland especially as I've previously enjoyed visiting Wynbridge, the fictional village that features in this series by Heidi Swain.

When Hayley discovers her fiance in a compromising situation during their engagement party, it's the final straw in their relationship and she calls things off. Living at home is not easy for her either, although she feels guilty about leaving her mum behind, so she decides to take up an offer to move into Wynthrope Hall where she has worked for many years.

The Connolly family have always made everyone who works or stays at Wynthorpe Hall feel like part of the family and that's especially true for Hayley and Jamie's friend Gabe who has moved into a cottage on the estate. Gabe is the strong, silent type but it's clear that something is troubling him. Will staying on the estate work its magic on him and make him feel a sense of belonging?

I have to confess that although this was Hayley's story, and I enjoyed seeing her deal with everything that has happened in the past to enable her to move forward, my favourite character has to be Angus. He was the epitome of 'Mr Christmas' and his love of all things Christmas really shone through the page. The concept of the Christmas Wonderland was magical and I loved how everyone worked together to put on this event and make it such a success and encouraged Hayley to put her talent to use, something she has kept hidden from everyone and has never shown anyone before.

Another fabulous festive read from Heidi Swain and I seriously hope that she continues to bring us back to Wynbridge for many years as every visit feels like reacquainting with old friends, not just the Connolly family but the whole village.

Although Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls at the Winter Wonderland is the 6th book in the Wynbridge series, I read it as a standalone and enjoyed the story just fine. This is the story of Hayley and Gabe. Hayley is the housekeeper at Wynthrope Hall. She has called off her engagement after her fiancé fooled around with another woman in the washroom at their engagement party. She wants to get away from all the gossip, so when Angus offers her the opportunity to move into Wynthorpe, she agrees. At the same time, there is another new arrival. Gabe is a friend of the Connelly’s son Jamie, and has taken up residence in the Gatekeeper’s Cottage, as the new Outdoor Activities manager. It doesn't take long for everyone to be caught up in Angus' new plan. He wants to host their first ever Winter Wonderland as part of the festive activities in Wynbridge. It doesn't take long for some chemistry to develop between Hayley and Gabe, but Gabe is hiding something and Hayley can't get through the wall he has built around himself. With Christmas Magic, and Starry Skies, will Gabe and Hayley open themselves up to love again?

This is my first visit to Wynbridge and I loved the characters, the way they are like a huge family, caring for one another. Hayley's situation broke my heart. How someone could do that to someone they supposedly loved is hard to fathom. I was happy that her friends step up to take care of things. Hayley is also treated poorly by her parents, to it was great to see Caroline and Angus step up to help her out and embrace her as part of their family. Gabe is the newest addition to Wynthorpe and he is a handsome devil, a hard worker, Jamie's friends and a man with secrets. We do find out what it is and I felt terrible for him. My emotions were all over the place when reading this story. The characters are wonderful and very well developed. I couldn't help but root for Hayley and Gabe to get together. There is much more to this story then romance. It has heartbreak, new beginnings, moving on, friendship, family issues, drama and angst, laughs and a huge dose of Christmas Cheer. I will definitely be reading more in the Wynbridge series.

I've read all the books in the series so far and there hasn't been a single one that I haven't loved! This is another beautifully written Christmas one that I know ill be reading again and again! I hope Heidi Swain keeps writing this series because I will always want to know more about this little place.
Every time we go back it's like getting to catch up with old friends.

Long before I’d read a single word of any of Heidi’s books I was a fan of the lady herself. Heidi is a people person who instantly puts you at ease in her presence. Not only does she put you at ease she makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. So when her festive feel good treat came up I jumped at the chance of being on the tour. I had hoped to have read this with many a Cinnamon swirl but that didn’t happen. Just like her previous novel I ended up listening to it even though I have a paperback too which looks truly gorgeous on my shelf. It’s the second time I’ve listened to Karen Cass and I must admit I really am a fan of hers also, if you’ve read my blog before I have listened to some really good and really bad audiobooks but this sure was a hit. When a woman can have a variation of voices well that’s a win in my book.

So Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls at the Winter Wonderland takes readers back to Wynbridge I had hoped to have devoured last years festive treat before diving into this but in Hayley style that didn’t happen.

I am looking forward to going back to it as I was pretty taken with my namesake – Hayley is a loveable character who I was rooting for from the off. Without spoiling any finer details her life changes quite quickly and dramatically early on into this novel. I just loved how she picked herself up and realised a lot more about herself. Which is something I’ve done in my life this year also.

What I truly love about Heidi Swain’s writing is how she creates a community you wish you were a part of. The characters from Wynthorpe Hall are an eclectic mix who feel like family.

In this gorgeous Christmas tale she has also touched on loss – the festivities often have us thinking of our loved ones who are no longer with us, and Gabes story really hit home for me. It’s hard to carry on and to smile when you’re grief stricken for a loved one and I totally understand that not in the same way he did though.

A sparkling tale that will leave you reminiscing of times gone by, looking forward to the future and reaching for a pastry. Heidi Swain has it all drama, blossoming romance, villains, you name it she’s got it.

This is the second story that I’ve read of late with a Hayley she’s also not really like me but she did make me smile from head to toe. If you’re looking for a book to get lost in this Christmas look no further.

I was so excited to be transported back to Wynthorpe Hall once again.

We follow Hayley, the upbeat cleaner from previous books as we learn more about her life and how she ended up at the Hall.

All the main characters are included in the story and it genuinely felt like visiting old friends!

Always a joy to read a Heidi Swain book especially one set at Wynthorpe Hall.

Eagerly awaiting more (hopefully!)

I've been rather late to discover Heidi Swain, but I really enjoyed this book. I've for sure got some of her other books on my TBR.

The characters in this book are fantastic. I especially loved Angus and Catherine and how caring they were of Hayley. It's a real feel-good relationship, and such a pick up for the terror Hayley has been through before.

Apparently there are recurring characters in this book, and that's made me more sure I will read another of Heidi's books in the future.

I adore taking a trip to Wynbridge, care of Heidi Swain's fantastic writing, and this was another wonderfully festive installment in the series. Swain's writing is moreish! Once I started this book, I was quickly taken straight back to a setting which is so familiar and characters that are like friends.

This is a classic festive romance, perfect for curling up with on a cold evening,

I absolutely adored this book ! As with all Heidi's books the characters draw you into their lives and you feel like you are there living it with them . The romance elements are believable that have you rooting for the would be couple from the get go!

I'd highly recommend this to anyone and I can't wait for Heidi's festive journey this year.

A brilliant, and totally Christmassy return to Wynthrope Hall. I loved that this book focused more on Hayley than the previous one and also the family feel it had.. As much as I would love to read more set in Wynthrope Hall, having read two books set there at Christmas I feel like it is the sort of place that only comes alive at a cold, snowy time of year. I also like the fact that some of the characters from Heidi Swain's earlier books are included briefly.. I laughed a lot reading this book and it really helped me get in the mood to celebrate Christmas.

Many thanks for my copy of Snowflakes And Cinnamon Swirls At The Winter Wonderland by Heidi Swain.

I know that Christmas is long gone but this book stayed in my heart long after I'd turned the last page. This is a fabulously festive read which I enjoyed immensely. There is just something about Swain' s writing that has the ability to engage the reader and fall in love with her characters.
Our protagonist Hayley is such an interesting character, but her story doesn't start so well - she storms away from her engagement party after overhearing her fiance in the throws of passion with a lady who works in the local chip shop. After this shock revelation she moves to Wynthorpe Hall. To take her mind off her relationship breakdown she immerses herself in organising The Winter Wonderland. It's also at this time she meets newcomer Gabe, who has just moved into the Gatekeepers cottage, he is handsome and swoon-worthy but hiding a secret. The delightful bit of the story was firstly getting to know the characters ( not her father) and watching them develop and then secondly watching Gabe and Hayley fall in love even though in the beginning she is completely sworn off men, it's nice to see the emotional wall they've built around themselves finally come down. This is such a heartfelt story it's easy to fall in love with Wynthorpe Hall and the other characters, I especially adored Angus ans Catherine. Heidi' s books always put a smile on my face, even when you're not reading and you remember the characters you smile. Highly recommended (even at this time of year)

This is the first book I’ve read from Heidi Swain but it certainly won’t be my last. I didn’t realise that the book was part of a series but I was so pleased when I found out as I’ll definitely be going back and reading all the others. The characters were likeable and I wanted to read more about everyone. The novel is a real cosy, feel good story. It’s perfect for anytime of the year reading but better over the festive period as it really helps get you in the spirit of the season. I cant wait to read other books from Heidi in the near future.

5☆ A Heartwarming, rich tale that has absolutely stolen my heart.

If I could give Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls at the Winter Wonderland
10☆ I would!! I devoured it in two nights I couldn't put it down.

I know Christmas is technically over now, but this book has so much warmth it's the perfect read to snuggle up with on a cold winters day.

Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls at the Winter Wonderland is a heart warming story full of loveable characters, the story has so much depth, juicy lil twists and secrets I didn't see coming, romance, humour, wit, loveable fur babies, all wrapped up in a stunning location and a family so welcoming I truly felt part of it.

Hayley isn't having much luck with the men in her life. Her Father has a gambling addiction and treats her like dirt.
She works at Wynthorpe Hall as a house keeper for Caroline and Angus, whom I adored!
So when things go disastrously wrong at her engagement party, she retreats to Wynthorpe Hall to lick her wounds.
But ends up moving in, when her parents kick her out.

It's here she meets the devilishly handsome Gabe (the New Outdoor Activities manager), who is mysterious, clearly haunted by his past, a lil bit cheeky, yet he can't help being drawn to Hayley he says she is an enigma, he can't stay away from.
I'm fact it's fair to say she calls him her Guardian Angel.

Hayley declares she's sworn off men and Gabe says he can't allow himself to be happy. So between the two of them the sexual chemistry literally sparks.
I adored watching their budding friendship and flirty banter develop.

Gabe's character stole me heart. I was so eager to uncover the mystery of his past, that when I did find out and I truly wasn't expecting it, it broke my heart. His character is one that you want to give a hug to and reassure him.

Heidi always writes such memorable characters you will treasure for a long time. They are always strong, loveable, relatable, you just can't help routing for them to suceed, especially with Hayley and Gabe.

There is so much I want to say about this book, but I know I can't as I don't want to give anything away.
There is so much to this story, heartbreak, love, starting over, secrets, learning to move on, learning to let go, family drama, passion, tender emotional moments, giggling out loud moments, friendships, relationships, drama. It literally has a lil dash of everything.

Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls at the Winter Wonderland is a vivid rich tale has absolutely stolen my heart.
It's an absorbing read that's beautifully written I couldn't put down, and I certainly didn't want to finish.

If you are looking for a beautifully compelling read, that will have you falling in love with the characters so much so you don't want to leave them, then I urge you to read Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls at the Winter Wonderland.
It really is a must read!
So grab a blanket, cosy up and prepare to be charmed by this utterly enchanting tale.

I would like to thank Netgalley & Simon & Schuster UK for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

The Winter wonderland sounds magical and you can just feel the joy in the air as the plans come together to provide a very Christmassy experience for all the locals. Angus is like a little boy trying to get everything imaginable for a winter celebration.

Lovely and Christmassy with a realistic storyline!

Hayley finally leaves home and moves into Wynthorpe Hall, where she is housekeeper. Swearing off men after her broken engagement, the last thing she needs is her friends deciding that the other new resident could be a match for her. All Hayley wants is to get on with her job and enjoy friendship with her co-workers.

This is a lovely, warm read - perfect to curl up with on a chilly afternoon. Lots of feel-good factor without being overly slushy, plenty of twists to keep your attention and, although part of a series, it is a smashing stand-alone read. The setting is wonderful, the characters varied and interesting and the writing created a lively and interesting read. An ideal festive read and one I'm more than happy to give my seal of approval.

My thanks to Simon & Schuster for my copy via NetGalley. This is my honest, original and unbiased review.

I enjoyed this Holiday romance set in the Fens of England. Not my usual book genre but Swain has created a cast of characters that are believable and create strong feelings for the reader. It is a little too sweet in places but an enjoyable easy read that gives what you expect. I can imagine readers coming back for more from Wynthorpe Hall and its Residents
