This book has so much more depth and drama than I was expecting from the cover and title. I thought that it might be lightweight chick lit but is a real family saga about how events 25 years previously have had a lasting impact on the lives of 3 sisters and the woman who adopted them. There are some very emotional sections, so you might want to have some tissues handy. Lovely setting and great characters. Highly recommended.

This was my first Sarah Morgan novel and I went into it knowing absolutely nothing about the book except for the word Christmas.
This book was so good. Heart warming and it brought a tear to my eye many times. I'd been a bit stressed and my other book couldn't keep my attention, my mind kept wandering back to the stressy situation. However, this book kept my attention and kept me sane in the early hours of the morning when I couldn't sleep.
I would definitely recommend this book (and I may have already preordered it for a friend) and i may just have to go find some other Sarah Morgan novels to read!

A troubled family comes together at Christmas and works out how to get over the past. A really heart warming story. It has made me want to spend my Christmas in a snowy remote village in Scotland!

A real feel good Christmas read. This is about three sisters who after a tragic accident sees them lose both their parents get adopted by their Mum’s best friend. Now grown up nobody talks about the tragedy and how it affected them they each cope in their own way. This Christmas finds them with lots going on in their own lives but when they get together everything ends up coming out. How will they deal with the secrets they’ve kept to themselves for the last twenty five years. Sarah has written this in such a way you feel drawn into all their lives. Will they be able to work through everything after all these years. I highly recommend reading this book to find out how it all goes.

This was just a lovely book. Theee sisters all going home to Scotland for Christmas. All have been affected by a tragedy when they were children and have grown apart as adults. Posy stayed in Scotland but might now want to spread her wings. Beth is s stay at home Mum but is it the right time for her to go back to work. Hannah is a high flying business woman and can she let someone get close to her. The book is written from their POV and also their mother, Suzanne POV.
This would be a perfect read in front of a log fire. You knew roughly what was going to happen to each sister but it was still enjoyable to read.
If you want an easy read with added emotion then this would be perfect. Thanks to HarperCollins UK and NetGally for an ARC

This is a completely different book from Sarah Morgan as it focuses on a whole family rather than just one couple. Three sisters who lost their parents in an accident 25yrs ago at Christmas time, all come together with their adoptive parents and attempt to have a quiet year. Lost of troubles and laughter occur along the way.
I loved this book from start to finish and I know that every fan of Sarah will agree with me.

Having read nearly all Sarah Morgan’s books I was really looking forward to reading this and was slightly disappointed with the story. When I read the preview I thought that 3 sisters in 1 short novel would stretch it too far & after reading it I think I was correct. I don’t feel that her recent books have been as good as the Manhattan series she did as I haven’t felt as much empathy for the heroines. . My main negative feeling was that the story was too short to develop the characters fully as there were too many to keep switching between in such as short book & as such I wasn’t too bothered what happened to any of them as they felt too 2 dimensional & I didn’t warm to the Suzanne character at all really which was a shame.
I will still look forward to Sarah’s next book but I won’t be rushing to the shop to buy it like I did with her earlier novels.

Sarah Morgan has done it again. She really is the Queen of romance novels and I truly loved this festive romance set in Scotland, with the McBride family getting together for Christmas. Mother Suzanne wants nothing better than a happy relaxed family gathering. Her youngest daughter Posy is single and works with her father in mountain rescue with her highly trained dog Bonnie. She has never felt the desire to fly the nest and lives in her home village in the Scottish highlands, but two of her daughters live in the States. The first born Hannah is single and has a very high-powered job and Beth, the middle daughter is a married stay-at-home housewife with two gorgeous daughters of her own. Suzanne can’t wait to see her children and granddaughters.
The first to arrive, Beth comes alone and a week early. Then shortly after that Hannah arrives and virtually locks herself away. Whatever could have happened? Posy has a new smoking hot boyfriend and is seriously contemplating what she will do when he leaves Scotland. Will she go with him or will she stay at home helping her mother in their café and craft shop. She doesn’t want to upset her parents but she is tempted by his talk of climbing in the States. Three much loved daughters are reunited. Everything is changing. The house full of drama, squabbles, heartache and plenty of problems must be resolved and sorted out. It’s certainly not what Suzanne dreamed of and worked so hard to achieve. Secrets from the past are a bubbling hotpot and they must be faced, owned and thrashed out.
This is an absolute dream of a novel. The storytelling is exquisite; the festive setting adorable and the storyboard is full of promise and skilfully developed as the story progresses. But most importantly the characters are so believable and interesting. I love novels about family and friendship and this novel has this very theme. What more could you want? I cared about the people in the story and I rooted for them, full of empathy and concern. I was not disappointed by the finale which was truly the ending this story needed and deserved.
I received this book through my membership of NetGalley and from publisher HQ in return for an honest review. Thank you most sincerely for my copy. I think this author is so talented, fresh, and original and she never lets you down. This is an excellent, page-turner and will certainly add to your festive cheer. It’s a 4.5* review from me.

We all want Christmas to be special but for Suzanne it has to be special. Her best friend, along with her husband and two others were killed in a climbing accident at this time of year and Suzanne was the only survivor Three little girls were orphaned and Suzanne and her husband took them back to Scotland and brought them up.
Posy, still lives at home, Beth is married with two girls and lives in Manhattan as does Hannah.
They are not the closest of sisters but this year are all coming home for Christmas and Suzanne is determined to make it unforgettable. However, nothing goes to plan but sometimes life works out better than we can hope for.
A feel good book to curl up with at Christmas.

A book that I finished with a happy smile on my face, and it left me feeling a little bit festive - although it's far too early to let that feeling grow! I have three sisters and I enjoyed reading about the three sisters and their mum who are the main characters in this warm family tale, I totally empathised with the bickering and family roles that we all tend to fall back into far too easily. I liked the switching viewpoints, they kept me interested and helped weave events into an absorbing story. A lovely comforting winter read.

The 3 McBride sisters are spending a family Christmas in Scotland with their adoptive parents .Each sister has personal issues to sort out. A wonderful, enthralling book to curl up with.

The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan a four-star read you will want to open. This author gives us good heart-warming stories that make you want to snuggle in comfy chair with a cup of hot chocolate and this book to while away a cold wintery afternoon. It gives you that feeling while reading it even when you can’t be in those circumstances. This was a tale of family and coming together and anyone with a family with even the slightest drama will know that Christmas is a hard time to be together and this author shows us that, but she also shows us hope and shows us how sisters pull together in the best way possible. These sisters are such compelling characters, they all have differences and are amazing in their own rights, the way they have been written make you adore them and need to read each page quicker than the last.

Although this was not my usual genre I enjoyed this book.
The storyline of three sisters and their disparate lives was engaging and heartwarming.. The characters were well written and likeable and you just wanted to keep on reading to find out more about them.
A good book to curl up with on a winter’s day.

Once again Sarah Morgan produces the most wonderful story. I loved everything about this book, characters, setting and plot was all spot on. The alternating points of view were really good and gave you a different perspective which I really enjoyed. This has everything I want in a good christmas read.

A festive feel good book. Three sisters come back home for Christmas. We discover why they have become the women they are today and more importantly so do they. Beautifully written story.

A christmas treat. Be taken to Scotland and explore the tentative relationship between three sisters: Posy, Hannah and Beth. Over Christmas they learn to communicate and heal the sad and tragic events from their past. They learn to open up to love. A real female sense of solidarity and reinforces the importance of having a good sister who you can trust and who will listen and support you. A festive escapist read. Would recommend. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this book.

This book was just what I needed after a few quite heavy going books this was like a breath of snowy fresh air
From the beginning I loved the characters and actually had something in common with each of them rock climbing excluded. I felt immersed in this book like I was all ready a character, this makes it very easy to read, I loved the descriptions in the book of the surroundings I completely forgot that is based mostly in Scotland the description could have been mountains anywhere
It is Sarah Morgan's fantastic writing that makes this book wonderful she encaptures the essence of Christmas I could smell the cinnamon pancakes and turkey! But that skill only comes with good authors who know how to evoke that place in your brain that triggers your own memories allowing you to get all round almost 3D book!
I love the three sisters and am anxious as to what will happen next to them please say there is a sequel maybe they could all be on holiday in a villa in Greece ??!

Lovely read abour family life and sisters. I love reading Sarah Morgan's books. Nice easy read with a happy ending. Perfect. Thank you Sarah for writing yet another fab story.

Loved the setting. Good strong characters and a Christmassy story line.
Sisters Hannah, Beth and Posy were orphaned when their parents were killed in an avalanche when they were young. Adopted by their mum's best friend Suzanne and her husband Stewart they are taken to the highlands of Scotland to be near Stewart’s family but they are all affected in different ways by the tragedy.
Hannah has a high flying career in New York and doesn’t like going back to Scotland, Beth also lives in New York with her husband and two children and Posy helps to run Suzamnes cafe, climbs mountains and volunteers with mountain rescue in the highlands. They all appear to be living the lives they want.
Suzanne likes to have them all home for Christmas and this year is no different but when Hannah and Beth arrive early, Beth without her husband and children, some long hidden feelings come to to the fore and the sisters realise that their lives may not be as perfect as they appeared.
Can the magic of Christmas help the sisters rediscover their closeness or is it too late.
It made me want to spend a snowy Christmas in the highlands!

I can’t express how much I love this book!
The Christmas sisters by Sarah Morgan is absolutely delightful. Now I’ve finished it I’m bereft it’s over and would love further books featuring Hannah, Beth and Posy.
It’s so well written that you almost feel part of the Mcbride family and I’m sad to leave them.
After an avalanche kills their parents, 3 young girls are raised by their mothers best friend Suzanne and her husband Stewart in a remote apart of Scotland. They love and adore them as if they were their own, but now in adult hood each girl faces demons that relate back to that fateful accident.
Hannah - the eldest sister now lives in New York, she has a fabulous career but is often seen by her colleagues as cold and unfeeling and maybe even a little scary. A woman who doesn’t do emotion and relies on facts and figures to get her through life is unnerved when work college Adam enters her life and falls for her. When Hannah finds out she’s pregnant she flees back home to Scotland ( a place she’s been avoiding) for Christmas to try to figure out what she wants to do.
Beth - the middle sister gave up a successful career to raise her 2 girls. Now they are older and with husband Jason’s career going from strength to strength, Beth feels trapped. She craves adult conversation, is envious of sister Hannah’s lifestyle and wants to return to work. When she is headhunted by her old boss Beth is excited and elated to think of returning to the advertising career she gave up,when she tries to tell Jason he tells her he wants another baby ! After a massive argument she also flees back home.
Posy - the youngest sister has never left home. Living in a barn on her parents estate, Posy is a keen mountain climber and belongs to the local rescue team. She also works with her mum in her cafe and helps out with renting out their log cabin. When a handsome stranger, travel writer and adventurer Luke rents it out for a few months so he can complete his new book he opens up Posy to the idea of travelling and forefilling her buried dreams.
Posy feels obligated and trapped by her parents as she doesn’t want to abandon them after all they’ve done for her and when they rely on her so much. . But is Luke all he seems ? And will the sudden arrival of both her sisters over Christmas with their own dramas help Posy put to rest her demons and bring the sisters together like never before.
This is a lovely, charming romantic and funny novel that I could easily see being made into a Christmas movie. If you only get one Christmas book this year make sure it’s this one.
