In 1 John chapter 2 verse 6 we are commanded to walk as Jesus walked and that is the theory around which this book is based. Each section has been designed with an introductory overview called "Getting Started" followed by five days of personal study. These studies take about 15 minutes once you have checked the various bible readings. At the end of each section is a part for deeper reflection. This makes it ideal for the small group setting and would add considerably to what the individual reader gets from the book.
I enjoyed this book but would have enjoyed it more if there was somebody there to discuss what I was learning.
I was given this book by Netgalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary and impartial review.

Any book called walk like Jesus faces a challenge: does it aim at the general reader and disappoint those who want more depth? Or at the student who wants to know the details of following a rabbi? For example, walking like Jesus meant that physically as well as in imicharacter ... And being an imitator of Christ is about as literal as it can be. I liked this book: it had short snippets of deeper insight wrapped in the need for reflection on its points. My only gripe was that you have to look every scripture up. I realise it's a study guide but trying to read it and having to dip 'out' to look up the scriptures...it would have flowed better having them right there or as a downloadable resource.

This will make for a perfect suggested read for my a level students when looking at an in-depth study of Jesus and his role as God, as Man and as a anthropomorphic figure.
The breakdown is clear, the passages well chunked with Bible references. It is the deeper reflection questions that will enable students to challenge their own views on topics covered.
