This is the first book in a series featuring Doctor Samantha Willerby. The book takes the reader on a twisty and turny (is there even such a word, there should be now!) ride, and leaves you exhausted but really satisfied at the end. Recommended for anyone who loves a good who-dun-it!

I really enjoyed this one, it was great that the lead character was a clinical psychologist as it gave the story a different slant and approach for me that I thoroughly enjoyed!

I thought Sam was a great character and I loved how her background came out, especially her relationship with her sister as the book progressed – Sam is a very believable, well developed character.

I thought how the story gradually unfolded was excellent and I was hooked and wanted to know more. The plot was gripping too and I was trying to second guess how it would end.

A solid four stars from me and I’m really looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series!

This is a well-written book that intrigued me from the start. The storyline was easy to follow and full of well-drawn and interesting characters. The plot was gripping and the pacing was perfect. Just when I thought I'd figured everything out, the author throws another twist into the story which sent it off in a different direction. The outcome was a complete surprise. This is the first book I have read by A.J Waines and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Bloodhound Books for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Really enjoyed reading this book a lot. The story seemed to flow very naturally and the characters were believable.
The story itself had some gripping and tense moments and I was very happy I got the chance to read it.
