In The List that Changed My Life, we meet sisters Georgia and Amy. When Amy is diagnosed with MS just before her thirtieth birthday she asks Georgia to finish off a list of things she wanted to complete herself but became too ill.

Georgia is the least outgoing of the two sisters but she can see how much it means to Amy so she sets about the challenge because she doesn't want to let her sister down.

It is a warm and witty novel which deals with the subject of how lives are impacted when a serious medical diagnosis is made to a family member. The book starts just as Amy is given the devastating news and I would have liked a little more background story to this. I know the road to a diagnosis of MS is a long, frustrating one, so that would have added more to the story for me.

The book gives a powerful message, not just about chronic illness but also that by stepping out of one's comfort zone, amazing opportunities can arise. Also, it shows the strength of family love and how life must never be taken for granted.

I found this funny and moving debut novel truly thought-provoking, charming and unique, and look forward to reading more from Olivia Beirne.

As someone who constantly has a to-do list on the go, although I don't seem to be very good at crossing things off them lately, this book immediately caught me eye so when I was invited to be a part of the blog tour I didn't hesitate to accept.

We all think we've got all the time in the world to cross things off our bucket lists but when Georgia's older sister Amy gets a health diagnosis which will prevent her from doing some of the things on her 'Before I'm Thirty' list, she challenges Georgia to complete them for her! And in doing so sets Georgia on a trail of absolute chaos with unexpected results especially when she adds in a few extras specifically for Georgia.

I loved the whole concept of this storyline as sometimes we all need that little incentive to push us out of our comfort zones as most of us are creatures of habit, I know I am and it sounded like Georgia was too. She certainly wouldn't have chosen to do many of the things on her list herself but what could possibly go wrong... well a lot as it would seem as I literally had tears from laughing at some of the situations that Georgia finds herself in especially when it came to her date with 'Tinder' Jack.

Olivia Beirne has created a whole cast of fabulous characters with of course Georgia and Amy leading the way, the sisterly bond between them was so strong and such a joy to read. I haven't got a sister myself but if I did theirs would be the type of relationship I would want, being there for one another in their times of need and supporting each other through the good times and the bad although they can test each others limits too.

There was an element of inevitability about how it was all going to play out but to be honest I didn't really care as I was so caught up in this gorgeous, feel-good story about taking what life throws at you and running with it. I was championing Georgia all the way in her endeavours to complete her challenges, how she does you'll just have to discover for yourself.

The List That Changed My Life was an entertaining debut from an up-and-coming author which was a total joy to read from start to finish so I'm eager to see where the writing of Olivia Beirne takes us next.

When her sister, Amy falls ill and can't complete her "bucket list", Georgia is challenged to complete it for her from making a perfect Victoria sponge to jumping out of a plane!! With her family and friends encouraging her to face her fears, will Georgia finish the list?

I found the story to be pleasant but I just couldn't take to the main character. She doesn't really seem to do anything for herself and a lot of what she achieves are due to the actions of other people. Reasonable read for the commute.

This was a heart-warming read of Georgia and her sister Amy. Amy has a bucket list, but when she is diagnosed with MS, she realises that she’s not going to be able to do all the things that she wanted to do. Instead, she devises a list for her sister Georgia to complete instead!

When I read the blurb for this book, I knew I wanted to read it. It seemed not only different, fun and quirky but sensitive, sad and thought provoking. The concept of a bucket list isn’t a new one and I have read other books along this theme. This though, looked at it all from a different perspective and this was what really drew me towards this book! I loved Georgia and Amy’s relationship, Amy knew instinctively which things to choose for the list that would push Georgia out of her comfort zone and Georgia knew how much this meant to Amy. As the book progresses, you can see how the list makes their relationship grow stronger and closer.

I did expect it to be a fun, chick-lit romance type book, but it was so much more than that. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of romance and fun – I spent most of the book chuckling to myself, particularly when Georgia and Amy’s mum was on the scene! – but it was also a heart-warming story of love, family and friendship showing how just how far you would actually go for people you love and care for. It is an emotional book so be prepared not just for tears of laughter, but of sadness too.

I thought this was a beautiful read that leaves you thinking about it for some time after. I have no hesitation in recommending this and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

What an absolutely fabulous debut novel!

I loved Georgia and what I loved even more was the relationship that she and her sister Amy have. If anything I was so envious. These two have got a great bond though at times it is pushed to the limits.

The list of things that Amy gives her sister to do, I have to admit there wasn't many that I would have wanted to do. Not that Georgia does either for that matter. The majority of them make for fun reading though as she works her way through them.

The story is very much a mix of romance and sisterly love and how far you would go for the ones you love. At times it does get really emotional and I would have to stop to wipe away the tears but I would happily shed them all over again as it was such a great read.

The List That Changed My Life is a wonderful debut which I really think will change your life, or at least have an impact on it. It gives you food for thought, of which, whilst at times emotional, was a fun and entertaining read. Very much looking forward to more from the author.

I’m still trying to process my thoughts about this book which is unusual as normally at the end i can tell straight away whether i liked it or not.

I thought the overal story was good but i just didn’t warm to the main character. I’m not sure why this is....

Other than that there were some really funny parts in it which i did enjoy.

This is an inspiring read which did take me a few chapters to get into and I thought it was just going to be another run of the mill chick-lit type book with no substance. However once the story gets going with Georgia who has been given a list of tasks to do from her sister Amy, who has recently been diagnosed with MS. Along the way Georgia is constantly pushed outside of her comfort zone and slowly towards the end of the story, starts to realise how valued she is in her life which is something that some of us can identify with.

A delightful read and I am pleased that I kept going as the story is uplifting and I very much enjoyed Georgia chemistry with Jack too. Plus Georgia thoughts on approaching some of these tasks is quite comical too.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this lovely book.
