I’ve read Jo Watson before and enjoyed her books, this was a fun quick, lighthearted read. I enjoyed the story line and the endings always predictable. Only criticism was reading when they got high, I thought it was unnecessary but I skim read that part. Enjoyed the book and I would look out for her next one. Thank you for approving my request.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

This was SO MUCH FUN to read!! I wasn’t sure what was coming from on eoage to the next, but I laughed, smiled and shook my head throughout. This is the perfect story to wind down to and have some fun with!

The writing style is brilliantly done, thoroughly engaging and easy to follow with Characters that feel very real indeed. Responses and reactions are logical, reasonable and much more fun for it! If you haven’t read it yet, you certainly need to add it to your pile!

Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for the opportunity to read this book

A pure joy to read, full of many laugh out load moments and memorable scenes,

There is the yacht trip that doesn't go quiet according to plan, the speech at an engagement party that kicks everything off, and even the whole airport scene ending up on a flight to somewhere Val has never heard of.

So many highlights, and so much fun. It is a bit of shame we don't see so much of her friends as we have in the other books in this series, but its due to that reason that its easily readable as a standalone.

The main setting is Reunion Island, and was a fabulous location it is. I could really picture Val and Alex's adventures as they together work through a 10 things list from a magazine, about getting over the love of your life.

I can easily say that Jo Watson is getting better with every book, and coming up with even more amusing ideas for her characters, This is easily one of my favourites in the series, and I can't wait to see what she writes next.

Thank you to Netgalley and Headline Eternal for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Val and Alex are brought together by a series of funny and slightly cringy circumstances. And both find themselves in need of help recovering from broken hearts. So they pal up and devise a plan. A ten step plan. After all what can possibly go wrong!
This book will have you cringing in embarrassment for the girls, laughing at their escapades and wishing you could join them in their island escape. It’s light, fun, funny and engaging!

4 Stars!

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an Arc in exchange for an honest review

So here’s the thing. We’re in October, and normally I crave fantasy, nope. Not this year. Give me all of the Chick Lit I can ingest. I don’t know what it is about Jo Watson and her books, but I can’t help how much I enjoy them. I sadly DNFed After the Rain because sadly I couldn’t really get on board with the characters. THIS however, my god. I adored it!

We firstly start off with Val who is the “best (wo)man” for her best friend Matt. She has been hopelessly in love with him for three years and has done a lot to make him see what he’s missing. However something very embarrassing happens at the engagement party so Val is mortified and has to make a swift exit. Some things play out (which for me I found hilarious) and she ends up getting on a plane to a place she has no idea even existed.

There she meets Alex and the story plays out, he’s getting over an ex who cheated on him and she’s there trying to get over her un-requited love. The friendship begins to grow and they take to the magazines and get a check list of “how to get over an ex” and let me tell you it was just so funny!

Why may you ask?
Swingers party they had no idea about
Getting drunk and burning things on a beach
Bum Jokes (when you find out Alex’s job this will all make sense)
Terrible terrible hair choices

There were plenty of laugh out loud moments!

I honestly didn’t want to put it down, and the connection they had just made me so happy!

This is full of many tropes and cliches but I’m not mad at it, it’s what I wanted to read and it’s one of those books where I physically didn’t want to put it down!

I need more of Jo Watson’s books, because they’re just so addictive and you can’t help but to sit and laugh and root for people to get together.

Overall I really did enjoy this, I kind of wish in the epilogue we would of got more of an insight as to what had happened, but it’s set it up for a novella instead. Lots of laughs and plenty of moments where I was shouting DON’T DO IT!

Another great book from Jo Watson. This story centres on Val, the only single one of her group of friends. After running away from a party after embarassing herself, she ends up on Reunion island. There she meets Alex. He is also heartbroken, so they decide to get over the heartbreak together. Soon they become more tan friends, but what will happen when it is time to leave the island?

And even better is that there is antoher book in this series still to come!

Happy, bubbly, humorous and so enjoyable! I've read a couple of novels by Jo Watson but this one is by far my favourite so far. I loved the storyline it was engaging and lighthearted and I loved the character of Val, she was really easy to relate to and I was laughing along with her as well as crying!

Fab book, thanks for allowing me to read it.
