I'm not one for Christmas themed books usually but this was a fun little read that kept me entertained. I would be interested reading more by Karen Schaler. I would recommend if you love a little romantic easy read.

I missed out downloading this one so I bought it instead! I love a good Christmas story, no matter what month it is! This one gave me the Christmas feels even though I was reading it outside in the Summer heat. Some great characters, unforgettable moments and a cute location.

With thanks to Netgalley and Little brown book group uk
Christmas camp is one of those Christmas books that makes you want to curl up on the sofa with a big mug of Hot chocolate and spend the day reading.

Great book for getting into the Christmas spirit., and it’s full of ideas for things to do as a family up to and during Christmas! Too bad it’s still months left! There was one detailed that put me off a bit, let’s ignore that I’ve never met anyone who wants to eat an ice cream outside in snowy weather, one thing I am certain of. That I cream will not be melting. But otherwise the book is full of heartwarming scenes.

I really enjoyed this book and the cover is just so lovely. It was brilliantly written with a great cast of characters that kept me turning the pages. The plot for this had me intrigued. Perfect read to escape from day to day life.

I'm a total sucker for anything with 'Christmas' in the title and this book lived up to all my expectations. I totally adored it.
Highly recommended.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

OMG ...I absolutely loved this book.
The Christmas camp is exactly what a holiday themed should be.
It gave me all the feels and made me all cosy inside.

Loved this cosy Christmas read! Didn't realise until after that the author wrote A Christmas Prince - I really hope this gets picked up for TV too, I think it would be amazing! If you're looking for some Christmas spirit, start here!

I couldn’t resist looking at the Christmas novels on NetGalley recently and found myself downloading a few. Christmas Camp was the one that called to me the most due to the gorgeous, snowy cover and I’m so happy to say that the novel is every bit as fabulous as it looks!
Haley is a workaholic and is something of a grinch, she has zero Christmas spirit but is vying for a partnership in her firm and this means winning a lucrative toy campaign requiring lots of Christmas joy. Her boss decides that the things she needs is a week at Christmas Camp to find her Christmas spirit and Haley has no option but to go.
I loved this novel so much! It’s set in the week before Christmas and is full of festive spirit. I get so disappointed when a novel is marketed as a Christmas read but you really only get Christmas at the very end of the book but I’m so delighted that Christmas camp has all the Christmas you could possibly want from start to finish!
Haley is determined to get through the activities as quickly as possible each day so that she can return to her room to get on with her presentation but the adorable Max the dog has other ideas! He latches on to Haley right away and is determined to get her involved. I loved Max so much, he’s made me want to get a dog. He really is a character!
The Camp activities include things like making cookies, going sledging, cutting down a Christmas tree – everything you can think of that relates to celebrating Christmas. I’ve always adored the festive period and still I want to go to this Camp, it just sounds so magical and wonderful!
There is a potential romance in this book between Haley and the owner’s son but the path of true love doesn’t run smoothly for these two and I was never quite sure if they’d ever manage to get things worked out so they could be together. I enjoyed these parts of the novel but especially the way that it was more about Haley working out her own life and what she wanted rather than her bending her will to be what a man wanted her to be.
There is real heart in this book; it explores so many of the complicated emotions that always come with the festive time of year and does it in a way that is really genuine but also always uplifting. I shed a few tears reading this book but ultimately I finished it with a great big happy smile on my face!
Christmas Camp is a really festive, feel-good novel and I highly recommend it. This is going on my list of books that I’ll read again in future at this time of year!

This is a first for me by this author... but it won't be my last.
I didn't realise this was the same author as 'A Christmas Prince'... whilst I haven't read the book I have seen the film and I think this book would also make for a great Christmas Film.
From Karen Schaler, the award-winning writer of Netflix sensation A Christmas Prince
Haley Hanson's idea of the perfect Christmas is escaping to the Caribbean to work so she can avoid all the traditional Christmas distractions. Over the years, she's sacrificed her personal life to climb the corporate ladder at a prestigious advertising agency. Now she just needs to land a coveted Christmas toy company account to make partner. But first, her boss, Larry, thinks she needs a holiday attitude adjustment, so he ships her off to a Christmas Camp at Holly Peak Inn to help her find her Christmas spirit.
Arriving at the charming mountainside inn, Haley meets the owner's handsome son, Jeff, and feels an instant spark, but resists the attraction, refusing to be distracted from her goal of doing all the required Christmas tasks as fast as possible so she can get back to work.
At first Haley struggles with all the traditional Christmas Camp activities. It's not until she finally allows herself to slow down, live in the moment, and let Christmas back into her heart, that she begins to grow closer to Jeff. But when he finds out Haley's come up with a plan to help his dad save the struggling inn while he's been trying to convince his dad to sell it, their relationship takes a serious holiday hit. Now it will take the magic of the season to bring these two hearts together.
I absolutely loved this story... it's a perfect holiday read... One to snuggle near the fire with a cup of hot cocoa and the duvet.
With Christmas recipes... lots of festive magic and wonderful characters... what more could you want from a Christmas story???
I look forward to reading more of Karen's work!!!
Thank-You Netgalley for my ARC.

I Love a Christmas book and this certainly has everything you would like! Its so Christmassy from the beginning! I can see it being a movie !!
Hayley doesn't do Christmas she would rather be in the Caribbean and work but in order for her to land a big account her boss sends her to Christmas Camp where she can't avoid getting into the festive spirit. It's true escapism and a fluffy feelgood easy to read book. I loved it !

When I was looking on Netgalley the other day and saw the cover of ‘Christmas Camp’ I knew I really wanted to read this book. It just looks so pretty and cozy. And after I read the book description, I was even more excited to read this book. I love Christmas books, I love Romance, and I loved the Netflix movie ‘A Christmas Prince’.. So when I saw this book was written by the screenwriter of ‘A Christmas Prince’ I dropped everything and started reading.
In ‘Christmas Camp’ we meet Haley Anders. Haley has worked really hard to become one of the best at the Boston advertising agency. And the fact she doesn’t really have a personal life, and doesn’t celebrate Christmas makes her only more determined to do her absolute best. But when a new account comes to the company, who happens to be one of the biggest Christmas Toy companies she is determined to get the account. All she has to do is get a certificate at Christmas Camp. Christmas Camp is the perfect place to get into Christmas. There are lots of activities and there is a very handsome son of the owner, Jeff.
From the moment I started reading ‘Christmas Camp’ I was hooked. I loved reading about Haley and her journey to get her Christmas spirit. Haley is so used to working hard all day, everyday that she forgot to life. And it was so fun to read how she slowly unwind at Camp. And how recognizable, I mean aren’t we all a little too hooked on our phones and work these days? The chemistry between Haley and Jeff is there from the very beginning. But they don’t see eye to eye about this camp at all. And it was super fun to read about there interactions.
And Christmas Camp.. Well, if there was a Christmas Camp here I would totally go. It sounded amazing. A cozy Christmas hotel in the mountains. Snow everywhere. Christmas decorations everywhere.. It sounds amazing. And those activities.. I would love it!! And I loved how this book was able to make me even more excited about Christmas than I was before I started reading.
This book was a perfect romantic Christmas read. I loved everything about it and couldn’t put it down. I put some Christmas music up in the background and it was just amazing. I wanted to get my Christmas decorations ASAP. (Unfortunately, my husband wouldn’t agree on Christmas decorations in October!! LOL!!)
If you ask me, ‘Christmas Camp’ will be a great movie as well. And like this cover says, this definitely is a magical feel-good holiday read!

Fancy a heartwarming, festive read? Then I recommend Christmas Camp, a novel that delivers on its promise of a feel-good romantic story. Set in a magical snowy backdrop, the plot is filled with all things Christmassy, the perfect place to help workaholic Haley find her Christmas spirit. It’s a lovely read best savoured with a hot cocoa and some classic tunes in the background. A holiday romance that will touch your heart all the while reminding you of what Christmas truly is about.
Overall, I liked the author’s writing style and the atmosphere conveyed in the book. Granted that the idea of your boss forcing you to go to a Christmas camp to land a key account might not necessarily be considered all that much credible, I didn’t dwell on this and still enjoyed the ride for what it was: a charming moment to escape and daydream. Plus, at the end you get the good news that a sequel will be published!

Such a delightful Christmas story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved the concept of Christmas camps! I was rooting for the characters all the way through. Would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get into the Christmas spirit and it definitely make you remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Cosy Christmas escapism - a book about finding that (sometimes hard to find) Christmas spirit, about love, people and togetherness and, of course, about the sheer joy of Christmas itself. Pick this book up without preconceptions, grab a hot choc and marshmallows, sit next to a roaring fire (or a radiator! - it matters not!),get cosy and read on....

A nice easy cost read, if a little predictable.
Haley only cares about work and desperately wanted to promotion bit first she needs to find her Christmas spirit at Christmas camp. Can she recapture the joy of the season and find her happy ever after

After seeing that this was the author of the Christmas Prince movie on netflix I couldn't wait to have a read! This is the perfect festive story that will really get you in the Christmas mood.

A perfect heartwarming Christmas book, escapism at highest level.
It's an enjoyable and entertaining read, perfect for a cozy afternoon on the sofa.
The book is well written, the plot reminds of the Hallmark holiday movies and the characters are likeable and interesting.
It's page turner that keeps you hooked till the last page.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to Little, Brown Book Group and Netgalley for this ARC

If you loved Netflix's A Christmas Prince then the new book by writer Karen Schaler is for you! This is the most Christmassy of books - even Scrooge himself would start singing Hark The Herald angels Sing after reading this!
Workaholic Haley Hansen's idea of a perfect Christmas is a trip to the Caribbean with her suncream in one hand and her laptop in the other. She's determined to focus on her career and become a partner at the advertising agency she works at. all she needs to do is land the coveted Tyler Toys' account. The problem is Tyler Toys represent traditional Christmas values and Haley hasn't got a clue. As research she is sent to Christmas Camp.
Short of a trip to Lapland, Holly Peak Inn is the epitome of Christmas, and a week long activity programme featuring everything from decorating Christmas trees to sledging, snowball fights to baking is designed to help you reconnect with the holidays and find your Christmas spirit. Can Haley find the inspiration she needs to win the toy account? Or will she find something more valuable?
I loved this book! It's heart-warming and charming and I have never wanted to visit a fictional hotel as much in my life!
Despite her corporate career aspirations, Haley is likeable and funny and you are with her every step of the way. Hotel owner Ben, his son Jeff (who is of course gorgeous and successful) and their dog Max are the perfect hosts and the various guests are distinctive and on their own Christmas journeys.
This is the perfect holiday full of Christmas magic, Recipes at the end include the cookies the characters munch on all through the book so you can bake your own.
There's a sneaky preview of the sequel at the end of the book and I will definitely be reading that when it's published.
Highly recommend this festive fun read!
Thank you Karen Schaler, Little Brown Book Group UK and NetGalley for this advanced copy in return for an honest review.

A brilliant Christmas read full of warmth. Grab a hot chocolate and be sure to curl up with this book by the fire, you won’t be disappointed
