Marvelous!! I loved this book and was so sad to finish reading it. The characters are all so wonderful, I want to carry on reading their stories.
Once again I cried and laughed in equal measure, I really do hope their will be a third book.

I really enjoyed reading the second instalment of Aisling and her friends. I loved how the characters were portrayed; very realistic and I could easily warm to them.
Once again I was grateful to YouTube for helping pronounce the Irish names, I actually enjoyed seeing how near I was.
I hope there's a further book as I'd love to see where the characters go next.

Everyone knows an Aisling; you may even be an Aisling yourself, so there is much to identify with in The Importance of Being Aisling - the further adventures of this fabulous Irish heroine.

This is a robust, cosy, feel-good comedy - just the thing to curl up with on the sofa on a chilly winter’s night.

A funny and heartwarming read, perfect for all lovers of Irish chick-lit.

Aisling is back! After last year's massive success, we're getting a whole new dose of everyone's favourite typical small town Irish girl. The story continues on from last year's book and there's just as much drama and excitement. All the usual characters are there: Aisling, her John, best friend Majella, Mammy, Sadhbh, Elaine, Niamh from Across the road, as well as some new faces to shake things up and keep it interesting.

While I didn't love it as much as I did the first book, I still really enjoyed it. It was pleasurable, funny (the part on skinny legged suits being in fashion and being able to pick Conor McGregor's mickey out of a line up had me in stitches) and relatable. While I might not be a complete AIsling, I can see myself in parts of her. Especially the part about packing and coping on the flight to Vegas, last year when I went to America I had also looked up what films would be on board before going, had my podcasts up to date, Netflix episodes downloaded, a stack on magazines and books and headphone splitters in case my other half wanted to watch something along with me, chargers, spare chargers, you name it, I had it!

The other thing I loved about the book was the female friendships, old and new, the ups and downs, the way they had each others backs and supported each other. As with the first book, some pretty serious issues are broached, which reminds me of Marian Keyes' style of mixing the serious with humour. This book is perfect to read on a rainy afternoon where you need a good pick-me-up. Looking forward to book 3 already!

It took me less than a page to realise how much I had missed Aisling and her unique wisdom and then I was hooked, unable to put the book down until I was done (at the same time wishing I had been able to eke it out slowly because now I miss it already)

I love the turns of phrase, the characters, the little details (the pinata...genius)...basically all of it. Bravo Aisling - you're a star. I only wish I had it all to read anew

When I saw this up for review I was so excited - it went to the top of my TBR list!! I loved the first book and thus one didn’t disappoint- Aisling is such a loveable character and if you’re a fan of any Irish chick lit in the style of Marian Keyes you will love this . Picking up where the last book left we see Aisling still with her long term beau John, working at the same pension company and e njoying organising any hen or baby shower going .... the book uncovers new characters as well as visiting old ones and envelopes you in Irish village life . It’s just perfect and was devoured in less than a day ... more please !!!!
